Story and plot by Kim (condensed by myself sweatdrop sweatdrop )
The year 2500: an age where humanity live sheltered in cities, protected from their own mistakes. These monsters were created centuries ago in genetic experiments, but what the scientists were trying to achieve is still a mystery. When the power source of the cities' shields; a collection of crystals, fail, several of the smaller settlements are destroyed by the ravenous monsters.
When this happens the world council meet and agree that a new power source must be found in the wastelands of the old world. To accomplish this, twelve teams of six are dispatched (consisting of army soldiers and volunteers). Their mission: to discover a new power source, or a way to return the crystals' power. The rp will begin with the characters gathering on the island where the meeting is held, said island is located just off the northen cost of Africa.
Rules of RP:
(Just one team of six allowed)
No guns Robots exist (but without A.I.) Half breeds exist (due to gene splicing technology) Standard sci-fi technology (such as flying cars and airships)
Bio (send them me via pm) Name: Age: Weapon: (one weapon) Magic/special abilites: (maximum of two, one major and one minor) Appearence: Bio: Extra information:

Bio: She volunteered as a youngling to enter an genetic experiment, when the technology was new. Her genes were successfully spliced with a lizard giving her the reflexes and camouflage she has now. Her family were traditionalists and considered her transformation an abomination, although not an outcast, she is considered unwelcome.
Extra information: Has a long-term ambition of becoming a doctor, after witnessing the potential that science, and medicine especially, has for the future. Never the less, she has become accustomed to the idea of being "abnormal," and makes up for it with her feirce loyalty, devotion and kindness.

Kimiko stepped off of the shuttle that had taken her from "Neo Tokyo" to the small island. She examined her surroundings a then her style of dress "Good thing I chose to wear thise instead of robes" she muttered stepping away from the shuttle door. She wondered the streets of the rather small surrounding town. Kimiko soon found her self lost and she took a seat on a nearby bench, examinign the map she carried in her jacket pocket.

Neth sat aboard a large tram that was going threw Neo Tokyo. How he hated riding with people that once might have looked at him in a side show as a freak for his powers. He kept his robe tight angaist his body feeling almost all alone. He road the tram threw to where it would drop off people at the small port where he would find a way to the island. He wished that this tram would move faster. It kept at it's speed for what semed to Neth like hours. He finally got off and sped to get to the port.

Soirka breathed deeply as she stepped off the shuttle, she hated those tiny spaces but she knew she must get used to it for she would soon be in the skies on an airship. She couldn't wait and wished she could hurry up all the introductions and pompus meetings. There was a welcome feast that evening for the crews of all the ships, from now on Earth's fate rested on there shoulders.
If only she'd been warned before, she sighed, she wasn't dressed in finery... casually ripped jeans, a loose white vest top and her leather jacket wouldn't go down well. She wondered who her captain was, after all her limited engineering skills would keep her confined to the machinery.

She spent some time examining the map and eventually located her destination "So I just need to go a quarter of a mile or so south " she muttered this before standing. Kimiko wondered in that general direciton and eventually found the hall "I guess this is it" she muttered entering the building swiftly.

Soirka stepped into the room and hung the beaten messanger bag on a peg nearby. She headed over to the buffet and helped herself to a glass of red wine. She then turned and leaned against the wall and surveyed the people around her.

Neth walked onto the island. He grunted a bit at the guards as he past them. He began to float along after that. His sword seemed not to effect how he floated. He made it to the front gate.

Kimiko entered the building and found that most people were either in uniform for work or clothes for a party. She raised her eyebrow having not known that such a thing would be taking place that night, she entered the main room and felt some embarrestment seemingly she was the only one not dressed for such an event. (She hasn't spoted Soirka.)

Alora stepped off the streamlined space-craft that had carried her for what had seemed like years. She was carefully avoiding the puddles that littered the port, she didn't want to ruin her best clothes after all that travelling. She quickly surveyed the area, and pulled out a small electronic notebook in order to check her location. Realising she had yet another transport to pick up ...and that she was going to be late, Alora picked up speed, her clawed feet clicking on the grey cobblestones of the streets.
Eventually she arrived at the shuttle that would send her direct to the island....and saw it pull away:
"Oh for f.." she began to curse...but she was cut off by the wooshing of air past her ears as the shuttle left the station.
( by the way is the shuttle above land or beneath the ocean?)

(I think above the land)
soirka turned and saw an oddly dressed, blue-haired woman looking lost in the crowd. She walked over to the buffet table, grabbed two glasses of chilled white wine and aproached her. "here for the mission?" she asked as she held out the glass. She'd never done anything like this before, but she knew she'd have to make friends for them to get through this. "what ship are you on? the list is on the wall." she announced.

Neth laughed a bit as he walked up to the buffet table. "I think everyone here is here for the mission," he looked over the table, but took nothing.

Soirka smiled slightly at the wierd looking fellow but she felt comfortable and replied "true, true. I wonder where they'll send us first... I just want to get going!" she cried with a happy bounce, which in turn caused the white wine to spill all over her hands. She turned back to the girl she'd first addressed "oops sorry, me being clumsy again," she apologized and headed to the buffet table to get some tissues.

Alora watched the azure sea flash by from the transparent capsule that was hurtling towards her destination. These capsule-transports really were a feet of engineering, suspended on a network of rails, many meters high, completely white and areodyamic. It very much resembled an old 21st century monorail in its design. At the moment the weather was fine and the sun's light was filtering through the clouds as Alora reached her destination.
She stepped off the transport...and it began to rain.

"Yes. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Neth," Neth said without a single sign of what could be a smile under his long robe. "I can not wait to get out of large crowds."
