Hiragana is one of Japanese writing. also Katakana and Kanji.

Okay. So the little pictures are what the symbol is right?
So, do you just have to memorise symbols, or is there something else I'm not seeing?

they're more difficult than katakana...

All I know is how to write my name and how to say a couple random words......words I learned from Anime so I think you knwo what kind of words they are... sweatdrop
