With Sasuke training finally over or as Sasuke thinks he decides to kill Orochimaru and leave yet in the process Orochimaru's true self is shown and it reaches the day of the soul transfer ritual which Orochimaru has executed on an Uchiha when in the Akatsuki on the Uchiha, Uchiha Itachi in the process failing due to the Sharingan. Sasuke then emerges from the room... But as who?

'Orochimaru & Sasuke - One has disappeared forever, One remains alive. But which one is in that body now?'

I would probally say it is Sasuke since he of course has the Sharingan but not just because of that also because if Sasuke wants to beat Itachi he says his training is done if he is right then he would kill Orochimaru but if its not and he was wrong then it would be all over for Sasuke but it is definatly Sasuke or else I will start sending threat notes to Masashi Kishimoto -.-.

They could both be int here battling for control...but if it were just one of them It would probably be Sasuke. Oro did have a flashback after all and you know what happens when villains get flashbacks.

On a side note: This whole thing is really starting to creep me out on a whole new level. burning_eyes

Umm...I hate both of them, but I'm hoping that Sasuke wins.

*gasp* That is so cruel!!!! Sasuke doesn't deserve to die!!! It was Orochimaru and Itachi's fault! They made him do things he shouldn't have done! Sure he nearly killed Naruto and he broke Sakura's heart but they still love him! If he dies the so will they! crying crying crying (mentally)

I hope it's Sasuke! I don't really like Orochimaru. ninja But I think if one dies the whole thing seemed...anticlimactic

sasuke has the sharingan.... wonder why oro couldnt defeat itachi.... exactly that reason! because of the sharingan... oro probubly started the ritual but then sasuke used his sharingan and reversed it! and if it were oro he would have a freakish toung and he would be smiling!

The thing is, with Orochimaru in the mix the plot was a Mexican standoff between Oro's group, akatsuki and Konoha. It seemed that everyone was waiting for someone else to make a move so they can move in and attack when the other two have their backs turned.

It was kind of arbitrary as to whether or not Oro wanted to take out akatsuki. We know he hated them and left because as Sasuke put it he "couldn't handle Itachi" But we don't know what his immediate plans were after gaining the sharningan. Now that he's gone it throws off the whole Mexican standoff thing. Since Sasuke's sole mission is to kill Itachi and really doesn't give a damn about anyone else, it seems now that Sasuke has become that third party. He did a favor for konoha by getting rid of Oro and is about to do another by going after akatsuki.

Kishimoto really is unpredictable. First he had a main character go over the to dark side (no star wars pun intended) then he's killing off the 'main villain' of the series. So perhaps Oro wasn't the main villian after all. We still don't know how the akatsuki leader fits into all of this. And now he's also adding a new character, with characters still to be introduced in akatsuki, on top of that there are still a whole load of things we don't know about characters who have been there from the start *coughnarutocough* My bet is that this thing is going to go on for at least 20 more volumes between all the revelations and fights and the resolution.

This is just too much to think about. But I must admit, there really will never be a better time go get into Naruto. I mean once the series ends (I know sad and scary thought) we won't be able to have all these off the wall discussions and guessing games. I think half of the appeal of the series is the whole 'what next' factor.
