Flame peaked into the shop, she tugged at her new dress a little worried. She had stoped comming to the store and now she felt slightly ashamed but when the owner disapeared...she just well lost intrests.
Flame reached up to pet Skyfire, she did still take care of her fen but now she had a few new pets. Flame smiled down to the plush colt in her hand, she hoped to help sell the others here. Naolin was a wonderful pet and Skyfire really helped with her. Her other pet she left at home. She figured she should leave Korbin in his warmer till he hatched. Flame hoped she would be there when he did. Nightstar slept on her shoulder but Skyfire was wide awake, looking around everywhere.

As is becoming slightly more common now, D-chan lounges on the sofa in the shop, dozing a bit while pretending to plot whatever random story is being transcribed into the notebook sitting beneath her hand. Koe perches atop her head, all attention focused on Kaju, who has nestled her way into the fox-girl's hair as she listens intently to the story her friend relates. Though some of it is incomprehensible to her, she certainly tries her best to make sense of what he says...and he helps by explaining some of the more complicated parts, which helps out more than her own childish efforts.
Somewhere nearby, Hoshi is once again stalking the water demon, feathers fluffed and beak wide as she hisses a challenge to the formless puddle of water. In retaliation, the water rises up in a wave and shoots off a slender jet at her talons, causing the nightmare sparieh to jump back in shock and fright, loathe as she is to admit it. The puddle gurgles a laugh as it settles back to wait for the sparieh's next assault.
Sherbert, meanwhile, has taken roost in one of the plush chairs along with her new friend, the angelic kitsune Kurayami, and the newest egg in the family. Both stare in awe at the incredibly light yet durable egg, occasionally poking at it to see if it will do anything...which, of course, it doesn't. But that doesn't stop either one.
But one member of the family is conspicuously missing from the huddle...well, technically two, if you count Kaen. But where is Kurenai?

Flame looked around the shop and smiled at all the different pets. "Did I enter the shop or a zoo?" she spoke allowed. She glanced a little wearly at the water, her tail twitching a bit. She was after all, part cat and if her name was any indication...she wasn't a large fan of water.
"Skyfire?" she turned to her first pet. Sky perked up instently, "Will you show Naolin around? Make sure she dosen't get into too much trouble?" Flame glanced down at Naolin. She was a little bunddle of energy and lacked all sense of the word fear. She would run right up to one of these pets and while Flame trusted who ever owned them to keep them well trained it till wouldn't hurt for Naolin to have a little protection.
"Sure Flame" Sky said with a small smile. She gave Flame a quick kiss and spread her wings. She lept off Flame's shoulder as her wings began to buzz. She flew down to Naolin as Flame lowered her to the ground. Sky prefered flying to walking, even when close to the ground. From her childhood days. Now she buzzed close to the ground as she lead Naolin around.
Naolin looked around in wonder at this new place. Skyfire always did speak of the shop was this large place. She queeled in pony plush, "Nuuu" she said, which no one but other ponies could understand. Naolin though was praticing, Sky was helping. Naolin wanted to surprise Flame. She almost had her name down.
Flame smiled at her two pets and softly petted Nightstar, who was still sleeping on her shoulder. She looked around for another person and grined when saw D-chan.
"D-chan" she calle dout to her old room mate.

D-chan's ears perk at the sound of her name. Blinking rapidly to wake herself up, one black-furred hand rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she glances toward the new arrival at the shop.
A bright smile breaks across her face. "Flame!" she squeaks, bouncing up and abandoning both pen and notebook on the couch as she skitters to a stop before her old friend. "It's been ages!! How have you been?"
Koe squeaks and huddles down with Kaju at the sudden motions, and as the fox-girl comes to a stop he gently ushers the bunny fenthry under his care into the relative hidden safety of D-chan's shoulder, where her hair hangs like a curtain to ward off intruders.
...well, most intruders.
Hoshi's attention does not stray from her mortal enemy until Skyfire and Naolin come to ground level. Her head cocks to the side, allowing her to watch both the new arrivals and the living puddle, her feathers still fluffed out magnificently but her hissing now silenced. Another fenthry. And a toy horse. Like those little velveteens that D-chan loved so very much.
Better than the winged rat, at least.
Sherbert and Kura, too, looked up at the new arrivals, their attentions wrenched away from Chevyo for a moment. While the little striped sparieh simply looks on with curiosity, the unnatural intelligence hidden behind Kurayami's eyes flares to life. New people...and fenthries. What is it with the fenthries!? They're everywhere. But they're much nicer than a plague, at least. Shrugging to herself, the night-patterned kitsune pokes at the brown and white egg once again, twittering softly to herself as Sherbert joins the playful fray.
From a nearby bookshelf, a tiny face peeks out, cool blue eyes watching the scene with unconcerned calculation. Close behind him are two more tiny figures, sound asleep. Grei looks back at them, sighing to himself. No need to wake them for something as trivial as another meeting...

