So, I figured I'd start a little roleplay, just cause I'm bored. Feel free to join in when you want, but as a precaution, please write in para-posts (the kind of rping you'll see below). Thanks! 3nodding Oh, and this is basically a Medieval Fantasy rp, fyi.

Setting:
This is the world of Malidor, a two continent world trapped in a renaissance period. Currently, three major kingdoms have been established throughout the lands: The Kingdom of Rauz, The Kingdom of Leiru, and The Kingdom of Mabuwa. The Rauz family, a noble linage of humans, have brought forth their peaceful ruling in the icy mountains of northern Kuduwar, the eastern continent. The Leiru family, the unstable nobles of the dragonkin, have developed a massive city in the southern tropics of Almeza, the western continent. The family of Mabuwa, a noble linage of wild elves that have been in power since the dawn of time, have built their city in the deserts of middle-Almeza. These are the cities of the three major powers, and as such, have officially been labeled the capitals of their ruling race. It goes that Kuduwar is the continent of ice while Alemza is the continent of fire, but there are climate changes on each continent.

On Kuduwar, ice and mountains rule the north and much of the middle area. A massive river, running south east through the continent, practically separates it in two; this river is known as The River of Macabre. After the Scourge’s War, a war between the undead and the humans, many bodies were dumped in the river, causing it to turn blood-red. It is said that fragments of the bodies still creep down the river, and that the river still runs red upon nightfall. The area south of the river is known as the Lower Wilds, only because it has yet to be explored. The undead have been rumored to still live here, and they probably do, but they have yet to show themselves since the Scourge’s War. Plains and wetlands sketch the outermost areas of Kuduwar, their only purpose seemingly to block travelers and adventurers as they quest. Port cities are frequent sights near the Kingdom of Rauz; since they have barely any farming lands, they import many crops and spices from the other continent. Their main export is gold and jewels from the mines in the mountains.

On Almeza, there is mainly desert to the north and tropics to the south. The middle-point, where the Kingdom of Mabuwa sits, is guarded solidly by mountains to the east and two rivers, one south and one north. These rivers are also known as the Keeru-tai, which is wild elvish for "The Twin Goddess' Rivers". These rivers supply the wild elves with the ability to irrigate their land, making it great, fertile farming land. The rivers only flood two times a year; during this time, the land becomes overrun with water. Although any crops planted would suffer, once the water has been absorbed, it becomes fertile. This expands the wild elves' farming land quite a bit, but only for a season; then they must return to irrigating the land. This is known as the Season of Flooding, or the Filuda. South of the Kingdom of Mabuwa are the tropics. This is a fairly uninhabited area, save for the dragonkin of the Kingdom of Leiru. Their massive city stretches across the entire southern tip, but most dragonkin stay within the main walls of their Kingdom. The dragonkin mainly export lumber, but they have been known to sell off exotic creatures and a variety of mining ores. Off the southern tip lies 6 islands, often called the Draevuk Isle. It is said that a tribal sub-species of orcs and a few trolls live on these islands, but none have been brave enough to find out themselves. As for northern Almeza...well, tis another story. A variety of people state that they've traveled through the mountains and forests of the north and found clans of rouges as wells as mystical beasts unheard of by anyone "normal". Packs of chimeras and manticores, as wells as massive wyverns have been reported through this area, but it's all unofficial.

Get The Low-Down!:
Ha, you thought this was a short cut? Nah, you gotta read everything above. I'll just go into detail about the races of Malidor, as well as classes and government, etc.

