Everyone says that Luke restored the balance to the force, I disagree. Annikan was the one that did it. Even though he died he did kill the emporer and restored the balance, so before you say that Luke is the one, think about what Annikan did.

sure The one with teh ghost hand will bring balance to teh force Luke was getting his butt electrocuted and Vader killed the emperor So of course
But heres teh thing teh force is everything, so it must have a dark and a light. so wouldn't eliminating teh dark side bring an unbalance

You bring up a valid point. But I believe in the books there was still the dark side, it just wasn't taking everything over. But still, good point you bring up.

I've always thought of it as being Ankain.
If you think about it the force is immortal, that is, it is patient. The dark side had been gaining control ever since Darth Bane, it gained with palpy, and the Annakin brought balance and then.... Well, then I suspect in thousands of years it will tip again, and be saved in a big, never ending circle.

Another valid idea there. I agree with you. Time will just repeat over and over again basically.

Rip out my heart again You bring up a valid point. But I believe in the books there was still the dark side, it just wasn't taking everything over. But still, good point you bring up. dude the prophecy was to bring ballance to the force not abolish the dark side

well u may think i'm crazy but Darth Plagus was the one that brought the force in to balence. but before u say anything about me being nuts listen: my friends at school and i were talking on this same subject yesterday and our theory was this: if Darth Plagus was the one that " infuenced",Aniken's burth, then that would mean that Plegus was the one that brought balence to the Force. I'm Not Crazy!

interesting...it makes sense that he effected Anakin, but I don't think he brought balance to the force, but that new book will explain all. I think Lucas wouldn't change what the movies are saying in the expanded universe. But who knows? blaugh very interesting....did u guys ever read the making of Revenge of the Sith? Lucas almost made palp anakin's dad! That would make palpy lukes grandfather! I almost died laughing when I read that.

Heres the thing ... The Jedi were eliminating the dark side thus bringing an imbalance. Anakin was born (our lil' star wars Jesus) and he brought balance to the force by going to the dark side. Then Palpatine used him and brought it too far to the dark side, so then we bring in Luke. Which brought Vader back and evened things out.
Also people ... Anakin had no father ... it was the force ... so lets leave it at that.
