PART I

Waking up, the Alixcis looks out his window. Her gaze blurry, she believes she sees a girl walking down the cobblestone, snowy pathway of the city, toward his home, her home an inn of sorts, at the edge of the town. Her home was once a farm home, but is now fixed up with extra rooms. The small pine trees, dropping snow under the heavy weight, are the only obstruction in his view. She rises quickly, replacing the sheets in the manner which she was taught. She hurries to dress herself, to look presentable for company. Rushing down the stairs, she realizes she has forgotten her under shirt, but decides it doesn’t matter, and continues to hurry down the wood plank stairs. Her time was remarkable; the door opens, and in comes a girl, almost as tall as herself, steps in. Shaking off the snow, and looking for the inn keep, she finds herself looking at Alixcis. Alixcis, is manly compared to most girls her age, she is greets her with her unforgettable smile and a soft bow of her head.
“Hello… umm are you the um… inn keep?” the girl asks almost timid sounding.
“Aai, I am the inn kip’s daughter, he is sleepin’ right now,” Alixcis bows in apology, “may I help ye’h?”
“Um do you have a spare room, I don’t much money, and I have no place to go.” The girl says, speaking quietly, as though to not awaken Alixcis’ father
“Ne’h we don’t, I’m sorry….,” seeing the girl’s despair Alixcis’ speaks in a whisper, “ye’h welcome to sleep with me’h room if ye’h doesn’t min’ sleepin’ with me’h in me’h bed.”
At that suggestion, the girls eyes widen, then her face seems to grow flush as she responds, “ I do appreciate the offer, and I find it most kind, thank you” her words seem to soften as she speaks, her eyes falling to the floor.
“Aai, well fallow me them will ye’h”, Alixcis walks up the stairs again, not running so the girl can keep close to her, “where ye’h from if ye’h don’t min’ me askin’ ye’h?”
The girl not far being Alixcis says, “I do not remember, I fell terribly ill a while ago, and I just now am able to return to my travels.” The girl’s eyes look cold for a moment, as she responds, “not many people are kind enough to take in a stranger, and I am surprised to find you so trusting.”
Alixcis turns around looking at the girl, having her run right into her. Alixcis gives her a big fang grin, “Aai, most don’t travel far to come to an Anthro’s inn, nor dare set foot in it.”
The girl’s eyes grown big, “A…a… Anthro’s inn?” her step failing to find the step, she begins to fall backwards.
Alixcis speedy as she is stops her from falling, by grabbing her and holding her close to her body, the girls scent inflames her nostrils, the words softer than before, “Aai, I mean you no harm m’lady” standing her before her on the stairway.
The girl standing almost paralyzed inn shock, manages to speak a few words audible, “I… thank… you, uh… um.”
Looking at her with soft eyes, Alixcis stands up straight and continues to her room. Once at the room to her door, she unlocks it. They walk in together, the girl in front. The room is small, but bigger than most. The majority of the space in the room was being taking up by the bed, and the table in the corner. The closet across from the bed was practically empty, aside from the boxes filling most of the bottom. The walls were made of wood, covered with a paneling made of cedar. Over all the room was cozy looking.
“Your room looks very nice, umm,” Alixcis interrupted her,” Alixcis, my name is Alixcis… I forgot to mention to that earlier. Call me Alix though” The girl continued, “Um yeah, your room looks very cozy Alixcis, I appreciate this very much.”
Nodding to acknowledge the compliment, Alixcis looked around, “What’s your name, that way I don’t just yell HEY YOU all the time.”
“Me, umm… my name is Sa… Sabrina ma’am” she said stuttering every word.
Alixcis thought she was threatening her in some way, or at least scaring her. She went to the door and closed it slowly. While keeping her hand on the doorknob for a few long moments, Sabrina walked around the small cozy room. She looked around the room, looked at the twin size bed, and the foggy crystallized window. She went over to the window, and drew a symbol in the crystallized moisture on the window. Looking at the fog re form on the glass, she sighed “Have you ever seen anything more beautiful,” her voice seeming very distant in her throat.
Alixcis turned from the door, very slowly, her eyes scanned the room. She set her vision to the glass; the symbol she saw was one she was familiar with. It was Kiden protection symbol, only high priests or priestess knew what the symbols. Her vision went past the frosted mist glass into the path; seeing the winter flower blooming, the children of the corsetiere prancing around in the field. The snow was catching on the window ceil, making the glass’ visibility exceedingly difficult to see out of. Sabrina turned finally to look at Alixcis; her eyes were clearly visible now. She came over to Alixcis, “come look you can see the kitten, they are so adorable looking” Sabrina’s voice was so sweet thought Alixcis as she walked to the window. Alixcis saw no kitten, she saw her father walking toward the inn.
“We need to get down stairs my father is coming, we will have to greet him.” Alixcis words were rushed she was trying to walk as quickly as she could to get down the stairs, ”Just say yes sir or no sir if he asks you any questions, I’ll speak for you, just think the answer okay?”
Sabrina nodded; she was frightened, Alixcis could tell, with good reason. Her father could kill her in an instant. Her father was a nice man however, so it was a very unlikely event. She was still worried that Sabrina would mess up, “I can read willing thoughts, and I just need to tell you that now, don’t think it unless you want me to also have it in my mind. Please trust me on this don’t doubt me, or my father will surely get upset. We are going to lie to him, you have been my friend for years, and you came for a visit from where ever you think to me you are from okay?”
Sabrina eyes widened when Alixcis told her about her ability, but she didn’t say a word. She only nodded and took the last step off the stair way, in time. “Be willing to let me read your thoughts, please” Alixcis almost pleaded.
“Welcome home father! How has your travels been? Are you tired; your room is ready if you’d like to lie down?” Alixcis voice was soft and sweet, Sabrina thought that maybe she was only like that toward her father. She would only realize later that it was her she was being sweet for.
“Aai, daughter, I am tired,” her father spoke, but the man’s voice was kind, but bitterness was also in his words, Sabrina could not help but think that maybe it was her presence that caused the bitter tone. She bowed her head in welcome and in thanks. Her already willingness to show the man respect made his eyes glisten with emotion and questions. Though he did not question her directly, “Who is this daughter; she is not one of the usual patrons we have stay here.”
“This father: is my friend Sabrina Rochester from the far east,” Alixcis spoke very quickly as she read the thoughts from her bowing comrade, “she is here to stay with me in my room, so that the other patrons do not get suspicious or question her directly thinking she may be witched.”
“Aai,” was the only word that came from her father’s mouth before he began to change into his Antho form.
Within moments the human cloths were on the floor in shreds, fur flowed from every inch of the once man, now werewolf body. The sound of bones cracking, shifting, changing, would have made it very difficult to just stand there and listen to. Sabrina not even flinched, as she stood still bowing, Alixcis wondered if she were in shook or frozen by some unseen force. Once the wolf mans body was full changed, he growled lowly, “You need not bow, now, Sabrina,” his teeth shining in the early morning light. Sabrina in reaction, raised her head and nodded, but kept her eyes to the ground. She was frightened Alixcis could sense it; surely her father felt it as well, as he walked up the stairway toward his room. He turned with a quick glance to Sabrina then to Alixcis. He gave them the softest smile Alixcis had ever seen.

