Summary
In the year 2449 of the Celestial Calendar of the country of Seresu, the Great War began with an event known to the people of Seresu as the Western Massacre. When the invaders from the land of Suwa set in on the western lands of Seresu, they destroyed not only the West Mage, the protector of the western lands, but also his family and his people. The only known survivor was ten-year-old Fai D. Flowright, only son of the Western Mage, who was found sleeping in the snow outside of the city by Prince Ashura when he was sent by his father, the king, to gather information on the incident. Due to the horrors he witnessed during the massacre, Fai not only does not recall that event which took everything that was precious to him but he can also no longer remember anything of his past at all. Fai was taken in by Ashura and his father and remains today as Ashura’s most trusted advisor, friend, and now lover as well.
The year is now 2462 and the war that took the lives of Fai’s parents and people still rages on. As Ashura and Fai both face their own internal and external conflicts, a new factor enters into their lives which will change them forever. Fai’s twin sister, Alicia R. Flowright, actually survived the massacre as well and has finally made her way to the palace to reunite with her brother after ten long years. Her arrival is greatly welcomed as a beacon of hope by the nation but for Fai and Ashura her arrival brings an array of mixed emotions and conflicts. She is allowed to stay in the castle alongside her brother but for how long will things maintain a sense of order and structure? Is everything destined to fall apart as a result of such a hope-filled event?The Main Characters
Alicia (Faikitty) – Fye's twin sister. She too survived the massacre in 2449. After that, she traveled the countryside for years, honing her magic as she moved. She has previously allied herself with the Mage’s Militia when she has happened upon them but has never officially joined because her true goal is to finally make it to the palace to rejoin her brother, which she has finally achieved.
Ashura (Phiso) – King of Seresu. Ashura has been continuing the war since the death of his father in 2458. He kept Fye, his closest friend and lover, out of the Mage’s Militia at first claiming he still needed proper training but then, when Fye grew strong and he became king, by selecting Fye to be his personal advisor on how to best make use of the Mage’s Militia in order to bring an end to the war they both despise. With the arrival of Fye's sister Alicia, some suspect Ashura may be feeling a little left out… and perhaps jealous too.
Chii (Dimensional Witch Yuko) – Creation of Fye. Chii is the only living being ever successfully created by a magician, which sets Fye apart from the other mages. The common belief is that Fye, unable to even recall memories of his real family, used his magic to create Chii in order to form a sort of surrogate family. Most of the palace’s servants staff advisors and the like love Chii and describe her relationship with Fye as being similar to the relationship between a daughter and her precious father.
Fye (Fye D. Flourite) – The supposed sole survivor of the Western Massacre. Fye remembers nothing of his past before the moment he first met Ashura. They were very close friends from the start and the relationship later developed into a romantic one. With no family of his own and no memories of his family to comfort him, Fye has created a bit of a surrogate family with Ashura and his creation Chii. Now that his twin sister has reentered his life, Fye's world has been turned upside-down and he feels overwhelmed with a sense of both joy and sorrow.
Icchan (Grand Admiral Gin) – A strange scientist with a bizarre personality. Ichiro has been working in the palace for nearly a decade as the head of weapons development. Despite his gruesome job, the scientist maintains an amazingly (and sometimes creepily) cheerful attitude. Although by blood a man of Suwa, Ichiro has been in Seresu for as long as he can remember and no one has ever even dared to suggest that he might be a spy.
Kurogane (Kurogane Suwa) – One of the high-ranking commanders of the army of Suwa. He was captured in a recent battle and his execution is scheduled to occur soon but Alicia has other plans…

Notes, Updates, Etc.
~Ashura has a very high level of magical energy.
~There are many mages in the country of Seresu but four mages (or rather three after the Western Massacre) of distinctive blood and power rule over the four regions under Ashura like feudal lords.
~The four regions are divided by direction - North, South, East, West
~Mages born to people of a particular region are naturally gifted in a particular field of magic.
~Westerners are naturally gifted in the field of ice magic, Easterners are naturally gifted in the field of fire magic, Northerners are naturally gifted in the field of wind magic, and Southerners are naturally gifted in the field of earth magic.
~The Mages' Militia is the closest thing to an army of mages that the nation has. It has a significant number of fighters but it is severely lacking in structure.
~People coming and going from the Mages' Militia like Alicia did is nothing out of the ordinary. It is a part of the difficulties involved in the lack of structure.

“Niichan?!” Alicia pushed her way through the mob of servants who were trying to force her back, struggling to get to the blond man, who was walking with a tall refined raven-haired man she instantly recognized as the king. “Niichan!?”
The servants protested. “Ma’am, please, go back.” “It is forbidden for anyone to go and see the king without proper identification and expressed permission.” “Please, Ma’am, go back before we are forced to call the soldiers in.”
Alicia paid no mind. She pushed forward and cried out again, “Niichan!? Fye-nii!?”

((Hurray! whee It's started!))
Ashura walked with a cool authority, his lips set in a thin line and his demeanor one of intense impatience. Already displeased with the way the day was going, his temper was dangerously short, made obvious by the way his golden eyes flashed whenever something bothered him.
One example of such an event was now. A girl was crying out something unintelligible behind them, causing a rukus among his servants and giving him a splitting headache. Tempted to just have her arrested with a wave of his hand, his arm froze in mid air when he heard her call Fye's name.
A sliver of curiosity awoke within him, and he gave the blond wizard a side-long glance. "Fye-nii?" Ashura gave his companion a strange smile. "Do you know this girl, Fye? Because she certainly seems to know you."