Races:
- Wild Elves: A type of elf that ranges from 5'7 to 6'3 (males often taller) and usually have bronze skin and orange-red hair. Markings, piercing, and heavy armor are often things to find on wild elves. They are loud, obnoxious, rude, blood-lusting, and overall brutish. (Mainly a warrior/melee class).
- Moon Elves: Practically the opposite of wild elves. Their heights ranges are the same, but they have pale skin and dark hair colors. Only markings on the face are allowed with the moon elves. They are often of the mage class, which means they wear very light armor. Usually they are quiet, isolated, snooty, and basically the essence of sophistication. (Mainly a magic class).
- Humans: The universal being. He is good at practically everything. They have a wide variety of hair colors and skin colors. They may have anything of the typical human standards (no wings, horns, or tails unless he is a half-demon). They have no set personality, although most seem to think they're the superior race. They have a specially in swords, but also can have magical talents at birth. (Multi-classing available, no set class).
- Gnomes: A small humanoid, usually averaging 3 feet in height. They are extremely fast and intelligent. They have pale skin colors, but often have unusual hair colors. Engineering is a specialty, but they lack in heavy melee combat. They're rather nice people, but can be rude at times. Most are willing to help out, and some can be quite gullible. (Mainly rouge and magic classes).
- Dwarves: Similar to the Gnomes in height. They are excellent miners, and great at melee combat. They often have darker skin colors and orange or grey hair colors. A long beard compliments most men, and long hair compliments the women naturally. They can be rather daft at times, but their friendship is a loyal one. They can be very religious if they're a Cleric. (Mainly melee or cleric).
- Orcs: A brutal race of blood-lusting, green humanoids. They usually have no thought but that to kill; they have been known to raid human and elvish encampments randomly. Their heads are bare of any hair and their skin is in different shades of green. With a bulky frame and a lust for power and blood, these guys are the perfect war machines. (Melee class only)
- Trolls: A shamanistic race of tall, lanky, blue humanoids. Like the orcs, they have a lust for blood, but it can be tamed over the years. They are a humorous bunch, but when things get serious, so can they. Their hatred for humans is so great that they've taken out many small towns of humans. Many have allied themselves with the orcs in an attempt to unify, but it has not come to be yet. (Mainly magic or melee class)
- Undead: Very little is known about the undead. They apparently live south of the Macabre River, in the Lower Wilds, but it is only a rumor. They usually have deteriorating skin, broken bones, bloodstained cloth, and a variety of gruesome gashes. They are the resurrected one, often known as the Forsaken. Their bitter outlook on life can leave a person feeling like they should die; despite this, they've been known to crack a good joke or two (although usually a grotesque one). (Mainly a melee or magic class)
- Minotaurs: A peaceful group of bull-like people that roam the plains on the outermost areas of Kuduwar. They have established many encampments in their area, but no official cities. Ranging from 7 to 8 feet and holding up a massive frame, these creatures can look intimidating, but they are usually good-hearted. They are mostly quiet and isolated from most races, but humans have been known to interact with them. (Mainly a magic class)
- Dragonkin: The fabled human-dragon hybrid. They have various heights, like their human counterparts, but usually only red or green scaled skin. Wings and horns are predominant features, as well as a tail and claw-like hands and feet. They are a beautiful race, but uphold brutal laws. Being so strict with themselves, one would think they could establish a decent city, but only havoc has come from their cities. They are deeply involved in magical practices. (Mainly a magic class)
- Animalkin: Human-animal hybrids. (I'm feeling lazy...be creative).
- Demons: From the depths of the Netherworld, demons are born. They escape to the real world through rips and tears, so by being summoned. Their appearance can vary; usually most look like humans with horns. That is their predominant feature, and it can not be hidden. They have a mischievous personality, and lust for causing havoc and chaos. Many have mated with humans to create human-demon hybrids. These are unfortunate creatures; never fully accepted by humans, never fully accepted by demons. They don't even gain any demonic powers, save for the boost of magic from their demon horns and the normal demon's long lifespan. Their powers are limited, as well as where they can leave to. Many have been captured and sold into slavery or bribed into servitude (it's very hard for human-demon hybrid to get a job). There are hardly any who exist for more than a 1000 years. (Demons are a Warlock or Rouge-specific class, human-demon hybrids are allowed any class but Knight).