PART II

The Things That Can Be Revealed

Five years ago, that fateful day happened, the meeting of two close friends. Their fate was intertwined, their souls connected. What she felt, the other one felt it if not as strong. Seemingly they were perfect friends, though the differences did strain them a bit at times. Having so many the only ones that ever seemed to strain their bound was; Alixcis being as she was, a mixed breed; neko and succubus, Sabrina, the lust daughter of 2 grand rulers, whom could not admit their offspring to anyone, she was pure human. These differences were not the bad ones. They kept the people of the village from fighting, seeing these two completely different young girls being best of friends. Having never seen the richer side of things Alixcis thought Sabrina, a snob; and on the contrary Sabrina being from royalty seen Alixcis as a slob, but they loved each other indifferent. Being somewhat pushed into meeting, they felt as though they belonged together. And so did the people who saw them together. Within the months following there meeting, Alixcis and Sabrina, both grew in ways neither of them knew they could. Alixcis began to open her mind the things that could be instead of always thinking of what seemed to be the only way. Sabrina learned that she had to trust people, even when there seemed to be no one she could trust. They learned those things from each other.
Seeing how Alixcis had never been out of her own comfort zone, it was kind of frightening to Sabrina when she was. Taking out of consideration, neither of them were trained fighters, mages or any other form of trade or profession, though no one knew of Sabrina hiding the mage within her mind, they did odd ends and jobs for the money they saved. Alixcis father soon began calling Sabrina daughter and calling Alixcis one as well. The respect the two gained through doing their jobs well and to the end was enormous, sometimes it even paid more. Before to long however, the war Sabrina was running from slowly began to creep its disgusting hand into their happy, little town. Fewer and fewer people were travel out that far, because of the raids and the unwelcome scent of death, Sabrina had not noticed it, but the villagers did, the scent of pending destruction was in the air, and no one could do anything about it. Soon the villagers began training, staffs, pitchforks, or anything they could get their hands on. Before to long, new comers began traveling through the village, stopping at the inn only to speak with Raquel, Alixcis’ father and Sabrina’s protector. They told him of the battles they seen on their adventure, how he must leave the village, it is no longer save. Alixcis could not understand why everyone was so worried about her father; all she knew of his past was what her mother told her on her death bed, the stories the other villagers told her and the whispers that her father told her with his mind.
To many of the villagers, Alixcis had never given away to much information about herself. They knew she was her father’s daughter, just by the look of her body, her face structure. Her face looking like it was of noble descent, her jaw line strong for a woman, her long jet black hair which makes her crystal blue eyes shoot out and catch your attention. Her skin was silky white, just like her mothers, one thing she did inherit from her was her beautiful voice. No one in the village had figured out that the night singer was Alixcis on her roof, singing away her despair. She seemed to never mind the fact no boy ever came to court her, no girls ever came to invite her along to help them make baskets. She had never really been the normal child.
Sabrina was the newcomer, everyone stayed as far from her as possible without making it obvious. She had been the opposite of Alixcis in more ways than one. Her face was of the most feminine features; her long blond hair was always in a bun a top her head. Her body was frail and looked as though it could be easily broken. Though her body was not the strongest, her mind was far past any of the villagers. She had never been to work on a farm, she had been in school most of her life, longer than any other typical girl.
