Good to have an active person join our active guild. It has been mournful to see the other guilds in disarray, not providing such experiances. I hope you will have an enjoyable and productive stay. smile

Mac runs on linux based systems! look, a gleeful fortuneteller!
(er... happy medium, whatever.)

Its the other way around. Linux Runs on Mac Systems. Linux is the first stable and relyable OS i have seen. And one that allows users to actually write programs that will run on it and actually be high end programs.

I just need to get a DVD burner so i can DL and install Fedora 7 Beta

My hubby is a computer programmer, designer, etc., and adores Linux, the least reason of which is the operating system is Free! No having to pay for it like you do for windows. Windows however is the operating system for which most programs are written. And he manages to run both together on one computer which he built himself. I'm gathering from those I've mentioned this to that's rather uncommon.

And, that's all I know. I also know I don't know enough to run Linux myself so I stick with windows like most of the world.

Running both is not uncommon for those who play videogames. Oy yeah, and this thread is warning for the junkheap if it doesn't perk up again. (It was good while it lasted).
