My horse's name is Opa. Which means grandpa is german. We rescued him in December from these people who abused him. His "home" was a huge mud pit with tarp covering. He was surrounded with a hot fence. He never ws fed. We took him away as an early christmas gift on December 5th because he had two dys left before being put down. Now he lives in a barn with 2 geldings and 6 mares. The mares were in season and we decided to put him out with the mares. (He is a gelding so nothing to worry about for us) Here is this 20 year old horse with 6 mares in heat. He controls them and leads them. He gets on one, then hops down spins around in a circle about 5-6 times and gets on another. He acts like a 3 year old on the inside but really is pretty old. He is the stud of the barn. I am going riding tomorrow and see how he would react to a trash can. The only reason in doing this is because I went riding with my mom by a John Deer Compny with all of the tractors. Opa starts neighing very loud to them and trying to pull his way over to them. I cn't wait to see his reaction.

I hate people like that having a horse live in a bad area along with no food! it just sickens me a lot that I wish I can teach them jerks a lesson for neglecting and abusing an innocent horse like that! Anyway I'm so glad you guys saved him before he was put down and ooooooo for a 20 year old horse he sure has it made being with that many Mares though he's Gelded, haha how cute and funny of Opa, haha a lot of old horses act younger again and react to a trash can? I see and I'm glad you're going riding tomorrow have fun and ooooo a John Deer Company cool!!!^^ really? does he neigh loud at them cuz he's afraid of the loud noise? anyway what breed is he? Warmblood or something else?

He is a quarter horse and also mixed in with appaloosa. He is so cute. The reason he was neighing at the tractors was because he is attracted to things either bigger than him or the same size. Well also mres that are in season. I am also glad we gave him a 2nd real chance to let him live his last couple years

Well, he's on the older side but he's not too old yet. I think it'd be great to see him live a nice retirment (or getting close to it) and then live out a nice old age -nod-