No one in the village understood how the two most different girls could be best of friends. No matter what happened between them they returned to each other with open arms and tearful eyes, though Alixcis denied any tears were shed on her part. When the rumors and strangers began coming into town, everyone was weary of each other, no one really trusted one another, seeing these things happening Sabrina and Alixcis stayed in the Inn most of the days, not taking their walks as usual. Father came in one day very unhappy; he glared at them both as he walked up into his room and stayed in there till minutes before dinner. Alixcis had fixed his favorite meal, hoping that might cheer him up a bit. While they sat at the table awaiting father, Sabrina asked Alixcis a very off the wall question, “Do you like me?”
Looking at her as if she were stupid, “No I don’t like you at all Sabrina, not one bit, although I find it the best feeling to have you sleeping with me in my room every night., no I hate you” her words were sarcastic, but when she smiled Sabrina knew that she had been kidding.
“I was just thinking that maybe the only reason you put up with me, is because you are never invited to do other things with those other girls,” Her words seemed to seep tears, as she spoke.
Her eyes changing from a playful looking blue to an almost fire red, “I hate those other girls, you are my friend, and that is what you’ll stay. I have not willingly given my loyalty to you but you have all of it now.” She smiled this time an authentic smile; she didn’t want her friend to take that in the wrong way.
“Do you want to go for a walk tonight; we haven’t done that in a long time, it might be nice. We could invite father it might cheer him up a bit” being worried herself, Alixcis nodded to Sabrina’s suggestion,
“I do not believe that would be such a good idea.” Father’s voice was booming inside of their heads. His eyes were stone cold as he walked into the dining room. His face was hot, sweat dripped down off his eyebrow. He smelled of obvious body odor. On his left cheek was a gash, not any ordinary gash, but claw gashes. Alixcis knew right away that another Anthro had been fighting with her father. She knew not to ask, he’d tell her in time. Sabrina, too scared to look up, kept her head low and her eyes on her friend.
“I know that Alixcis has told you very little of the Anthro way, because of respect for me, and herself. But I believe it is time for you to understand a little more about our ways. I am protector of Alixcis and you. I am beginning to age and within sometime, I maybe killed. The one whom kills me or allows me to live, but am exiled to life of an old man, will become your protector. I have no found one Anthro whom can defeat me, yet I am growing old. Alixcis has taken you in as her responsibility and in doing so; she has become your protector, in our way,” he spoke not missing a beat; you could barely hear him breathe as he spoke, “with her taking you under her paw, she has given her life to you. Everything you do together just strengthens the bond she feels for you. Not only does she care for you, she loves you.”
Alixcis looked at her father in a way, which just seemed to plead not to say anything else. Sabrina’s head arose, she looked first at father, then to Alixcis; her cheeks were flushed and her voice when she did speak was almost fairy like, “…she loves me?”
“Very much so, not in the way a friend might. She has done a good job at hiding it from you and everyone else, but she has good reason to hide it. She doesn’t want anyone to use it against her, if something were to happen. I understand the feeling she feels, because it happened to me all to well. My wife, her mother, was killed because I was too foolish to show the feelings I had for her. I was a proud man. To proud then, I was not able to protect her, the way I protect you both now.” His voice lowed to almost a whisper till it was inaudible. “Protect her with all yourself heart Alixcis, she will mean more to you than you will ever know.”
Alixcis wondered if he had aloud Sabrina to hear that last comment, but she shrugged it off, and began to eat. Sabrina was very silent that night. After dinner, the girls went to Alixcis’ room and stood there for a long time, just staring at each other.
“I don’t know what to say,” Sabrina finally spoke; her words were quiet and kind.
Alixcis shrugged and began to arrange the room to be so that they would not be sleeping in the same bed any longer. Sabrina caught on to that, and stopped her, she came behind her and grabbed her arms softly, “I want to sleep next to you, no where else!”
The candle went out that night long before usual. They spoke for hours, in each others arms. That night they knew they knew their lives had changed and they would have to protect each other for the rest of their lives. In the morning they both hoped to awake still in each others arms.

