I don't really agree much with number 7. A car would be much, much safer then a bike or motorbike.

A car would be much, much safer then a bike or motorbike. yeah, probably, but you can run out of gas, you can't carry it when the terrain gets bad, and a bike is ok if the zombies can only walk, if they can run, maybe not, cause zombies never tire. But a motorbike uses a lot less gas, and gets further on a few gallons, which might be all you have. Sure you can get 50 miles in a car in an hour, but when you run out of gas, look around, and now not only do you have zombies everywhere, you have no transportation, and no familiarity with the spot, you might just be zombie food.

horses would kinda be great, they eat, instead of gas, you can always find grass, which since its a virus its going to go for specific things, probably not grass. Also horses don't break down as easy. Although they could get sick, or run away, or anything, so really its only if you are an excellent horse rider. right.. thats practically .5 % of the US. haha. Best stick with the bikes.

Ever read Cell by Stephen King? This is why I say it, if only a quarter of americans instantly turn zombie, you know how many cars are going to be abandoned??? MILLIONS. Grab you a Jeep, drive 'till your out of gas, then either shyphon more or grab a Hummer. Pretty simple. Anything off road would be great, and once you find one you like you just keep it. Gas hauling semis would also be just sitting there. Of 'course, this only works at the beginning of the invasion.

but the thing with cars is that though there will be many there is nothing to say a zombie cannot remember how to drive, someone who knew how to drive really well would have it ingrained into their habits and so would probably be able to drive too

malekith_seraphon but the thing with cars is that though there will be many there is nothing to say a zombie cannot remember how to drive, someone who knew how to drive really well would have it ingrained into their habits and so would probably be able to drive too possibly, but if a zombie learns to drive, or remembers, then surely they remember to do other things too. And when a zombie thinks or remembers, and has the capacity to infect, thatis when we are all doomed.

Wait, animals are supposed to be infected too. Example: zombie dogs, zombie birds, zombie horses....so....if you've got pets, dispose of them immediately when an invasion starts.
I kind of agree with vtorn. Cars would be everywhere at the beginning.
I don't recommend travelling through water. There maybe some infected monster down there......which I'm sure I wouldn't want to know....

I'm not so sure that animals would get infected, not all anway. Although there are some viruses that can be passed from animals to human and vice versa, most are kept within their species. But, who knows...

But I virus can't really make it that long outside of a living host. If it could, we'd all be doomed :p according to max brookes the virus wouldn't be airborn or seaborn, kind of like rabies, just bite. When you think about it its a lot like rabies. Makes them want to bite things. After that... bite something else. Its their goal. Anyway, I doubt waterborn, but maybe air born.

First off, I still want to borrow that book.
I'm surprised no one has suggested helicopters. o.o I mean the only thing that would be able to get you would be zombie birds.
Yeah, yeah, I know it isn't the best, isn't fuel efficient and you'd have to 'learn how to pilot' and all that.
I suggest we all learn how to fly before the invasion starts. ninja Because I've never flown...

And I just recently had this thought!
I imagine the guy taking the zombie apocolypse seriously. Like he's really crazy but no one believes him because it'd never happen.
