I really need some ideas for a bg. sweatdrop Even suggestions of what color it should be would be nice.

I'm thinking either light green with light pink dots or light pink with green dots or just flat fill of either...but that's just me. (And I'm not very good with backgrounds.)
I usually just fill it and then change the hue and saturation until it looks good.

I don't want to just... floodfill it or do a plain pattern though, because this is a tryout for an advanced oekaki, and they want backgrounds that are actually... a place or something. gonk Otherwise, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Woah, you have to do tryouts for an oekaki? That's pretty hardcore.
Something about it makes me think of either a casino or a bar though. Maybe some sort of swanky bar in the background, or Blackjack tables~?

Oh snap, yeah, I guess in that case a flood filled background would not fly.
I'll second what Our says about the bar or casino. She seems like she has a flirty look in her eye or has seen someone who caught her fancy--and a bar or casino setting would probably fit her expression perfectly. (As well as the colour scheme)
Additionally, I think that type of setting would work with the lighting you've already done on the subject. smile

Our- Yep. It's the most hardcore oekaki ever. Suta-Raito There's lots of great artists and while most of the art is usually just spam, it's still HAWT spam from people who know how to draw. xd
I really want to be accepted since a few of my friends already draw there.
