The lioness grumbled as she stumbled around, looking for proper hunting grounds. But for some reason all of the herds were long gone by the time she had gotten to any place that would have looked remotely like a great grazing spot. It was ridiculous. Why wasn't her son here helping her? She had supported him all this time, and he repaid her by running off with some female?
The grumble turned into a growl as her fur prickled at the thought. She had already scared away one female from her son by acting like a cannibal, but there was no telling whether or not Gharadi was running off to see her in secret. It wouldn't have surprised her, which really upset her to the max. It wasn't right, being so skeptical about her own flesh and blood, but ever since her mate had disappeared, she found herself questioning almost everything in her life.
Like.. why were the herds avoiding her? Why were other lions out to ruin her life? She growled louder, her tail flicking angrily.
"I'll show them," she said out loud, not really realizing she was doing so. "They'll all regret leaving me."
It was apparent something needed to happen in her life to get her mind off of things. And fast.
