I live in Georgia, and it isn't very open-minded at all.
=/
Most of the kids at our school are total gay-bashers. There's a
lot of gang stuff at our school, too, so not many people want to
be open with their sexuality for fear of being, well, attacked.
o__O
It's horrible.
I can't wait to get out of high school, and Georgia in general.
I want to move to the city.
xD
So... what about your school? Any better than mine, any worse?

I'm lucky. My school is a lot more open-minded, living in California. There are some homophobics, but my friends and I ignore them. My school even has a Gay Straight Alliance. It's fairly small in comparison to other clubs, though.

My school also has a GSA. I'm not sure how many people are in it though. I would so go to meetings but, I hav no idea what room it is in, or how to find out. Lol. But I don't really have any gay friends at school, that can tell me about how they are responded to. I mean, I would love to support them, but if people are going to catergorize me for going there, I don't think I would. I mean, I don't want to be a freshman being segregated againts for supporting gays.

But I understand what you mean.
Anyway, I know a LOT of gays/bis/etc, but it's kind of a "Only My
Friends Know" kind of thing, due to the stupid homophobes at our school.
And we actually don't have a GSA thing at our school.
If we made one, the members would probably be hazed or something.
D;
Oh, well. I thin I might get together with my friends and start one anyway.

I'm frighteningly lucky. My school has a GSA of about 100 members. We hold fundraisers for the school sex ed program around world AIDS day, and put up Day of Silence posters every April.
Only on person has ever called me a f*****t and meant it in meanness. He's not very well liked at our school, though. I've met a handful of homophobes at our school, but they tend to keep to themselves. There's a Christian activist group here that likes to get mad and deface our posters, but their captain got suspended for doing just that, and since then we haven't had a problem.
We're pretty well loved at our school; it helps that one of the superintendents in charge of admissions and placement is a Lesbian.

they're coming for you........ uhh.......i don't know. Our school is like, kinda weird. I don't know. We don't have AIDS awarness programs or stuff like that, nope, just a normal dumb school. ......oh wait, they are coming after me.

I go to an all girls catholic school. . . it's not a good idea to let anyone know you're a lesbian but I'm Bi so they don't care as much. . . . how wrong is that?
