Story ~
"We've got spirit, yes we do! We've got spirit, how about you?!"
It matters not that every time we scream this in the stands at the football games we are so much louder than any other band. The spirit shines through at the competitions. Every year, we are beaten out by the Tullahoma High School Band. What makes matters worse, we celebrate when we get a good score...they, on the other hand, don't...they just stand there at attention as if to say, "We are above you in every way." Well, I guess Mr. Isbell finally had enough of it.

One day, about a week after our first competition of the current year, he called all the first chair players to his office. After we got in, he told his assistant/wife to get "The Book." Mrs. Isbell comes back out of the storage closet with a dust covered book. Taking it, Mr. I blows the dust from the old thing, and opens it. Flipping through the pages, he stops. Showing us the book, we see an etching of an elegant and beautiful horn...
"Gabriel's Horn. He who possesses this instrument possesses the ultimate embodiment of Band Spirit."
As Mr. I read this to us, we all stared at the book. There was something about it...that horn...we observed just the picture in awe...Then he handed the book to me.
"I'm trusting you. You are my top players. And you, as the first trumpet, are the voice of my band. I want you to lead the rest of the firsts and find Gabriel's Horn."

Personality - A pretty laid back, guy. Loves to goof off, but will get serious when it's go time. Some say he's a natural leader, but he doesn't really think so. He is one to give advice when needed, and he's almost always a dry shoulder when someone needs to cry...
Bio - Never one of the popular guys, Luke's always followed his own path. Being in the Band and the Show Choir at FCHS, his life's pretty much centered around music and rhythm. His carefree attitude is newly found, so to some he's a bit different. After a few too many failed relationships, and a few people telling him how much of a bad person he was, he decided to change. He threw away his past, learned everything he could from it, and started new..."seeign with eyes unclouded by hate" as he said. (He got the idea from a movie. You probably know the one.) He is now simply concentrated on living...relationships are far from him at the moment (though flirting is not above him)

Personality - Quiet, delicate and gentle, Ella always feels a little out of place. She is somewhat clumsy with her feet when she is nervous, but when she is playing her . Though very friendly if you talk to her, she takes a bit of time to warm up to a new face, and because of that, not many seem to take much notice of her. However she quietly adds to the atmosphere in her own way.
Bio - Ella was always branded the quiet, quirky nerdy girl with a few close friends. She had a falling out with her best friend in her third year of high school and since then reveals little about herself. If people took the time to get to know her, they would find that she was someone very caring and giving, and once she gets to know someone, she is quite sociable.

Nah, just playing. I use to play trumpet in band. Could have been first, but was too lazy to challange the first trumpet, which I can explain later if needed. Alas, my rival trumpeteer has taken thy position. I only played for two years though, so it's no biggie. >.> ))

Personality - A lazy, laid back, yet rather playful young man. Steve's attitude tends to bound back and forth depending on the situation. In class he's rather drousy and lifeless, sleeping through many of the periods. At other times, such as with friends or at parties, he's quite the opposite. Always joking around and goofing off in his own original laid back way.
Bio - Steve always had a thing for music of any type. Be it rock to classic, he enjoyed listening to it. Even band music grabbed his attention, but he had a good reputation at the school and didn't want to ruin it by joining the band. Out of some freak accident, his parents took his CD's away from him, his Ipod was in his pocket as he went into a pool, and the lead guitar of his favorite band died from drug overdose all on the same day. Desperate for some music, he reluctantly joined band. He tried every single instrument and failed horribly at each catagorey. Rhythm, sharps, flats; He couldn't do any of them. Eventually, the instructor insisted percussion. Didn't work either. So, he gave up band and lived on without music for several weeks. It happened when he was walking down the street, spinning and long wooden pole that he had found on his way. Even though it was absent-mindedly, he was very good. He spun in around his wrist, between his fingers which took some great deal of strength, and even threw it into the air, catching it without even thinking only to have it continue on spinning. Somehow, the instructor was driving down that very street and saw this event. Instantly, he knew that he would be spinning flags for the marching band.
