Mind's Eye
At school, I drool. In my mind's eye, I'm learning to fly.
At school we're doing a lab, though really I'm ordering a cab.
At school, my password's invalid, In my mind's eye, I'm eating a salad.
At school we're making dyes, though really I'm making pies.
At school I'm taking a test, In my mind's eye, I'm not the least bit stressed.
At school we're singing, though really the phone's ringing.
Now I'm on a train, I'll never be the same. Back to the real world, going so fast my mind whorled.
Sigh, good-bye.

Magic
Spirits and lyrics, spells and bells.
Pentacle and unstoppable, brine and thyme.
Yarrow and sparrow, gold candle and door handle.
Fennel and kennel, sage and rage.
The goddess and modest, meditate and generate.
By the power of three times three, as I will it, so it shall be

Reasons To Hate School
I do not like schools, they have too many rules.
You're told what to wear, and you're not allowed to swear.
And when you get a paper cut, the teacher starts to tut.
While a few teachers never showed any hatred, with the others I was always rated.
While my teachers teach me blue is azul, I'd prefer to play pool.
When we went to the zoo, there was nothing to do.
So I would rather duel, then go to school.

Witch's Potion
dead rat and bat fat, blood pools and toad stools,
human bile and a goat's dung pile, poison oak and a love note.
Wolf bane and steel chain, a drop of lust and a pile of dust.
Death and old jealous Beth, broken pins and dreadful sins.
Rotate counterclockwise thirteen times, add some thyme and brine.
Add lacewings and a metal link. Stir in onyx and sonnets.
Do not tire and light the fire! Dip in a spoon and take a sip, the agony makes you bite your lip.
You step down and look in the mirror, but you no longer see you. A model looks back through the mirror.
She straightens and walks out the door, she’s good lookin to the core.
Boys follow her all around, and she weeps, without a sound.

Girl, or Wrestler
Being a girl I'm supposed to flirt, not wrestle around in the dirt.
Daily I get my face rubbed into the wrestling mat, Being a girl I should be more of a spoiled brat.
Being a girl I should be shopping at the mall, Instead my wrestling coach is yelling for me to sprawl.
From all the rug burns I get my arms look beat up, being a girl I should be more interested in make up.
Being a girl I should worry about my hair, sometimes I really don't give a care.
During practice I wear really baggy shirts, being a girl I should be wearing mini skirts.
Being a wrestler and being a girl are two different tasks, and for now all I'm going to do is relax.

I Want To Know
What is hate, what is love, Is it from below, or from above?
Why must I learn density, Why do I have chores today?
How is it some people dislike me, How is it some people like me?
When will I be out of school, When will people stop trying to act cool.
Where did life start, did it come from the heart?
Who am I, who are you, How come most guys don’t like to sew?
How come some people won’t turn down a dare, How come life isn't always fair?

Gum
People are always chewing gum, while ‘exercising’ their thumbs, or while working on sums.
Sometimes people put gum in odd places, on my seat, under the desks, even in some guy’s lunch.
Chewing gum isn’t a sin, though most teachers say to throw it in the wastepaper bin.
