Damaged Faith Signal

Turn me inside out
Tell me it's not real
Make me scream and shout

I'm about to die
Ripped apart inside
Tears fall yet I'm dry

I'm not a fool
The world's screwed

Something to be used

Fighting sacrifice

But I'm just ice
Dampening desire

Stay away

Save the day
Ease my fear

Damaged faith
Fate of love
Below is safe
But we're above

What does this mean?
Should I laugh or scream?
Have faith though fate's unseen...
It's all a dream

(A lovely dream)
With nightmare's kiss
Eternal scream
Or passing bliss?

This was written for a friend of mine when she kept saying she felt 'inside out'...it inspired me. Oh, and this one is more of a song than a poem...but that's ok.

I really like this Hermes. I agree, it is more song like, I can almost hear music as I read it. And that's a wonderful thing. Some written things just have that extra melody to it, and this is one of them.

I want to see more Hermes work! =D
