My absolute favorite shounen-ai. The art is beautiful. The music is very well fitted to the series.

The setting is modern day Japan, but the alot ofthe people have a name written like a scar somewhere on their body. There is someone else that has this same name elsewhere, and these too people are just perfect for each other. But one is called a Fighter, the other is called a Sacrifice. If two people for one reason are ordered to fight with another two, then they have a spell battle. They use poetic type spells and the more poetic the words the more powerful the spell. The Fighter always does the spell casting, but the Sacrifice takes the damage from the opponents Fighter. So if you arent casting good enough spells, the person you care about most in the world physically suffers in front of you. The story is a little more complex then that, but the anime has stopped just from lack of funds I guess. The manga has continued, but I havent read it. Its got a little yaoi as well as yuri, its like the people that have the same name as you can be of a random gender, so you have all sorts of pairings.
