I haven't had a lesson for a while because my mom has been gone and she likes to watch my lessons so that she can help me when I practice. the last lesson I had...We were working on my seat in the canter and getting hm round in the canter while maintaining my seat hands and all that jazz...

Just letting you know that depending on how slow/fast you advance it could take a long time 3nodding

I find that jumping is placed on students far too early, resulting in accidents and terrible form. At some barns I've been at, the kid is started over crossrails as soon as they have been cantering for a few weeks. Sadly, the barn I teach at has also fallen into that rut of jumping kids too early, but to compensate I do as many prep exercises as I can and keep the jumps looow.

I started jumping my second year of riding. I moved to a really good and well known jumper barn and I used to have good jumper form (not so much anymore since I don't jump anymore) I was started at jumping when I was 7 and my mom nearly had a freak attack. But it was all good and I think that everyone falls off when jumping. I know that I've had some pretty interesting jumper falls (i.e. landing on the rails one too many times)
