I personally believe that it would be hard to make the movie anything like the book. Movie makers tend to screw it up in the process. And then many people end up hating it that actually read the book. But who knows if they ever make this into a movie it might be different. But generally the movies suck.

I completely agree I cant think of anyone good enough to play Edward, without being different from the book.

I think the movie will suck.
They'll cast the characters wrong, they'll ruin the settings (School, houses, etc.), and probably make Edward look like some stupid thing when in the meadow (Which I hope they do not do).
I'm against the movie, even though I fricken love the book a lot.
PLUS, people will be like, "Oh, I love this movie soo much," where most of them, will probably not read the book. stare
It's very stupid.

Although if there is one, I'll see it, I'll buy it when it comes out, and posters if they make some. I just hope they don't ruin it.

Yeah, if the movie people do to Twilight what they did to Eragon, I will HUNT THEM DOWN and SKIN THEM ALIVE with a PLASTIC KNIFE like they use in cafeterias. Think how painful that will be. I think that the girl who played Violet in The Series of Unfortunate Events Movie would be a great Bella. Also, Stephanie Meyer's pick for Edward, Henry Cavill, is as close as they're gonna get, because, face it, DNA will NEVER look that good. If they screw up the medow scene, I will probably die.

- Movie news! According to this thread on the Twilight Lexicon forums, the movie that MTV was producing has been cancelled. The script was so horrible that Stephenie Meyer just said no. It had a "Shakira"-like Bella who was athletic and graceful, the Cullens didn't exist, Edward was totally out of character, and Bella tries to kill Laurent (not James) with a gun. No matter how much fans want a movie, that just is not Twilight. There is hope though, as a small company that has approached her about doing it and they want to keep the main aspects of the book

I agree that was a very good book, but I really hated what they did to the movie.

I believe that if the movie is based on a good book, the movie is good, but if it's not then it's bad. Like a book I've read, Blood and Chocolate, The movie just came out and it's nothing like the book... it's okay... but not the best movie I’ve seen. One of my friends said he'd rather watch poke`mon and he HATES poke`mon.

Edit: Sorry that I didn't read any of your posts first. But there is good news on the movie. STEPHINE MEYER WILL BE A DIRECTOR OF THE MOVIE, along with someone else, but still, she'll have it her way. She didn't want to make the movie unless she could be a director of the movie as well, because she didn't want the movie to be messed up. Or so I've read on her wed site.
