Well.. I have a horse. I got him when he was 1 and he had NO training what-so-ever. so I've trained him myself. it really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

Well, in essence you are 'training' a horse everytime you ride or work with him. The results arn't always positive though. sweatdrop
But yes, I do train horses. I don't train babies, as I'm not fond of young horses, but I train older ones. I'm currently working on basic bending and flexion with my mare, as well as strengthening the muscles in her back and topline, and also softening and getting more responsiveness out of some of the lesson horses at my barn though both riding and lunging.

I don't call myself a 'trainer' but more along the lines of experienced.
I have a 6 year old gelding who's green broke and I'm training him, so I guess in a way yeah I do. I don't run a business and get money but I don't mind helping some people out with their horses and I've worked many horses, young and old.

I prefer working with my own horses over someone elses, especially since its them who needs to be doing the work with the horse and not me, if I help them, I'm there showing or explaining something and showing them how apply it.
Riley is doing very well, we have some things to improve on but its good. I was working him over and around some obsticles today, just having him fallow behind me at a jog/trot over some small jumps and around obsticles. He did very well, he out-works me lol. I got some videos of me sending him around, but my camera died. I have to pick up batteries next time I go out.

Riley came in and streached his neck down and looked at me like "What are you doing down there?" then he started eatting my boots... lol he even started sniffin my face, and I kissed his nose.
I discovered, when he gets scared and wants to run... he runs to me. I walked off to get a lead rope and halter and he was slowly fallowing. Something outside made a loud BANG! and scared him, he jumped to the side and totted to where I was standing and shoved his head into me like "Mommy!!! Help, its going to try to eat me!" hehehe
How are you doing with your horse(s)?

I have always preffered children over foals. I don't know what it is, but I am not lured by the young horse's cuteness. They are all little devils in my opinion. Give me a human child any day. blaugh
