Caelan's eyes narrowed slightly, but he showed no other outward display of annoyance. He watched Agni's movements carefully, as Aruna was circled, but knew he couldn't do much about it. Even with Ki's potential help, picking a fight with Agni would be a terrible idea. Besides, it was no big deal. Yet.
With a controlled, yet cold voice, Caelan replied with a short, "Yes." He took only a moment to glance at Ki, wondering if he would step in. Well, the short warning was good enough, given the situation. He went back to watching Agni, in case the hot-tempered 'Daeva did something.
So it was Agni. The brother Ki had warned her the most about. Aruna could see why now, too. She had to -- almost literally -- hold her tongue at his comments. A glance at Caelan informed her of how tense he was in the situation. He was a very protective older brother, even if they hadn't seen each other in years. He reminded her of Uncle Kyou, except Caelan probably had a little more tact.
Hence why Caelan refused to speak much to Agni, even in her defense. Her safety was much more important to him than her dignity, and reasonably so. Aruna agreed. But when she finally saw Ki reappear from the fog-covered area by the lake, she felt safer. Even with Agni circling her.
"So you're Agni," Aruna said, examining the other 'Daeva as he examined her. "... Interesting." She said nothing more, allowing him to interpret what he wanted to from that statement. From the corner of her eye, she say Caelan's glare momentarily direct itself at her.

Hmm.
Chocolate cake. n.n Spice cake, too, maybe, I haven't had that in a long time. Croissants with strawberry preserves are very good, too.

Toasties... Aaahhhh... *drools* Gotta have toasties with ham/bacon, toasties with sausage, toasties with mushroom, with ketchup, with tomato, with onion, with tuna, with sweetcorn and with any combination of the above. mad d
As for sweet treats... Various flavours of cheesecake (my personal favourites are lemon, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, chocolate and toffee), pies with lots of different fillings (apple, summer fruits, forest fruits, lemon), and many different kinds of cake (black forest gateau, triple chocolate gateau, strawberry gateau, carrot cake, coffee cake, angel layer cake, bakewell tart, half-moon cake, marble cake, lemon drizzle cake, Viennese whirls...). Oh, and some strudel. And flapjacks. And scones with jam and clotted cream! Just open a damn bakery out back! I demand it! domokun

i made some chocolate/banana/coconut muffins last weekend, they were rather good, theye were only meant to be banana, but i chucked a few more things in to see how they'd turn out lol
anyway carbs are good in moderation! my muffins are 100% wholewheat flour, fresh fruit, hardly any fat or sugar, they're practically health food ninja honest! cool
i think my next batch will have raspberries in, i've not tried that yet, and i have some in the freezer.. domokun