Flame grined brightlyat her old room mate, looking her over. She looked just the same. Flame plucked at her new hair doo. She grew out her hair again, this time though in a new style with a new color. Her clothes were different too. She got lucky with gold since she left the Fenthry shop.
"I've been doing great! I got a few new pets but..." Flame trailed off and looked around at the 'zoo', "So did you. Korbin isn't here right now, besides he's just an egg but you can meet Naolin if you want. She just loves attention. She's my little ham" Flame laughed with love as she looked over to her new pet and first pet.
Naolin had noticed when all the attention from the pets turned from each other to her and Skyfire. She lifted her head and shook her main out.
"Nuuu" she called out in greating and trotted forward to the nearest pet. Hoshi. The speaith was still really fluffed out but Naolin thought she was always like that. She smiled at it and shook her mane again.
"Nuu" she said simply and tossed her head back in greating.
Skyfire fallowed Naolin, not wanted to let her get stained or torn. Naolin couldn't really get hurt. She didn't have any nerves or anything like that. Just like Naolin couldn't get tired ethir. She just slept when ever she wanted to sleep. Still she had a light yellow cout that could stain easily. The sometimes vain Naolin would hate to be stained. So Skyfire kept an eye on that puddle.
"She said 'hi'" Skyfire translated, "I can't really understand her but I normally get what she means. I'm her offical translater. This is Naolin and my name is Skyfire. Our owner is Flamefire. She's great. What's your name? Who owns you?"

"Well, you certainly look like you've been doing well," the half-fox chuckles. "And...well, yeah, I have a few new additions," she snickers. "Most of them are small, though the spariehs are going to wind up taking up more room than I care to think about...I have three of them now, if you can believe that," she laughs. "Kaen's gotten so big that he can't come anymore!"
Curious, the half-fox looks over at the plush pony wandering toward Hoshi. She pales a bit at the sight. "Uh-oh...bad choice of first acquiantance," she mutters. "Let's hope Hoshi's feeling generous today..."
As the moving plush and the other fenthry wander away, Sherbert's attention wanes. If they're not going to pay attention to her, she need not pay attention to them, right? Instead, her eyes dart back to Kura, who has flopped atop the egg and now gently tries to scratch at the raised gold ornaments. The tiny sparieh nips curiously at them, her beak ineffectual.
Hoshi, on the other hand, breaks her attention from the water demon, which waits patiently for her to return, as it knows she will. She watches the fenthry and plush cautiously...and, upon Skyfire's rapidfire question, with distinct annoyance. She snaps something incomprehensible before turning her attention back to the puddle, her feathers laying back down as she bounces away from the newcomers and sails to a more private place to wage her war.
D-chan sighs. "She says that no one owns her, so bug off. Well, at least she didn't lash out...she doesn't take well to questions," the half-fox explains sheepishly. "Not at all."