Part III

Over Take Your Self

A few years went by; father grew weaker and weaker; before to long Alixcis had to over take the Inn. No one had seen a women run the inn, since her mother’s death. Alixcis began to take over all her fathers’ responsibilities, his debts and his pride. He began to lose control of his emotions and wept in public, he was slowly losing his mind. The thoughts he projected to his daughter and her friend were mostly happy. Then on the day of Alixcis’ 21st birthday, her fathers last words, pled forgiveness; he had let her down, let her mother down. ”You have made me proud farther, nothing you have ever done has let me down, I love you daddy” She wept as she thought those words, it had been almost 15 years since she could bring herself to calling him daddy. She knew he had died moments after he said the last words, “Protect her, daughter protect her… love her the way I loved your mother, and… you”
The months that followed were very difficult for Alixcis; she never thought she could lose her father. Sabrina and she became very close, even closer than anyone ever expected. Alixcis over took every job her father did, and surprisingly she did what he did, in less time than it would have took him. Before to long, she was finishing the work in minutes. Everything that had once brought her happiness didn’t matter. Sabrina was the only person who could even make her laugh. The friendship was keeping her living.
The Anthro world was shocked to hear of Alixcis’ father’s death, there were family friends and random strangers that stopped by to pay their respects. She knew that before to long, however, that someone would come to try and take over his place in the village, and as part of her father’s jobs, it was now hers to deal with the trouble makers. She was always stronger than the village boys, but she doubted very deeply if she were very much stronger than anyone who was not from around the village. She’d never had to fight, but her father’s disposition and quickening illness had caused her to learn the way of sword, staff and missile. Of all the weapons she learned to use, Sabrina taught her the most useful weapon, the use of her mind. Alixcis was not a dim wit, but when it came to things of a high thinking matter, she would get confused easily and something would end up going wrong.
Sabrina knew that her mind could not be what would protect her now. She learned how to hold a staff and defend herself behind shields and the use daggers. She was very stealthy, but her mind still out ranged all of her other skills. It was always an even trade off, Alixcis taught Sabrina, and vice versa. In time they began to wonder if anyone would come, but they had been correct in their suppressions. Although, they had not expected it to be Alixcis’ brother.

