Rooftop.
Through a door in the upper part of the dorm buildings, you will find an entrance to the rooftops. It's flat and empty, with a strong railing around it for protective reasons. Certainly don't want anyone falling off and hurting themselves. It's quite a long drop. From here you have a fairly good view of the campus, as well as the stars and moon at night.

Kazu went over to the far side of the roof that was sloped down a bit and lay down staring up at the sky. "Whatever." He said back to Kira, he had never looked at the sky before, when the starts started to come out before it got really dark. He wondered why he had not done this before, in a way it gave him thoughts about his own story that he wrote in privacy away from curious eyes. He would most likely return to this spot if he was blocked, or if he wanted to just stop and enjoy the part of life that did not ask questions, constantly bother, or ridicule. Except it was just there, minding its own way, being beautiful without a care to what everything else did. He liked that.

Kira sat for a moment, then flopped onto her back, laying flat on on the roof. Her hair was spread out in a fan like shape around her, just reaching her shoulders, and her tail flicked lazily up and down against the ground. Her head turned, and she viewed Kazu in a way that he appeared upside down. She just watched him, silently as she tried to regain her breath, as he stared up at the stars. After a moment, she too turned her gaze towards them, watching silently. Her blue eyes blinked, then focused on a certain star, watching it suddenly disappear. When she looked away, it came back into view, but when she looked back at it specifically, it faded again. She smiled to herself, then glanced to a specific set of stars, the Big Dipper. "I like it up here," she said softly.

Kazu didn't reply to her, instead he just nodded slightly and gazed up at her for a moment. he slowly shifted his gaze back to the sky when she didn't say anything else, his yellow eyes carefully following its own paths around the gaps between starts, every single detail in the sky. In his hometown he had never seen the sky so clear and spread out for him, like a blank book awaiting its writer. The sky in the part of Tokyo were he lived had always bin a bit cloudy, or seemed to have a sort of dull veil in front of the sky. He closed his eyes for a moment, dwelling on the silence of nature, and its peace. There was a loud screech of twisting steel as the railing started to become untangled as if it buckled under the wait of an extremely heavy object. Kazu flung his eyes open and stared at the railing as it stopped in the midst of its destruction and fixed itself upon its previous form.
He knew what it was, the family that pretended to care had swam into his thoughts ruining his mood. He never knew how to keep the thoughts from coming, they just did anyways. In his mind Kazu thought he was just ignoring them when in the world in front of his closed eyes, the material under his manipulation became deformed. Either rusting up into dust like some sort of metal decaying plague, or twisted into scrap metal in seconds. He stared back at the stars quietly and did not say a word.

Kira had closed her eyes, shrugging off the fact that she'd gotten no reply. Eventually. Eventually he'd start talking more. She'd just wait it out. She let out a sigh, breath fully regained now. It was kind of relaxing up here, just lying under the open sky and- Her thoughts cut off at the sudden screech, and her hands clasped over her sensitive cat ears. "G-gah..." she groaned, and lurched up to a sitting position, turning to stare towards Kazu.
At first she didn't say anything, just watching quietly. He seemd alright, but the metal sure didn't. She frowned, then spun around without getting up, until she was facing him. She bent one knee to the sky, wrapping her arms around it and settling her chin on top. Her injured foot was extended straight out in front of her. "...Are you ok?" she asked quietly, but loudly enough for him to hear.

Kazu's yellow eyes traveled again to the girl and lingered there for a short moment before blinking it away slowly. "I'm fine." He replied in the same tone, and nearly with "whatever" just using different words. He did not have to tell her anything, that was not part of his promise. He just had to give her a chance to whatever it was, and thats what he did, even though part of him was glad that she did make it. He could force that down though, just like everythign else he had forced down, away from the surface for all to see him. The real him, the softness he had, but kept hidden away by a shell of anger and mistrust.
The only time he would let himself free would be when he was alone, writing, or caring for the scars that came across his shell by his own doing. But that was fine, hidden away, for none to see. Some of his tattoos covered the scars he could not cover himself, ad instead chose a different place to place his wounds upon.

