Fronted by Live Kristine, Leaves Eyes uses folk elements into their music. Lovelorn was their first album. It is an okay album through and through, howevere if you play the album too much it gets irritating and annoying. I overplayed Lovelorn when i forst got into Goth metal and i still can't bring myself to buy anymore music done by them.

They aren't bad. By far not the best. Liv's voice drives me insane, I must admit.

A voice that is too sweet = Liv. Her actual singing is fantastic (see Ocean's Way), but hot damn, most of the time, it's suicide.

[DeadInside] A voice that is too sweet = Liv. Her actual singing is fantastic (see Ocean's Way), but hot damn, most of the time, it's suicide. Thats was an awesome post. I use to like Loverlorn but now its just a little cheesy. She just tries to hard to be all high and stuff...she tries to be typical goth metal.

She should have stayed with Theatre of Tragedy. I don't really care for Leaves Eyes.

My Hollow What's wrong with Vikings? Nothing at at all. Vikings are pretty cool, actually. I just tend to enjoy music that I can relate to. I'm sure not a flamboyant bearded man that is setting sail on a voyage..

Leaves' Eyes was good when I started listening to them, but I think I overplayed them, because now I can't stand them. D:

I have Vinland Saga. I like the ballads from that album the most. Leaves Eyes is my fav ballad of theirs. The metal part of the album is, well, nothing special. The clean vocals are good. A nice album

Liv's vocal style has always been somewhat annoying for me. She's not a horrible vocalist, however she's too poppy for my style.
Needless to say they aren't a bad band. Pretty cream of the crop for the genre IMO.