Flame waved off her worries and apology. "Don't worry, Skyfire is use to anoying people with her questions. I still think she make a great reported. I got her this little outfit and everything" Flame laughed, "It's very cute on her but when she turned teen" Flame sighed but looked over at Skyfire, "Well you know. She grew up. At least Nightstars still young but..." Flame trailed off and glanced over at the sleeping Nightstar, "I've been worried about him. He's been sleeping more and more lately."
Naolin balked at the snap but she just grined and looked over for someone else to meet. Naolin walked over to the water and snifted but Skyfire pulled her back. Naolin pouted and then looked around for someone else to meet. Then she saw Sherbt. It was pretty. Naolin cantered over to Shertbert now.
"Nuu!" she said again.
Skyfire winced at the snapp as well, "I'm sorry for bothering you" she said with a slight bow and then buzzed over to pulled Naolin back from the watter.
"You don't want to get stained right. Also if you don't stain" Skyfire switched to the water, "sorry for insutling you but I don't want to risk it with Naolin. Come on Naolin lets meet someone else. Sorry for bothing you two" Skyfire waved at them but Naolin had already raced off. Skyfire sighed once and fallowed. She landed near the pony and other sperith.
"She siad hello" Skyfire translated.

D-chan sighed as Hoshi bounded away with her watery foe to some uncharted corner of the shop. "Annoying people doesn't cover it with Hoshi," she mutters. "That sparieh holds a grudge...well, usually. It's more like she doesn't forgive a first impression, really." Upon hearing about Nightstar, though, her ears flick forward and her green-gold eyes study the sleepy little fenthry on Flame's shoulder.
Koe, too, peeks out from behind D-chan's hair to investigate the new fenthry. Nothing seems to be wrong with him, besides the sleepiness...perhaps it's just that. Not enough sleep, staying up too late, something like that. Satisfied with his preliminary diagnosis, the pale blue fenthry darts back into hiding with Kaju.
Sherbert blinks a bit as the plush toy appears at the foot of the chair, 'nuu'ing up at her. She looks over at Kura, who shrugs calmly from where she lays atop Chevyo's egg. Curious, she wiggles to the edge of the cushion and peers down, chirping an incomprehensible reply down to both fenthry and pony.
The fox-girl chuckles a bit. "Sherbert's not the best speaker yet...she's still a little young for it. She probably said something to the effect of, 'hi, I'm Sherbert, who are you?'" She grins as the sparieh nods vigorously, almost falling off the chair in the process. "Guess I was right."

Flame didn't want to wake the fenthry, incase it was something like that. Maybe she should talk to Naolin, since the plushie didn't really need sleep she could stay up forever and not feel a thing. It could see if Nightstar was living up to his name. Would make sense of he went nocturnal. Flame sighed and petted the fenthry again.
Skyfire glanced over at D-chan, smiled and waved brightly at D-chan. She remembered D-chan, more childish memories then teen ones. Most teen memories were of being with Flame, moving around. She finally settled down resently, for the new pets. Flame had a small house, nto that she couldn't aford a bigger one but while they didn't really need the space It would depend on how big Korbin got. Naolin would stay small both Sky and Night weren't going to grow anymore so Flame didn't have to worry about them. Skyfire then turned back to the sparieh.
"My name is Skyfire and this is Naolin. Is D-chan your owner?" Skyfire asked egarly but managed to keep her question to one.
Naolin was facinated with the sprieh. Something about that coat attracted her. She carefully walked to the edge of the couch and then rose to her hind feet, trying hard to reach Sherbt. She just wanted to touch that coat once, just once...okay maybe twice.
"Nuuu" she wined, trying to get on the couch with Sherbt.

D-chan smiles in return and waves to Skyfire, watching fenthry and pony investigate sparieh, kitsune, and winged egg. And vice versa, of course. Her eyes dart toward the bookshelf where three huddled figures lay...two close together, one farther off and staring at her with calm blue eyes. A weak grin teases at her lips as she looks toward the two songfoxes and her eldest fenthry, removed from the rest of the action...and for good reason, she reminds herself gently...
Sherbert cocks her head a bit at the question. Owner? What's an owner? She looks back to Kura, who has perched atop the egg like a mother hen far too small to warm her single unhatched child. The kitsune shrugs a bit. She's lost as to the meaning of this 'owner' term, as well. Sherbert chirps her reply as she carefully bunches her legs beneath her and hops off the chair...
...only to land in a feathery heap as her claws once again fail to find the traction on the floor and instead splay out around her. Oops.
D-chan snickers. "She doesn't know what an owner is...I'm her guardian, as she knows it," the half-fox explains.
Sherbert nods in reply, looking between sky blue fenthry and mango pony to make sure they understand, as well. Words are often so fickle...it's hard to make things clear sometimes. Especially when you're a sparieh who can't speak English OR sparieh.