PART IIII

Unusually Easy Victory

It had been years since Alixcis had seen anyone else in her family. The death of her mother caused such a ripple in the family line, that many did not even consider her apart of it. Many of the line had even forgotten that it was her, own, father who had saved their sorry asses from being haunted down and slaughtered. Alixcis knew she would never be ready or even willing to give into anyone who wanted to over take her fathers estate and place in the village. She felt it was her responsibility to live out him and keep his way alive.
Sabrina was out in the yard tending to some of the flowers and herbs she had been growing, when a dirty spiked boot, stepped into the ground she was working. Raising her gaze, she met a man she had never seen before; a scar on his right arm, twisting from his outer shoulder to his inner wrist, a blood covered helden hide vest, his face resublimed that of Alixcis, but more of her father. She wasn’t sure this man was but she knew he must have been family.
“Sir, please remove her boot from my Veslnet, before you don’t have a foot to wear the boot on” Sabrina spoke so loudly, Alixcis heard her from the store down the street. Sabrina stood, much shorter than the strongly built young man, but looked at him with her eyes, stoned faced and firmly ready to kick his a** if he didn’t move.
In response to her warning her laughed, and pressed firmly down into the ground. He must have been an idiot, Veslnet was one of the only herbs you NEVER want to miss treat. The plants roots sprouted from the ground and wrapped around his’s right leg. He yelped out of surprise, he fought back and as he did Sabrina kicked him in the groin. Alixcis came running up the street, and grabbed her brother’s head from behind and held it tightly in her paws.
“Do you not know how to treat a lady, I thought father taught you better than this”
Her words were soft, so that the Veslnet did not attack her as well Sabrina looked on backing away slowly.
“He can’t teach us both our places, b***h, apparently he isn’t a great teacher, apparently, you hadn’t learned your place either. You are a woman.” His response was more like a hiss than words, his jaw was being held to tightly for him to speak full words.
Sabrina bust out the loudest laugh she had ever allowed herself to. The Veslnet re-rooted its self, and Sabrina stretched her arms, trying to act tough, she then kicked him, hard, in the groin. He fell to his knees; his left hand grabbing his balls, his other holding his torso up, Alixcis still had her hands on his head. Sabrina spoke so tough she was surprised she had the gut to sound the way she did, ”She doesn’t need to learn her place; her place is here, keeping her fathers way alive.”
“His way is old, and needs to be buried with his...” he threw Alixcis off his body, right into Sabrina, “body! And if I have to I will kill my own family to make that seen.”
Sabrina whispered to Alixcis, “Take him out, knees first” Standing Alixcis eyed his elbows, he grinned, “don’t even try and attack me sister, you are far smarter than that.”
He howled, as his cloths were ripping, as his wolf form came to life. Alixcis was within moment the same way, and slashing at his face. He roared as he went straight for Sabrina. Sabrina dodged his charge and retaliated with a swift hit of her oak staff to his forehead. He fell to the ground dazed for a moment, and with in the moment, Alixcis was on his back, biting his neck, her teeth were deep in his throat. He would have to either give up or die trying to pry her from his body, her claws on the back of his elbows, her hind paws holding his knees down, claws in his hind thigh mussels. Blood was pouring out on the grass as her bite got tighter, and her claws deeper
He had not expected his sister to be so ready, and not even expecting her friend to be so advanced in Anthro abilities. “I won’t allow you to over power me,” he growled almost too weak to be heard, as he tried fought his sisters strength.
“You don’t have to allow me, I am going to either way,” her words weren’t spoken, they were a thought, and as she thought, Sabrina spoke them. Within a few moments, he brothers blood stopped flowing, Alixcis with drew her claws and she bit his neck clean threw, her fathers trade mark of sorts. The blood dripping from her muzzle was a little to much for Sabrina to watch, she closed her eyes as Alixcis changed back, and wiped it off her lips. The body of her brother was oddly arousing to Alixcis. Either the use of power or the adrenaline of defeating him, gave her a sensation of arousal. It wasn’t a feeling she was used to either. She hoped nothing would make it go away. She wiped the blood from her mouth, and walked toward the back of the inn. Her naked body exposed to the world was a little more than she liked. Sabrina though slightly sickened at the site of her protector ripping the neck off of someone came up behind her and held her tightly.
Alixcis stopped as the touch of her friend, froze her. She stood there for moment melting into the feeling, after a few moments of taking it in, they walked to their room.

PART IV --- Kind Of Adult-ish...