Chii glanced down at the girl in the crowd of servants, she seemed so distraught over the fact that she could not get to Fye. The girl blinked slightly and realized that Ashura and Fye had continued to walk with out her. "Chii!" Chii squeaked and she trotted after the king and the wizard, when she caught up she latched herself to Fye's arm.
'Do you know this girl, Fye?' She heard the king ask. Fye had to know her...she would be sad if he didn't.
"Chii thinks that girl looks very much like Fye." Chii said, adding in her two cents on the matter.

Fye was being careful to not upset Ashura's mood that day because he could feel the irritation he kept inside. He was walking beside him quietly, as he heard a voice that he did everything to ignore. If someone was calling for him, it could not possibly be good. When Ashura asked if he knew the person, he had to turn and look. "Do I know who - ?" Facing his blonde twin, Fye's eyes went wide and he became speechless. He didn't know the girl, but he felt like he should have. She looks so familiar! She looks...like me!! He stuttered weakly, wondering if he imagined things, "W-Who...."

Ashura made an intrigued noise, and found his inquisitiveness mixing with his impatience. "Who indeed?" he drawled, studying the girl with a slight frown. His eyes darting to Fye's face briefly, he decided he wanted to know why this girl caused such a reaction in his advisor. He didn't like it, and therefore wished to learn how to prevent it again.
"You," he said suddenly, pointing to one of the men closest to the girl. "Bring her to the throne room." His eyes twinkled like a cat watching a mouse as he spoke. "I wish to discover the cause of such chaos." He smiled at her, though a reassuring smile it was not. "Surely there must be some reason behind her actions."

In his moment of weakness, Fye called out to Ashura. "Ashura-sama...!" He could not explain even to himself the worry that gathered in his heart or the fear of having that girl hurt. He was afraid of what Ashura would do to her or what he would order other people to do to her. Then, Fye wondered a different thing altogether. What if she was a deceitful spy sent by someone just for the purpose of baffling him and getting his affections? I don't know her... He swallowed and tried to stop from worrying. His cool face hid the shivers he felt underneath as he grabbed Chii's arm more tightly. Fye turned back to the direction they were walking in and spoke with all the calm he could muster. "Ashura-sama. It's not important." Please leave her alone. He pleaded softly with his large, blue eyes to his king while his face remained passive.

Chii quietly observed the goings on, and her face filled with a worry that mirrored Fye's own emotions. She noticed his hold on her tighten and Chii laid a comforting hand on Fye's arm. "Chii..."
The girl, however, said nothing more. She did not know much of what was going on, and knew that she didn't want to make neither Ashura or Fye upset. Chii glanced out toward the girl again, wondering what her relation to Fye really was.

"Fye-nii, don't you remember me?" Alicia pleaded pathetically, searching his eyes for the truth. "You... you don't..." she frowned at this realization. Twisting against the grip of the man who had grabbed her under the king's orders, Alicia tore an arm free and pulled a pendant from around her neck. "Even if you don't remember... surely... surely you recognize the family crest on my pendant... Please... I've struggled so hard... I've waited so long... all for this moment... please..."
((Everything seems just fine so far, although honestly my character is supposed to look like the one in my banner, but that really doesn't matter.))

((I didn't do anything to it. It just hurt a little. I think it's ok...Sorry for interrupting. xd ))
Since she moved closer the girl looked even more familiar and Fye shrank away from her like she was a lunatic. He pulled away even from Chii's nice touch to move closer to Ashura. I don't have a family! What is she talking about? Fye's family was something he didn't think of and barely remembered. At the very least, he knew he was born, he had a mother and father, and they were dead. He laughed with a little touch of hysteria as he waved his hands in front of him. "No..no...I think you have the wrong person. S-See I don't have a family. If I had a sister that was still living, I think I would know." His eyes looked over the crest in her hand as he spoke, and a weird feeling came over him. The shivers and chills from earlier were becoming panics of alarm. What is that? Something inside him was trying to remember, but something horrible was fighting the memories. At last, Fye was left to stare with wonder at the object in her hand.

Ashura watched all this with a sharp eye, disliking this girl's effect on Fye more and more with every passing second. Who was she to bring up something Fye tried so hard to forget? She was, more than likely, a lunatic who had mistaken herself for someone she clearly was not.
Still, as she took out the pendant, Ashura narrowed his eyes. He recognized the design, even if Fye didn't; it was indeed of his old house, and a symbol he hadn't seen for many years. Perhaps this girl knew more than he initially thought. Now he definitely needed to speak to her.
"Young lady," Ashura said in a chilling voice, ever the man of decorum but still capable of commanding authority in any situation. His temper was shortening again. "I do not appreciate this rude interruption of my schedule for your mad ravings, but since you seem so insistant upon speaking to my advisor, I will ensure you your audience." He raised a hand, and two guards appeared out of nowhere.
"Take this young lady to the throne room," Ashura ordered, his eyes burning with a cold fire. "See to it that the proper precautions are taken. We will be there shortly."

((Wow, I suck at guards. sweatdrop ))
The guards immediately stiffened at the girl's words and took her arms harshly, understanding her words to be more threatening than she probably intended them to be.
"Come on, you're coming with us," said one of the guards, a toned man with more strength than his appearance let on and who was unusually fond of clichés. The other guard, taller and more obviously muscular merely jerked her along one of the passages, causing the first guard to start but quickly get into step.
"Make one wrong move, missy," said the thinner guard threateningly, "And you'll regret it."
"Just don't be stupid," said the taller one in a low voice. "Ashura-ou showed you mercy. Don't be ungrateful."
