Ok, so this morning I took my two kitties to the vet to have them fixed. One hour later, the vet call me to say that Roxy is pregnant. The father is obviously Strike (her brother) because they don't go out and Jedi is already fixed. The vet told me that the babie might not be alright and have malfunctions so it was better for Roxy to abort. I said ok, but I feel kind of bad. Did she know that she was expecting babie? Does she already have a maternal instinct? Will she notice the difference? I hope I made the right choice. What do you think about it?

...wow.....well.....ummm....inbreeding is very bad....especially if it was a sibling from the same litter.....it can cause birth defects and problems..........................and all female cats have maternal instincts.....for example...my cat has been fixed since she was 5 weeks old....yet she carries around my stuffed animals and licks them as if they were her babies...and she always howls...its weird.....................how old is she?....because if your original plan was to get them fixed...you need to do it before sometime around their first birthday.........and did she know she was pregnant...that depends on her behavior...................was it the right choice....that depends if you are willing and able to take care of the kitten, which it might not have problems or it might not survive....inbreeding is pretty unpredictable...........

Thanks for the answer! I talked to the vet and he said that it was the right choice and that it was really early so she didn't even feel that she was expecting babies. Now she's back home she's still dizzy.