Kira frowned, then slowly pushed herself up to her feet. She balanced crouched on one foot as she gathered up the crutches, then slowly rose, settling them in place under her arms. She awkwardly made her way towards him, then leaned against the railing at his side, peering up at his face. Her bright blue eyes were narrowed as she focused carefully and closely on his expression. "...you're not fine," she said bluntly. "I can tell when you're lying." Well, she hoped this was true. It was an instinct, and she was trusting it at the moment.
He was definitely lying... And she felt bad, for some reason. She wasn't even sure why. But she stared almost unblinkingly up at him still, waiting for a hopefully honest reply. "Question and answer session," she added suddenly. "Ask me something, then I'll ask you something."
[Ugh! He totally needs a hug! Dx]

Kazu glanced at her for a moment as she moved around to look at him then shifted those yellow eyes of his away. He knew what was coming next, she would most likely start asking questions, or claim that he was lying in this case which he was. Kazu started to play around with his lip rings again, looking at the sky quietly. "I have nothing to ask you."Kazu replied in his "whatever" tone looking at her for a second then away to a distant star. He was not much of the question asking type, or question answering type. He rather preferred to keep things to himself, there was not point in telling people things they didn't need to know, nor would care about.

Kira pouted at him for a moment, not very surprised by his response, and then let out a loud sigh. "Fiiiine.." she frowned, dragging out the word. "You're just ruining the game though." She turned so she was facing the railing, still standing by his side, and set her elbows on the top part. The crutches were resting against them on her other side, and she was standing balanced on one foot.
She hummed a soft tune to herself for a few seconds, then stopped and glanced at Kazu out of the corner of her eye. "...do you need a hug?" she asked suddenly, a large, playful grin spreading across her lips, though she was being partly serious. Hugs made her feel better when she was in a bad mood, and this guy always seemed to be in a bad mood.

Kazu looked at her. "I didn't know we were playing a game." He said looking at her a bit longer and then looking away, of course he expected her to say something like that. If he asked something that gave her a chance to ask something about him, and he really hated talking about himself. He began to drift off in his own mind again as his eyes traced their own patterns in the stars, what did he have to think about, what didn't he have to think about. "What?" Kazu asked after he herd the question, he was thrown off a bit with a attitude as if he had been offended.

"Question and answer game," she replied smugly, and then set her cheek on her hands, which were now gripping the rail. She peered up at him, her cat ears perked and tilted towards him as well, and her tail sprialing down her right leg again. "You heard me," she smiled. "Do you need a hug? I think it'd make you feel better, even though you won't tell me what's wrong. And don't be offended or anything. I need a hug every now and then too. I wasn't trying to be rude or something." She was frowning now, still staring up at him from below as she waited for what type of response she'd get.

Kazu sat up facing away from her, part of him wanted what she offered but he pushed that down like everythign else. "Keep it to yourself." He said in the "whatever" tone and stood up pressing his tongue against the lip rings and headed back towards the door to the stairs. This girl was an odd person, never seeming to quit on talking. She was like a cold that you couldn't get away from, but he did get away, but of course something brought him back. Taking her to the hospital was a mistake on his point, he should have just left her alone.

"But it's weird to hug yourself!" Kira protested, turning her head to watch him go. She frowned, then grabbed up the crutches and started after him again. She wasn't sure why he was leaving. Hadn't he promised? "Have I already lost my chance? Just like that?" she asked, ears drooping again. After all that work climbing all those damn stairs, and she'd already screwed up? She stopped following and sighed, but in her frustration it came out as a growl.

Kazu looked back at her for a second and went down the stairs. "You still have a chance....." Kazu called back to her as he went down, not even sure of himself why he did say that back to her. Maybe because he still cared, Kazu had no idea for himself. This girl was making a mess of the entire image he had posted outside of himself to keep people away, with a part of it being his fault that she was talking to him in the first place. He walked down the stairs now focused on getting to his room, for whatever awaited him there, he couldn't stand being out any longer. It was her that was making him act abnormally.

Kira looked up, eyes widening for a split second as she heard his reply. That wasn't... what she'd been expecting, but she'd admit she was relieved that's what he'd said. She smiled faintly to herself, then turned, and instead of following him back down those horrible, foul stairs, she stepped into the elevator. She pressed the button for the bottom floor, and then leaned her back against a wall, eyes closing. She was really tired, actually. She hadn't had a proper rest since her being lost in the woods for more than a day, and then going to the hospital, and finally climbing up to the roof.
All of that had taken a lot out of her, and she was exhausted. But, she'd followed Kazu anyway, because she honestly did want to help somehow, and she did find him interesting, and she also felt if she hadn't followed, she'd never have seen him again. She sighed to herself, ears twitching at the small 'ding' before the elevator doors slid open. Once they had, she stepped through and glanced around herself.