Classes:
- Warrior: Sling swords. Use heavy armor. Kill stuff. =)
- Barbarian: Like...whoa...too many steroids? Get outta my way, Hulkimania. You and your massive axe can go have a moment somewhere else.
- Knight: You're like...an advanced warrior. Except...like...more royal. Congrats.
- Paladin: You're Holy-based. Basically a warrior...just more friendly...and holy.
- Hunter: Get a beast. Get some arrows. Get a sword. Go kill stuff. Medium armor until you get all skilled and crap. Then you can wear heavy stuff.
- Rouge: Silent...but deadly. What are you, a fart? talk2hand Anyways, go stealthily kill someone and take their loot. Trick people. Ya know, ya know.
- Cleric: The healing b***h. Don't deny! You visit temples and church, pray, then go heal some warrior.
- Mage: Fire and water, lightning and air...and other elements. Get your magic stick and start casting.
- Warlock: Raise some demons! Comand your legion of crazed demony-demons...with a stick. Or hand. Or orb. Or something. You get the idea.
- Necromancer: Raise the dead and...uh...get glowing green eyes. Yup.
- Monk: Go shave your head, you kung-fu dorkfish.
- Shaman: Get high, imagine seeing some elemental spirit, talking to it, and go quest around for your magic shaman stick. Good luck, you sad little stoned guy.
- Druid: Transform into an animal. Treat nature with respect. Talking to trees. Secretly molest them too...like you'd normally do. Tree-hugger.

AHAHAHAHA! I'M DONE!

Here's the map of the world: WORLD MAP!!!. 3nodding Anyways, onto my first post. If you wanna know my character, go to my most recent journal and read up.

Morning Rising

The sun rose with its usual magnificent beauty, a beauty so bright, it could rival the aura of the Goddess of Light, Heerune. The sunlight gradually appeared over a nearby town, awakening it's inhabitants one by one. The light crawled through the window of a certain traveling wild elf's inn room, softly placing it's warm, bright hands over her body. Piercing greens eyes flew open, a confused head rising instantly from a blue pillow, tangled orange hair curling over bronzed shoulders and a slender backside. The female gave a dark glare towards the sun, not at all pleased with its rude interjection between her dreams. She stretched and yawned, afterwards yanking on her hunting gear and fixing up her hair a bit. Walking down from her upper room, the wild elf looked over the main room, hoping to see the owner of the building. "Must still be asleep...well, I can't expect humans to rise at the sight of the sun." She thought to herself quietly, chuckling as she made her way to the kitchen.

She rummaged through cabinets and doors, but her efforts were futile; nothing decent to eat was at her disposal. Huffing in anger, she made her way to the door. Just before leaving, she heard a voice call out to her: "Mrs. Yeva! Wait!" She cocked her head to one side, examining a young and very rushed-dressed man with damp hair. "Yes?" She responded, a snooty undertone latching itself onto her words. The man smirked and slicked his hair back, going on to speak to her. "Suave...haha". She merely tuned him out, green eyes glancing around the inn. "So, it comes down to your payment...you've been here for nearly a week. When are you going to pay?" The huntress eyed the innkeeper, locking contact with him for quite a while. It seemed ages before her response, but it eventually came. "I'll pay when I want." Such a biting and dominant comment was practically unheard of, specially in a time when women were not so highly respected. Well, for humans anyways.

At first anger crossed the man’s face, but after noting Yeva's grip on the b*****d sword* at her side, he nervously nodded and went off back to his room. She cackled and kicked open the front entrance, making her grand exit to the town. Dominance was what wild elves were centered around, even the women. In her clan, both genders were equal, which is why she would be the heir to the throne of her clan, and not her younger brother. "Now, what to do on such a fine morning?" She said to herself loudly, a smirk playing vibrantly on her lips.

*b*****d Sword: Ok, no, this isn't a bad-word sword. It's pronounced "buh-stard". It's a foreign sword used a lot in med-fan rps. Get it? Got it? Good.

A very tall figure shrouded in an ecliesiastical black robe hurryed down the dusty dirt street. His head was covered in black hood that was backlit from the rising sun. He chanted in a holy tounge and held a rosery that came out of a gap in the sleeves that came together in the front. As he walked down the street he was abviously was not paying attention to where he was going because he bumped into the wild elf with no more than a mumblen appology

(that should get things going nicly)

Umph! Yeva took a step back from the little bump, green eyes glowering at the black-cloaked figure. "Hey, watch it!" Her glare quickly moved to the rosery, taking note of it and the holy tongue in which he chanted. "What are you, some kinda cleric?" She pointed a rude finger at him. "You don't want to start business with me!" She whipped a curl of hair from her face, grabbing on to her sword and tossing its weight to her shoulders. "Listen pal, how about you just say you're sorry, alright? I'm the noble heir of Mabuwa, and I deserve at least a little respect!" What a rotten brat...she obviously hadn't heard his apology.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 20, 2007 1:55 pm

