I really don't have much time right now, but I will put a few tips. I haven't read your story because I wouldn't understand it. I have never watched one Naruto show ever. So right now I'm just giving general tips.

Try and run your story through a spelling and grammar check before submiting it.
Make the character seem real. Give it a face and body, a personality / idenity, facial expressions / body language, a voice, clothes , and a name.
Give your story a good title. The title is what draws people in to the story.
If you are going to put romance in it, wait ten chapters. Unless you want your character to be considered a certain type of person.

-I really can't stress characterization enough. People love to see realistic characters that are easy to love/hate/relate to. I create a certain mood I want that character to create in the reader and come up with ways to do so.

-Long, long, chapters really turn people off. Especially just lumping a huge story into one post. It tends to be a lot easier to read when you break it up into smaller hunks.

-Fan fics can be tricky. I've never written one (I like being original) but I suppose it would be best to have a bit of an obsession with the show, character, etc. This way, it should be easier to know what kind of things fit and what kind of things seem out of place.

-I agree with Jennie on the whole 'wait ten chapters thing'. Unless of course, it's just a romance one-shot. Then you can go straight into it.

-I tend to like humor. Though, stupid jokes are a no-no. And most awkward, perverted scenes aren't that humorous. (Though, I've been known to get away with it.) My tip for humor; always have a punchline:

Example: Belac came running into his room to find Lehcar talking to Katie. He was relieved he had finally found Lehcar. He was gasping for breath from the mere exhaustion of all the searching.

"Lehcar," he gasped, "It's about...about..." the more he thought about it, the more he went into hysterics, "About Lerret and Alegna. They're on..." he gasped for breath.

"Yes?" Lehcar said, now worried, "Where are they?" she urged him to continue.

"Lerret's bed," he sobbed, "And they're...it's horrible..." he could barely contain himself, "They're...reading poetry!" he finally screamed out.

^nice joke
I agree with lecar about the long chapters thing. I read a lot of fanfiction, and if the fanfic is one or two chapters long and has 30,000 words in it, I don't read it. Unless it sounds really good, then I might give it a shot.

o.O' I disagree. I honestly prefer longer chapters over shorter ones.

Really? I don't. If you like long chapters, then the latest chapter of Harte is long (for me) *wink wink nudge nudge*

If it's a reasonable length I'll read it. just not if it's ridiculasly long.

let me just say in response to jennie and BVG,
Im a lit nut...meaning i read too much for my own good....if the topic is good then i will tend to want to read it over and over again also.....

in response to DSU's request for help,

ill tell you something different than most people will....

one of THE most important things to remember is your audience...if you are writing for a specific audience the try to appeal to their greater interest.... 3nodding

if you have any questions pm me for other suggestions....im not a big story writer but lit in general is my forte and i tend to excel there above all other things... biggrin

instead of using a 1st or 3rd person approach, try using an omniscient narrator.

btw, omniescent means all knowing.

this way you are able to tell the reader the thoughts of your characters without it making your character able to read minds. You can also use this to impose a cartain type of dread or impending doom without having to outright tell the reader that your character is about to die.