Flame smiled, "Skyfire calls me her owner and I think they all understand that I'm not trying to hold that over their head" Flame's tail twitched back, "After all as long as I love them who cares what they call me right?" Flame smiled over at D-chan, "Hey where are your fenthries? I know them" she said with a laugh.
Skyfire glanced over to D-chan and finally understood. Gaurdian, that's what she needed to ask. Oh good, she could do taht. Then people would understand. Skyfire glanced over at Naolin and then buzzed over to D-chan
"I'm watching her Flame" Skyfire said dutifuly and then looked back to D-chan, "ARe all these pet yours?" she asked amazed.
Naolin wasn't paying attnetion to any of them. She just watched at the sparieh tried to fly up and ended up tumbling on the floor. Unfamilier with pain she didn't even think that she might be hurt. All she saw was that the coat was closer. She pranced forward and nuzzled her face into the soft feathers.
"Nuuu" she said happily.

The half-fox nods. "Yeah, but I've never liked the term 'owner,'" she explains. "It's a little pet peeve of mine. I always thought it sounded...controlling when it came out of my mouth. So I call myself their guardian." D-chan grins at Skyfire and nods at her question. "Yep. Every last one of them," she chuckles. "Sherbert, Hoshi, Kura, Chevyo, Koe, Kaju, Kurenai, Danyeh, Grei, and Kaen. He's at home, though; Koe and Kaju are taking refuge right around here;" whereupon the half-fox lifts her hair to show off the pale blue fenthry and his tiny sakura-patterned charge before letting them have their privacy again, "Kurenai, Danyeh, and Grei are hiding off in the bookshelf. But please don't disturb them...Danyeh's had it rough lately, and Kurenai's not feeling well at all." The look of concern on her face gives away the fact that Kurenai's condition is more than just the common cold...
Sherbert holds very still as Naolin buries her face in the soft feathers of her side. This seems oddly familiar...like with that little tiger back at the Velveteen Toychest. Only she's not being poked and prodded and pushed around this time. Even so, natural defense mechanisms kick in unbidden and the little stripey sparieh puffs out like a massive feathered ball with talons and a beak. Under her feathers, her face reddens as D-chan tries to keep from laughing too hard.
From the bookshelf nearby, Grei sighs. Great, now their hiding place is out...he looks over at the sleeping forms of Danyeh and Kurenai. The ruby fenthry has become very thin in the past few days, which worries the songfox...but the fact that his own companion has been neglecting to care for himself as he tries to care for Kurenai is even more nerve wracking. The silver-winged songfox sighs as his white-tipped ears flatten against his head. Nothing to do about it now...just have to wait and see what happens.

Flame's tail twitched slightly giulty, "I never never thought of gaurdian, I really should have. I always kind of thought myself as a parents for Skyfire and Nightstar but Naolin is different. Since she's a plushie she reminds me of the ones I had as a child. I always...well felt like...well an almost god to them" Flame laughed slightly, "I did after all control their entire world. Only a lot more closer you know? I'm not sure what level I am to Naolin, that's for her to decied. In the end I'm all the same. Flame" Flame smiled at the end of her little speach and turned to watch Naolin now that Skyfire's attention was else where.
Skyfire was surprised, "Why do you have so many? How do you remember to feed them all? Do you ever wish that...you had more silence or something like not? Not that some of them were gone but that you could have a little time to your self" Then Skyfire hear about Kurenai, she remembered that fenthriy. They were room mates, age mates. "What's wrong with Kurenai?" she asked worried, even Flame had glanced back Sky noticed.
Naolin was iggorent to the troubles and personally she might not of cared. Oh sure if she saw Kurenai then she might but just hearing about it she would feel a flash of sarrow and then go right back to these feathers. They felt so nice. Naolin just had to nuzzle a bit deeper into the feathers. Which since they were all puffed out even better. She could hide in them now! What a great place to play.
"Nuuu" Naolin cooed to Shearbet. She just said, "I like you" in her pony plush.
