Yeah..I'm afraid, I mean, REALLY REALLY afraid my friend will leave Gaia. We've known each other One Winged Irken and I, for about a year, we're best friends. He's been coming on later and later, talking about being on MSN more and more. He also said 'if he didn't come back' anyone who has MSN should add him. I'm SCARED to death, what if that mean he's NOT going to come back?
I also can't get MSN. My computer's been a little idiotic lately, crashing and dumping memory..and with it now vulnerable to viruses..
I don't know for sure if he is, I infer he might. TwilightKitten, Nero Laser Android and I are really scared, and would like a little calmness..a word of advice or comfort maybe?

You're right, it sounds like he might not stick around much, if at all. I am not sure why that would be so scary, however. Perhaps there is more to the story than I know.
If he wants to go, that is certainly his choice. If his friendship with you and any other Gaians means enough to him, then he will get on to check in with you all.
It sounds harsh, but if he does not get on to check in with everyone, maybe he just does not feel as strongly as you do. Some people put a lot of emotion into online friendships, while others put in very little. Either way, it does not sound like something that you should be "scared to death" of. Most friendships do not last forever, even if we want them to. We can't force people to stay and be our friends.
I would just let him know that you can't get MSN but will be here to talk to if he should want you. Whether he chooses to continue the friendship or not is up to him.

Have you asked him why he hasn't been around as much? Because it is the time of year for major tests and so on. Maybe he's been cramming for them. Or maybe he's had some family issues. If I were you though, I would get his e-mail address, and contact him through that if all else fails. And if you have a windows system, and not a MAC, then you have msn already installed. It's called windows messenger. You could sign up through hotmail, and just use that, or get the newer version of yahoo, you can talk to people with msn on that as well. There's always an alternative way to talking to someone. Good luck! If you need anything else, feel free to PM me.

There is a chance he might not come on Gaia, but you just have to find a way to get on MSN, I guess. >__o Try reformatting your computer, and get virus protection.
If you can't afford anything, I have some nice freeware I could share.
Here: Virus Protection http://free.grisoft.com/doc/avg-anti-virus-free/lng/us/tpl/v5 Spybot - Search and Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/
I'm a total nerd, and these are what I use. Spybot is THE best anti-spyware program, and AVG is a good anti-virus. Norton Antivirus SUCKS btw, and don't use it, if you can. I swear, it does more harm than good. As for CCleaner, it really, really helps save space on your computer. It erases alot of the unneeded files on your computer and stuff, and is safe to use. :]
I suggest using all of them, if you can. <3

So old! Go to the microsoft website, go to downloads, and get Defender for windows. It'll work along with the stuff Laeluu posted up. It's like a mix of a firewall and an antivirus.
Also if you go to the Mozilla/firefox website you can download thunderbird, an email client that scans through your email and marks things as spam, and learns from the things you mark as spam and marks them next time before you do.
The firefox browser is safer than explorer as well, but another good browser is opera.
