Ren sighed quietly as she rested beneath a tree buried deep in the woods by the park. She was so sick of the hustle and bustle of school life… She couldn’t take people any longer. The teen reached into her pocket, taking out a lolly pop and quickly unwrapping it, sticking it in her mouth. Ren’s favorite… blue raspberry. It always made her tongue a color close to her hair. Her hair! She had finally been able to re-dye it. The tips faded into a turquoise color, the same as her eyes, and the bangs that framed the right side of her face were once again a bright magenta.
Ren closed her bright turquoise eyes, shifting the lolly in her mouth from one side to the other, swallowing the delicious flavor that came from the sweet. She had always been a sweet-tooth… She shook her head, trying to force out images of her mother’s smiling face, offering her open arms to jump into. Ren’s ears flattened back, the earrings that resided there jingling melodically. Once more, memories flooded back. She hated it… Hated not having a mother… Hated never have knowing who her father was.
She turned on her side, drawing her legs up to her chest, hugging them. Ren tucked her head down to rest it on her knees, her bright eyes closed tightly. All she needed right now was a friend. She knew she didn’t have many of those… the only people to even bother with her were Yuu-chan and Onni-san. Poor guys… Ren felt like such a burden on them. Even the boy she was tied to forever.

Yuuta slipped out of the school library and sighed. He hated studying. he never had time to be himself when he was there. Mind you, he wasn't leaving the library willingly. He had been kicked out. Jeez, the librarian was such a crab apple. She wouldn't even let Yuu throw books around for the sake of science. His uncle was going to be pissed when he heard about this...
Heaving a sigh, the young man raked a hand through his longish silver hair, ears flicking as he listened to the afternoon sounds. Right, his ears. The ones he hadn't managed to lose yet. Not even to the most promiscuous ladies in school. Bloody prudes. Yuuta pulled himself away from his thoughts and glanced down at his watch, spotting the time. 1:10. It was a while to the bell and now he had nothing to do which meant that Ren got to suffer his company for another day, the lucky gal.
Patting his pockets, Yuuta finally pulled the phone out of his tote bag and grinned. No missed calls which was to be expected. He had told Ren he was going to be busy and she didn't usually call when he was busy. As he walked, yuuta flipped open the phone and quickly dialed the number he knew off by heart, then pressed the phones to his ear.
Riiiing. Riiiing. The phone jangled in his ear. What on earth was that girl doing? He sighed. She probably wasn't even in school as she had a tendency to skip out on it. Great. Now he'd have to go and drag her back. Students milled around him as the phone continued to ring and Yuuta stopped, waiting for the familiar voice to answer her phone.

Ren flinched at the sound. It was so out of place in the quiet little area. She slowly turned over, jamming her hand into her backpack, fishing around for a moment, until she found the source of the sound. Ren brought to phone to where she could see it, finally opening her eyes to peek at the caller ID.
"Yuuuuuu- chaaaaan...." Ren's quiet voice held a whine as she held the phone to her ear, waiting for Yuuta to answer. It was just a bit hard to understand her with the sucker in her mouth. She reached up, rubbing her eyes a moment, before yawning. "What is it?" The girl managed to sit up, very unhappy at the spinning sensation in her head. Once more she reached up, this time to hold her head in her palm, looking down at the grass below her.
There was no one around... so it was safe for her to lounge about as she pleased. And that she did, sitting with her knees up, legs apart, letting the tomboy inside of her shine to the outside world.
Ren was wearing the usual school attire. She considered it a uniform if anything... A plaid pleated skirt rested about her waist, just low enough for her tail to be comfortable, long socks immediately covering the skin of her pale legs after just about an inch was seen, before they disappeared into a pair of high, black combat boots. They were un-laced as usual.
On her top she wore little more then a short-sleeved, white button down shirt and black tie, the tie untied and a few of the buttons undone. She looked like a bit of a wreck, if anything.

Yuuta felt giddy at the sound of his bonded's voice and he grinned into the phone, tossing his head as he made his way towards the school gate. Yes, he planned on finding Ren even if it meant he got kicked out as well.
"What is it? Well it just so happens that I cannot find someone. This someone happens to be very special to me." The word on his hip tingled and Yuuta shuddered softly, hoping it wasn't noticeable to the students around him. As he neared the gate, the students began to thin out. Most of the activity was in the school yard after all.
"And I was hoping to have lunch with this someone. I made it special and everything." Now Yuuta's tone became teasing. Perhaps he was more of a phone person then Ren? Then again, Ren never hesitated to pick up when it was Yuuta... Did she? Yuuta shoved the thought down and decided to ponder it later. He was sure the answer he would get would be a resounding 'No'. After waiting a few minutes, Yuuta sighed and stopped just outside the gate, a hand on his hip, subconsciously covering the word that lay there beneath the fabric of his school uniform.
The school uniform. Yuuta grimaced. When would they learn that plaid was definitely out? Hey, kids got beat up because of this uniform. It was plaid everything here though Yuuta couldn't argue with the skirts. The boys uniform was composed of plaid slacks, a button down white shirt, a sweater vest with the school crest and a plaid tie that tucked underneath said vest unless you had a suitable one to replace it... Which most of the school did. In this heat, Yuuta's button down shirt was switched from long sleeves to short sleeves. It was much better.
"... Something tells me that you aren't coming back just because iIm bribing you with food, are you?" Yuuta leaned back against the brick wall that surrounded the school and he glanced at one of the school girl's as she came back with a bunch of friends. "You know what? The girl uniform looks better and comfier then the boys. We should switch some time. Think we'd get in trouble?" Yuuta was amused and he was sure that most people would think he was kidding. Hopefully Ren would understand he wasn't. Yuuta was very serious about the plan, actually.

Ren laughed slightly, shaking her head. "Nope.. not even food can drag me back.. .but you can always come and find me. Nothing's ever stopped you before..." Ren smiled, listening to the boy talk. She loved the sound of his voice. It always made her so comfortable, despite the soft tingling feeling at her hip.
Ren couldn't help but laugh at the boy's remark, her brows raising slightly. "Get in trouble? I et they'd expell us!" She squealed, grinning into the phone. The girl leaned back against the tree again, the tip of her tail flicking back and forth in a manner as playful as Yuuta's voice. "Of course I'll trade... as long as you don't mind getting in my skirt..." Ren grinned, trying to hide a giggle as she spoke.
"And I get in your pants..." Ren trailed off, finally bursting out giggling, quickly putting a hand to her mouth to muffle the sounds. The recently turned 16 year old sophomore was just a tad immature when it came to such things. She always wanted to wait, despite Yuuta's hate for his own ears.
Then, in a more serious tone, "Oh! Speaking of such... Nii-san's gonna be gone for the weekend.... wanna come over? I miss having sleep overs with you..." Ren pouted, making a soft sniffling noise. It was obvious she was giving the phone the puppy pout. Even the inanimate object couldn't resist that face.-
