Threads not to make:
These are the most common types of threads moved out of Avatar Talk. People often make threads that should belong in other forums, but mistake them for Avatar Talk appropriate threads.
*new* Avatar Arena Solicitations - Asking for votes/rates and comments is not allowed in the avatar arena forum, and not allowed here. Threads containing this sort of self solicitation will be moved to the Chatterbox/recycle bin, as they are seen as spam.
Tag-Ons - Simply tagging on a rate me at the end of your threads does not make it AT kosher. If we feel the main purpose of your thread is not Avatar related, it will be moved. We understand that sometimes people like to add extra information or anecdotes to rating threads to make them more interesting. We will try to use our best judgement in these cases.
Art Posts - This is not a forum to show off, sell or request avatar Art. The Picture Post and Requests and Comissions/Freebies forum are the appropriate places for this.
Rate/rape/Molestation me - not too long ago, the amount of Rap/te me threads and posts joking about Molestation and Rape was out of hand. Keep in mind the sensitive nature of these topics, and how they can be offensive and hurtful to certain individuals. Posts with Rape in the title will generally be moved.
Word games - "____ the Avatar above you" threads and other words games used to exist in this forum...but now there is a Whole Forum dedicated to just words games, so they don't need to be here. The only exceptions are The Avatar Above You thread and Mizuiro's Sticky.
Quests/begging/Transactions - These were never allowed here, and will be moved. In fact, any thread that has to deal with the buying, selling and or trading of items and services will be moved to the appropriate forums. Contests are the exception.
Off topic HOTs - Hang Out Threads or threads which are created in AT to serve as places for friends to meet and chat about nothing AT related. You can make a thread with friends, but it needs to be AT relevant. Your thread may be moved if a mod sees it as not AT relevant enough. With the addition of Guilds, there should be little need for everyone to have their own clubhouse. Larger thread's of course may be off topic from time to time, this is normal, but the main purpose of the thread should serve the Avatar Forum, and not your groupies.
Regular Centric Posts - These are threads that users, who consider themselves regulars, about them selves or their groups. These tend to be exclusive and strengthen the existing tension between new and older ATers. Making Rate me threads on your birthday is acceptable, but making a thread about your birthday with Rate me stamped on the bottom is not. Use your own discretion about annocing your arrival or departure from the forum/gaia. We'll be using ours.
