Any discipline takes balance. Due to the saddle, the English discipline tends to show whether you actually have balance/an independant seat. Yep, it can be a real ego killer! XD

It's mean, but I can't help laughing when all these bling-bling Western folks ride in an English saddle and start complaining how it's the horse/saddle/lack of horn that is making them 'ride bad'. whee

It truely does take ALOT of balance. Which isn't that hard to get. All I do to practice is walk on a straight line or balace on the head rest of my bed.

I ride Western but I still need to try English, if it makes me sore I don't care cuz soreness rocks!^^

no, i just see horses wearing them. like when a horse is turned out, it has leg wraps, but why can't you use galloping boots? and when a horse is being ridden, sometimes i see them with galloping boots, or leg wraps....whats the difference?
