Is reality as real as everyone thinks it is, or is it just taken as the accepted norms set by society.

Of course reality is real. It is what you make of it. It is real to you and only you. No two people share the same reality while most have similar realities. At least, that's the way I see it, from my own reality.

It is... Doubtful that the 'reality' we are tutored to accept is real. Lack of evidence and all. Once again, I'm doubting that you all exist and that words I don't understand have no meaning until I learn them. Then again, the thought could be reversed for you- reading this. All this information is something you either consiously of sub-conciously knew and has been arisen from your mind in this post. You are, therefore, creator of Gaiaonline, even though you may not understand how, you do not need to. You only need know what you see.
Heh, well this is giving me a headache. Mull it over a bit.

reality.... is what you make it like amethyst said.... but there is more to it that just is. you can't always put your finger on it, or you're one of those people who are too spirtually blocked to feel the simple every day things around us. in the end though I think reality isn't real because if you want it to be about lords and ladys one day and then bigfoot the next, so be it but it's your own reality your own fictional story that you are passing off for fact when in life there are very few things that are solid facts.

I agree with Sin. A question I'd like to pass by you all is; can we change who we are? Are we one person one day, another the next? Do we forget what we were doing before now and inherit memories of the person who was us before us?

Ok so from what I'm taking of Wffle's question is that it's more of 2 questions in one....
1) can people change who they are 2) almost seems like is there reincarnation
I think that one change change parts of themself which they don't like or even parts that they do like for vairous reasons but to change the whole essence that makes you you? no I don't think so. Our "sprits" or "souls" are to a degree already mapped out who what and who we are. there is more to us then just this one life but we need to make the most of what we have now.

I mean... Body-wise. More like reincarnation, but without death and you'll have a new memory.
If we think about the debate over 'Nature VS. Nuture', if we had the same memory (nurture) we would react the same as who ever was their before.
This is as flimsy as the thought of the force-fed 'existence' with gaining a new memory- not really making much difference.
It's just a thought, and in this case the answer doesn't matter until we stop moving forwards, then we wouldn't spread the message anyway.

Well, that about sums it up. It is not the basis of my truth, just a mere thought.

That could be it... Speaking it reminds me of 'The Matrix', however I'm quite serious when something like that could be occuring. I'm not saying there's a big war and one must rise to save the world, just that a similar "idea" could just be what we call "reality".

Maybe it seems to make sense because it's instinct.
