In the episode "Parent Teacher Night", they show how Zim is born. He is in a room filled with baby pods. They all could be clones or something else. Is that how babies are taken care of? Could this place be where they're sent after they are born? I think they are born on Planet Irk (just an assumption) Here is the birthing process:

The smeets seem to be clones, but there must be some sort of system that randomizes DNA so that everyone is different. I'm thinking that perhaps, like with the I.D. PAKs and their knowledge, some DNA of past IRKens (and some DNA would have to be from a tallest, to make another tallest, of course!) is used in making a smeet. Creepy, eh?

Edit - Also, me and my friend have a theory on what exactly they are incubated in...she thinks it's formaldehyde, I object, but have no other thing...what say everyone else? Maybe it's just water >_>

I think they are a mixture of genetic engineiring and cloning.

well i have a theroy i think think that the place shown in the "Parent Teacher Night" episode was like the nursery planet since the mighty irk empire gives one duty to a planet. exaple: foodcourtia is a food court planet. and this planet is where the smeets are sent after they are born/created. onece they mature then they are taken out and given their pacts and are sent to do there duties for the all mighty talest!!!!

I combine most everyones theories together x] Yes, that's my theory.

And I do like the idea of there being a whole planet just for Smeet! razz I wonder what it's called~

I think they cloning but then once they have it to the fetus (or whatever an immature smeet is called) then they put them in the pods to grow until ready to be born

but I also like the Planet Smeet Theory that would be sooo cool I would go there on vacation to see the smeets lol! xd 4laugh

The genetics would have to be thru cloning...although most of the time clones are exactly alike. So that means that the dna is some how scrambled a bit. But yes i have to agree on one comment. The dna is more than likely taken from the tallest.
