Alright, have fun with this one...
For the American release of Tsubasa, the voice actors are:
Sakura - Monica Rial
Syaoran - Jason Liebrecht
Kurogane - Chis Sabat
Fay Flourite (that's their decided spelling) - Vic Mignogna
Yuko Ichihara - Colleen Clinkenbeard (she's also the voice director so remember she's the one to kill if it sucks)
Mokona - Carrie Savage
(Links on the names will lead you to a list of previous voice acting jobs so you can get a sense of yourself if you're one of those people who just refers to voice actors by the name of the character they play in a certain series or whatever)
So, let the debating begin - can they pull it off or no?

Vic Mignogna is FAR from a super queer voice. Among the roles I know, Vic has played... Dark of DNAngel, Kurtz of Full Metal Panic, Ed Elric of Full Metal Alchemist, Kougaiji in Saiyuki (original not reload), and announcer guy in Angelic Layer.

I'm more than willing to say he has a uber gay voice *didn't like Dark's voice at all*

I'd also like to mention that with all his past rolls over the years, I pretty much trust Sabat to do anything but if he screws Kurogane's character up by say.... giving him a voice like Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho... I will get mad... very very mad.

Oh I'd also like to add - Jeid wanted Fai's voice to be John Burgmeier (probably spelled that wrong) the guy who did Shigure from Fruits Basket (sorry, that's the only role I remember him for). I don't think Burgmeier's voice is quite right for Fai but sadly, though I love Vic dearly, I have to say I think Burgmeier would do a better job. *prays she's wrong*

Now that I've looked at Syaoran's voice actor's list of previous jobs I'm a bit worried. He doesn't have much experience compared to the others and I don't recognize any of the roles he has played so I have no way of comforting myself.

I don't think i've ever heard any shows by Funimation so I can't really object to any of the voice actors.
Somehow I see this all going horribly bad with the good parts blurred out/cut out...I don't like dubs. sweatdrop
Thank god 4kids wasn't doing it...

Funimation is usually pretty decent about not cutting/editting scenes. Not all the voice actors work for Funi most of the time either. For example, pretty much everything I know Vic for was put out by ADV. *Vic obsessed*

If Vic does a crappy job, he's dead. ^_^ Still, I've heard that he can do lots of different things with his voice, so maybe...Well, when you close your eyes and listen to Vic sing, you can sort of imagine Fai singing. :sweaT: Chris, if he gets angrier, should do a decent job; I hope Jason doesn't make Syaoran sound like a 10 year old; I didn't get to hear Monica's voice or Carrie's voice; and Colleen bugs the hell out of me. Yuuko's voice is NOT that perky. gonk It needs to be deeper and, strangely enough to say, sexier. whee
Rawr. They always tend to cast these annoying voices for the female leads, and it's getting really old. Kagome, Cardcaptor-Sakura, and Orihime were horrid enough; don't kill TRC females too! gonk

I like Christopher Sabat but I can only see him doing Armstrong from FMA and Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho. XD I like both characters but he just doesn't seem he would fit Kurogane.

I didn't watch too much FMA and so I don't remember Huber from that but based on his Hiei voice I'd say he sounds too smooth and collected for a character like Kurogane. Maybe I'm dead wrong but still. (I did think of that possibility myself though a long time ago.)
