I believe this topic is stereotypical in of itself considering it is the "religious reaction to stereotypical bander" though I believe he may have meant to say "banter" and not "bander."

Now, let's break this down. Who here is deeply religious enough to use their own religion as reason to formulate a reaction on stereotypical banter when in reality, they should probably be using their own personal opinions that they learned from experience?

On that note, I shall say this: my personal opinion on stereotypes is that one should not always believe the general perception that is "confirmed" by norms of society and that one should formulate opinions about individuals instead of GROUPS of individuals. One person may act similar to another, but that does not mean that they are complete the same in personality nor in action.

That is my personal opinion...but my religious opinion is that stereotypes are nothing more than ways to classify sub-groups of society that are overgeneralized and not based on reality. Some say goths and emos are deviants of society...and you would be correct in that they DEVIATE from the norms of society, but yet, may not be criminal deviants. If one has honor and loyalty, virtue and righteousness, who cares about what stereotypical group that they fit into? The individual in question may be good or bad, but a bad one will shape your idea of what that group in general is like just like a good one will, but those in power let their personal views cloud the public and thus make certain groups out to be bad.

In closing, the idea of stereotypes....in simple and shortened terms....SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In response to Chris's rant, I have just one thing to say... Yes, Chris, I know where you live.
