Gackt was my major introduction to Japanese music outside of anime songs. I've been a fan for about five years, I think, and he's still one of my favorite artists out there on the music scene.

It's somewhat funny how this interest started. I took one of those quizzes online that went something like "What J-rocker are you?" Gackt was my result from that quiz. My girl friend let me listen to some of his softer songs and I was hooked from that moment on.

So are there any other fans lurking around? How did you become interested in his music?

GACKT is awesome, I loved his song 'Last Song'.

He's also a great actor.

My introduction to gackt was from a fansite of him and TM Revolution, whom my friend had introduced me to. After I saw gackt and tmr together on a few sites, i started to get curious about gackt. and one of the first videos i saw was the live of vanilla -_- (not that it's bad, exactly...)

he's currently one of my favorite singers cuz he has such an amazing voice!

He's good. I find him kinda spooky though.. ninja

I like him from malice mizer and the movie moon child.

moon child was pretty good, but there were some really random scenes in there, and it was a little too dramatic for my taste... still, that was my introduction to hyde, which in turn led me to explore many other japanese artists (as well as some chinese/taiwanese), so i'm grateful for that.