The figure slowly turned and stopped when it could get a look at the women. He was a good head taller that her, being at about 6'6". when he stopped the light of the rising sun lighted up the very edge of his face revealing the heavaly tatooed blue face of a Moon elf "you dare bear arms in the preasence of one who serve the most powerfull? take back your actions and think the meaning of your life in comparison to mine, the servent of the most powerfull?" His voice was ver deep. and sounded horse and scratchy like he had been sick for half his life and haddn't had a drink in twent yyears. The one eye visable to Yeva was full of an intense fire and showed that he was deadly seriouse, or just a very good actor.

To animalkin, her fear would've been easily picked up by scent, but to the normal humanoid she seemed to have a look that could kill. "A moon elf, eh? Your kind are nothing but traitors to the Sun Goddess! You dwell in darkness, worshipping your gods of the moon. How dare you even show your face." She was not at all pleased with the situation. True, he was taller than her, but it wasn't a problem. The rivalry between the wild elves and moon elves was upheld longer than the dawn of time. Wild elves have been the majority, which is why they consider themselves such noble creatures, but that doesn't mean the moon elves must submit themselves like their kind did so long in the past. After many scirmishes between the two, the wild elves eventually pushed moon elves from their territory and into the forests, creating that harsh barrier.

Ajusting the sword on her shoulders, the huntress took a quick glance behind the moon elf, noticing that her beastial companion had finally joined them. Bangalash was the tiger's name, and it had it's vicious green gaze upon the moon elf. "Ah, my pet has arrived. Hold your tongue, moon elf, or I'll be forced to take action. I would've thought your kind had learned their place a long time ago!" Poison seemingly dripped from those words; a biting remark like that surly didn't go unnotice.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 20, 2007 2:20 pm

A viciouse smile lit up his face, revealing his teeth, or lack of teeth i should say. The only thing in his mouth was a few yellow-brown and green teeth. "Are you quite sure with what you say? nothing you want to recant? of courxe not, how silly of me. I forgot how stubborn your kind is. Much like the Moon elves too..." his voice trailed off into nothing-ness. he reached out his left arm, which was closer to the tiger, and thrust a yellow palm twords her "pet". though he was too far to make physical contact with it, if she spoke out to Bangalash he would do nothing. "as i said, i serve the all powerfull, and if you will not submit," he paused here for a moment, "I will MAKE you" he added these last words with urgent furvor

((and thats not god-madding because i wouldn't think that making someone deaf would be a very high level spell, even less so if your target was an animal))

The grotesque display of teeth made her want to vomit, but she held it down, glare refocusing on the man. She watched and listened, anger growing in her heart and mind. She could feel that bloodlusting that her kind so often had, and at his final statment, that last nerve snapped. "Damnable pest, how DARE you talk in such a manner! Bangalash, attack!" The white tiger growled and lept towards him, fangs and claws ready for a good rip of the flesh. Yeva had her sword in both hands, reaching it high above her head, swinging it down at the moon elf.

((wait, what about god-modding and being deaf? n__n;; oh hey, and i g2g to the soccer game. be back at 9-ish.))

(( (...) ok then just forget i posted that... stare ))

In light of the sudden sittuation Vakama's knuckle blades flew into his hands and he dropped down olmose to his knees and lifted one of the footlong blades crossways to Yeva's blade and the other with the point resting right at where the animals head would be when it droped in range of Vakama's weapon.

((gah, i'm sorry! Now I see what you meant in your post. I wasn't reading it right. You really should put that you made my tiger deaf in the actual post. I was like, "whoa, what's he talking about?" when you spoke OOC.))

He was swift. She grunted as the massive b*****d sword was deflected, taking a step back at the force of the deflection and the weight of the sword. Her eyes swiftly took note of the blade meant for her tiger and she flung a slender, round object roughly 5 inches in circumfrence at the area, shielding her pet from it's death. The white tiger lept back in pain, a small gash appearing on it's neck. Despite her efforts, Yeva couldn't fully protect her beast. Blood dripped slowly from the wound, but the tiger didn't seemed to care. It roared in Vakama's direction, leaping once more at the man.

