Usually when I find a CD I want, I have to place an order
[or pre-order], pay a fortune for shipping, wait for the
eCheck to clear, wait for it to be shipped, and keep
calling my mom at home to see if anything came for me
in the mail from Japan. D:

But no, I got an English CD at one of the local malls! The
only waiting I had to do was on the bus! However, I'm way
too used to Japanese CDs. As I was taking the plastic wrap
off, the first thing I thought was: "Where the hell is the OBI!?"

They're not sashes, but a little thing folded along the side of
the CD that has the name of the artist, album, price, and all
that random stuff. OBIs are a good way to tell if an album
you bought is legit or not, since there's alot of bootleg stuff
going around.

My camera is broken [and back home], but I did manage to
find a really bad quality picture from back in July or something
that was suppose to show 2 of the photo cards that came with
one of my CDs [with Japanese CDs, especially first press editions,
you usually get extra stuff (: ] that the OBI for Digiryzm Mutation
happened to make it into.

It is the orange thing!

@ 50 Pence: I've never heard of Klaxons before. xP

EDIT:

I lied! O: I forgot that I came upon some of Gackt's crappy slow
singles, and took pictures of them to try and sell. They all have
the OBIs next to them:

I plan on buying some Japanese CDs. The only one I want at the moment is Art Of Life from X Japan, but I'm way too cheap to buy CDs at the moment.

The CD, or the DVD from the only time they played it live?

The only one of those that would be even half-expensive
is the DVD. The CD you can get VERY cheap, 299￥ - I
kid you not.

I'm not an X Japan fan, but I know they have a DVD from
the only time they played that live. I think it's only sale on
Amazon.co.jp for 3,160￥.

299￥is about 2.88$ Canadian [2.50$ American].
3,160￥is around 30$ Canadian [26$ American].

It doesn't matter how cheap someone is, 3$ for a CD is a good price.

However, shipping costs are another story.

I might go look for it at Kinokuniya the next time I go. $3 is way too affordable a price to buy a CD.

You just gave me an idea, Poké. I've been curious about getting myself some J-Rock, and I've been thinking that maybe the Mundo Vid store has some import CDs. So far, I've only seen an import album from Japan: "En vivo desde Japón" by AKWID, a Chicano Rap group.

But that will be after I get myself my copy of Gran Turismo 4... because I also need money to buy stuff at Condoplaza del Sol. I also hope they won't move to the Torrena tower once it's complete... their prices would surely be as high as that building.
