Recently, I was listening to the radio and a story about the plague in Dark Age England. I was amazed to find out that the peasents hitting cats against things (like in the movie) was actually common practice! The peasants belived cats, especially black cats, carried the plague and did anything they could to kill them. Obviously, this led to a surge of rats that carried plague; making the situation much worse stare

The movie also got the legeng about Excalibur right unlike most other movies. These guys really did their research.
