The final versions of Diamond/Pearls Pokemon have been released. Anyone interested in knowing the names can go here. Discuss: Your opinions on the new names. Likes/dislikes. Where'd they think up that name? This thread will now be used for general D/P talk, including exchange of Friend Codes, help, and team construction.

They did a very good job with the new games, I prefer Diamond over Pearl although I got both. xd The names are fine, but I wouldn't consider any to be "good" or whatever, I'm neutral to their choice of names. Also, I sugest that you don't use the touchscreen. The touchscreen is just annoying because it tends to hurt your hand, because when you press the buttons on the touchscreen you have to take one of your hands off, not to mention the little pen that comes with the system that gets in the way since you have to hold it and play at the same time. I, so far, have gotten all eight badges and reached the elite four building, but I have been spending my time training my Infernape which I have just recently traded over to my Diamond version from Pearl, considering the use of two DS's in possesion. To everyone out there...
[This Might Include Spoilers]
Make sure that you save right before you fight the enemy team boss, and after, for you will fight Dialga/Palkia immediately after defeating the boss and to save your Master Ball (trust me, you will need it), keep going after the legendary with your Ultra Balls (oh yeah, make sure you are stocked up), after you lower his health to the red zone. And one more spoiler (I had trouble with this so I guess I'll help everyone else out with it), you might find yourself stuck and the only possible path is where the Psyduck are. To get passed that, search in a town to the south, closer to the middle of the map, and go to that town where you can find a team grunt (Team Galactic for the Diamond version, not sure for Pearl) that talks to himself and says he is going to use a bomb to blow something up. Once you are stuck, talk to him and follow him as he runs, you will then proceed to getting a medicine that will make the Psyduck get out of the way. (I got stuck at this part right after going underground and running through the evil team base.)

Yeah, I got stuck with Psyducks. I spent my time wandering around until I randomly talked with the Galactic member. It was funny...
Oh, and for Dialga, I got it with a great ball. xd I wasted 1 ultra ball and 1 timer ball... Hmm... Game Freaks couldn't make Palkia/Dialga harder to get. I don't blame them, there are more legendaries than before whee Mespirit is so cute! Even though I hate using legendaries... It feels so wrong to use 'em...

I know what you mean, it does kinda' feel wierd using legendaries, most likely because there is only one of each in the game and it feels too unique, to the point where it doesn't seem general enough. Can't really explain it anymore than that, but I know what you mean. Actually, I could have used a Great Ball on Dialga now that I think of it, I nearly had him down to 1 hp. I guess I wanted to be sure that I would capture him so I used the strongest ball I had that I knew I could get more of. Recently I've just been doing the underground activity thingy where you dig for gems because I want my own base and I'm hoping to get a fossil or two. I'm kinda' stuck, mostly because my current task is to finish the elite four, but I'm too lazy to level all of my team up to 70 (which will assure victory if I do). sweatdrop

Yeah, I'm lazy about training too -_-' My pokemon are still in the 40's sweatdrop See how lazy i am? I haven't even passed Victory Road. I just go inside and roam around. When I'm tired wandering around, I use escape rope and go somewhere else xp Anyways, want some fossils? I only have skull fossils... I want to trade it for an Armor Fossil stare

(Lv. 15 for the first gym, 5 levels added for each gym following, leaving me at 55+ by the Elite Four). I've defeated the Elite Four in Diamond already. They seemed too simple, even with psychotically high-leveled Pokemon. (I still think Red/Blue versions Elite Four had the toughest ones).

I'm stuck looking for Rock Climb, so I haven't faced Cyrus the second time. I make up for my being about... five, ten levels behind my making a champion team. It's really widespread, but I'm working on my only real weakness, Electric, with a Roserade.