Yeva on the other hand had quickly found herself a nice spot on the roof of the inn. In her hand was a shimmering long bow, three arrows at the string and aiming straight at the moon elf. With a devious smirk, she launched them.

Vakama sneared "surly you can give my a better exercise than this?" Then with suprising finece and dexterity, He suddenly shifted his feet and jumped under the lunge of the large beast, keeping his bladesup as he did this so as to create a pair of cuts running the length of the soft underside of her beast. While his jump was fast it did not stop one of the arrows from gouging itself into his left shin. he skidded to a stop on the ground and created a large cloud of dust. He grimiced slightly and viewed the wound with anoince. He dropped his knuckle blades, grabbed the arrow, and ripped it out of the wound with not even a sign of blood. He held the arrow between his two hands, and with a shorth incantation, The arrow sped out of his hands with suprising speed and it flew right to the tigers right shoulder.

It was too buch to bear watching her tiger -the very beast she held so close at her side since her younger years- bascially get ripped to shreds by this stranger, this moon elf. Rage built up quickly in her body, and the bloodlust returned. Honestly, she wanted to rip his intestines out and feed them to him. But, she'd restrain herself...for now.

The sight of one of her arrows hitting his shin made a wicked grin flash on her lips, but it dissappeared as soon as it came. No blood? Not even a drop? This brought disappointment to the wild elf, but there were more dangerous matters at hand; her own arrow was heading straight for Bangalash! She jumped from the roof inn, another flat rock in her hand, ready to throw and block the attack. But, it was too late; the arrow struck violently into the tiger's shoulders, a deafening roar emitting from it as it fell to the ground. Oh, that was it. No one, and she meant NO ONE hurts her beast. Taking a final glance at the tiger, she noted that it was merely unconscious; the breaths were heavy, but visible.

Emerald eyes narrowed and fell upon Vakama, rage obviously glowing in them. "You've defeated my pet, but you've yet to actually face me. Then again, I wouldn't expect a cowerd like yourself would face both me and my pet at the same time...no, you've got no guts. Or power. Or courage. Or anything else, for that matter." She gave a bitter laugh, eyes still locked upon him. "Are you ready to die?" Another laugh, and she was off again. Sword in hand, Yeva flew at the man with incredible speed, ready to slice him into pieces.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 21, 2007 2:42 pm

Vakama sneared "no... I might not have any of the things you talk about, but one thing that I do have, is intelagence, why face two when you can take out one of them first?" then he thust out both of his hands and his knuckle blades flew from there places on the ground and flew into his hands. he brought them up to his face in a defensive pose waiting for her to creat an opening for him to exploit.

She wouldn't fall for such trickery. He was just waiting for her to take a swing with that bulky sword, only to miss and allow him to have an opening at her backside. She swiftly swerved to the right and slid on the ground, making an acurate and quick turn facing straight at his back. Following the movement, she thrusted her sword right at the center of his back. She was still smirking wildly.

Vakama stood still as Yeva prounced around in an attempt to kill him. She thrust her sword forward, and with a discusting noise, thrust through his back and out of his front. "I tire of this fighting" he said with out as much as a whimper of pain. "be gone and i will not provoke you further" he said as he walked forward guiding the sword out of his stomack with his hands.

((god-playing much? You're character is a moon elf, yes? They're not immortal...but, I'll go along with it. stare You'd better be glad I had already decided she'd lose the fight, or else I'd be maddddd.))

Shock plastered its self on her face as the sword dropped from his stomach. "W-what...?! A curse...tis a curse! Foul beasts, you moon elves, you must've mingled with demons!" She pointed a cruel, shaking finger at Vakama, eyes still wide with surprise. Rising from the ground, Yeva held her sword up, the blade quivering slightly due to her falling stamina. She breathed heavily, glaring at him, studying his every move. In the back of her mind, she knew she wouldn't win this fight, but the Will of the Wild Elves provoked her to continue, even if it meant death. With a roar of anger, she charged again, blade high above her head.
