“WHAT THE--!!” Mei screamed at the top of her lungs. Her whole entire house was trashed. Muddy paw prints covered the house from the floor to the ceiling as well as things being knocked off of the tables and walls. Broken plates, glasses, picture frames, chairs, bruised fruit and broken spice shakers littered the floor with numerous other things that were put away neatly about two hours before. Okibi walked into the house and was shocked by the sight. She glanced over at Mei whose face was bright red and eyes were brimming with tears. Okibi looked back at the scene, small feathers from the couch and chairs floating in the air mixed with small, shining, specks of flour, and saw a small husky walk out from the door way in the kitchen. The pup was almost completely covered with dried and wet mud. It had a bra across his neck, a pair of underwear on its snout, flour covering its back and flecks of what looked like egg yolk dripping from the fur on its paws. Okibi’s ears twitched slightly. Mei looked at the floor, her face covered by loose strands of dark brown hair.
“Okibi,” she said shakily “That’s your dog, right?”
“Uh huh.” She said emotionless. Mei clenched her fist and started to shake furiously. “HOW THE HELL DID IT GET INTO OUR HOUSE?! WHY DOES IT ALWAYS GET INTO STUFF?! WHY CAN’T YOU JUST TRAIN THE DAMN THING?!” Mei was almost at the breaking point. Right then two more identical huskies frolicked into the dining room, covered head to paw with mud and also decorated with random objects from the once spotless house.
“GAAAHHHHHH!!” Mei had lost it. She threw her arms up in the air and continued yelling at the ceiling. The three garbage covered pups looked at the overly upset Mei and continued to wag their tails and grin with their long, soft pink, tongues lolling out of their mouths. Okibi couldn’t hold it in any longer. She burst out laughing and collapsed to the floor, rolling around holding her stomach, her light violet kimono getting covered with flour and dirt that covered the floor. Mei glared over at Okibi and started to shake her fist at the inu-hanyou on the floor.
“WHY CAN’T YOU JUST GROW UP?! YOU AND YOUR DOGS?! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU WOULD BE LAUGHING ON THE FLOOR!!! ESPECIALLY SINCE I LET YOU LIVE HERE!! THIS IS THE THANKS I GET?!” Mei kept on ranting which made Okibi laugh even harder. Rose walked in after waving back to her other friend and a nervous grin slowly crept across her face. Rose felt a bead of sweat drip down her cheek as she watched one of her best friends scream at another one of her best friends who was rolling on a completely destroyed floor.
‘You would never think that they were just laughing together at a movie, the best of friends.’ Rose thought. ‘Well better get cleaning,’ Rose used her Earth Bending powers to peel some muddy paw prints off of the wall beside her. She walked over to the window by the table and opened it. The mud gravitated out of the window.
“NOW LOOKED WHAT YOU DID, OKIBI!! NOW ROSE THINKS IT’S HER RESPONDSIBILITY TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESS!! STOP LAUGHING!! STOP IT!!!!!” Roses’ arms fell to her sides and she sighed.
“Well, I am going to just go home then. You guys can clean it up.” Mei jumped onto a continuously laughing Okibi and started to punch her on the head. ‘There’s no way to get them to stop arguing. Maybe if they spend some time together they might sort out their differences.’ She glanced over at the two still at each other’s throats. Well, actually Mei was straddling Okibi’s back and yanking her soft, white, puppy ears. Okibi was on her stomach, head being forced in the air by the vicious tugging, tears streaming down her face, still laughing.
“HAHA! That’s a funny one Rose,” she said loudly to herself. Okibi and Mei froze where they were and both looked up at Rose confused at why Rose was talking so loudly.
“Later,” she said and left. Okibi and Mei continued to roll around on the floor, Mei upset and Okibi hysterically laughing.
“Are they ever going to stop?” asked the smallest pup to the twins.
“I don’t think so anytime soon,” they commented at the same time.
“Oh. Well do you guys want some popcorn?”
“Sure”
“Okay.” The pup got up and trotted into the kitchen.
“Extra salt and butter or Kettle corn?”