A Friends Touch

A week for had pasted after her brothers blood had touched her lips, and for that week she had an un-usually high drive to mate. Most of the time she was alone, she was trying to relieve the urge. And for every time that week she would get so close to the peak and she would either get called to help with something or Sabrina would come in the room she was in. And every night as Sabrina’s body was against hers, in their bed, she would get an even stronger feeling to just let herself do it.
The next week, it hadn’t went away, she asked Sabrina to tell anyone who needed help, that she was feeling ill and wouldn’t be able to this week. Sabrina was worried, but kept her distance. Alixcis was worried Sabrina thought she was a monster, and all the while she was trying to rid herself of the urges she thought of Sabrina. Oddly enough, if the urges got stronger each time she was near Sabrina. Had Sabrina known this she might have responded in some odd ways, not willing to stay in the same room, or even wanting to leave. One night Alixcis couldn’t keep herself from telling Sabrina any longer.
“Sabrina, I need to speak with you.” Alixcis’ words were just mere whispers in Sabrina’s mind. Sabrina came into the room, Alixcis was in, and stood in the door way, as Alixcis spoke, “I don’t know what is wrong with me, you are the more intelligent one of us, and I have been getting worse.” Alixcis jaw was quivering as she spoke; her friend wouldn’t come near her though. “I have been having urges to mate with you and I don’t know why, I have never had these types before, and they are getting worse.” Her hands were over her face now, as she sat on the bed, whimpering. As Sabrina heard those words, her feet begged her to go to her friend and help her, but her mind was forcing her back, not letting her move. She wanted to just let her body go to her, but she couldn’t.
Sabrina left that evening and didn’t come home till late the next day. She had gone for a very long walk, nothing had really changed, and Alixcis was still in her room, whimpering but now she was crying. Once she rolled over she saw Sabrina standing in the doorway. She looked at her as she sat up, she begged with her eyes for her to come near her. Sabrina walked over to her, and pushed her to her back and climbed on top of her. She laid her head on her friend chest. She pressed her body against hers and looked into Alix’s eyes and pleaded with her thoughts, “I am sorry I left you yesterday, I wasn’t sure what to think or say or do. Please forgive me.”
Alixcis eyes turned from a very dark blue, to a shade very indescribable. She took her arms and wrapped them around her friend. She had forgiven her from the sight of her return. Sabrina was willing to allow Alixcis to mate with her; she knew nothing could get her pregnant, since they both were girls. She didn’t want to admit the day before but she had been wanting it too, her friend touch, the first for either of them.
Sabrina kissed her protector, proving she wanted her as much as she did. Sabrina’s lips against hers, made the urges stronger than ever, and with the scent of her, they couldn’t be controlled any more. That night was full of new experiences for the both of them, and the realization of so many other things.

PART V

Some Words Can’t Describe

With so many new faces in the village from day to day, the inn was becoming more noticed by non Anthro patrons. Within weeks Pagans and Mercenaries were even stepping foot inside of the doors. Many of them were looking for a free place to stay. No one had heard of the inn and thought they could swagger their way in without paying. Alixcis was a firm believer in restitution; if you didn’t pay then you didn’t receive anything. The nights were getting more and more packed, and before to long Sabrina and Alixcis were pulling all niters, trying to keep the order.
It had almost been a week since their experience with each other and they were trying to find ways of not letting it happen again. They both enjoyed being with each other but with the way the inn was being bombarded with patrons no one would approve of their actions.
Soon the patrons were leaving; it was beginning to slow down, they could say more than “quick, get the food cooked” or “where’s the plates”. Only a few patrons were lefts a month later, it was April now, the snow was melting away and the onset of the war was getting more and more apparent. Shortly after the slowing trend of human patrons, an on set of Anthro warriors began showing their faces. Only a few were able to pay for their rooms, the others stayed in the barn. More for the sake of the inn, than their sake, many of them had no problem with it, but one had more than an issue with it.
“I don’t want to sleep in the barn like I am some sort of mangy animal,” this scrawny Anthro, pup barked toward Sabrina, “ I’m not going to be laying down where those mongrels can rip my throat out and no one hear about it for days!”
“I’m sorry, sir, but if you can not pay that is were you will have to stay, or find other shelter. I can not make exceptions, for anyone, I am sorry,” Sabrina said very apologetic.
“BUT YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO I AM,” the pup yelped ,”IF YOU DID YOU’D KNOW BETTER THAN TO TURN ME DOWN!”
“Even if I had, sir, I assure you I’d do the same, If you can not pay, then you need to seek the shelter in the barn or else where,” Sabrina was getting more and more frustrated with this pint sized baby.
He began to growl and his claws grew from his hands, Sabrina noticed, unlike any other human in the inn, “ALIXCIS! GET OUT HERE!” Sabrina’s mind screamed.
Within minutes, Alixcis walked out of the kitchen, looked at the pup and shook her head. She walked to him, gave him a stone cold look, “Change in here and you will not have a head to think with, left.”
She showed her teeth and growled lowly as he glared at her and replied “you have no idea who I am”
“I do know who you are, Jerick, you need to leave, or your head will be those mongrels dinner”
His eyes narrowed to mere slits, he retracted his claws and left, the door slammed behind him. Alixcis looked at Sabrina, smiled and held out her hand, “Go and cook, anymore of those idiots, and I will take care of them alright?”
Sabrina blinked, she had never heard Alixcis mind before, and the only time she had even thought her words to Alix was when her father was alive. Alixcis softly smiled, and said, “I’ll explain later” and hugged her slowly, kissing her cheek, “it’s nothing to worry about.”
Moments later, Sabrina was in the kitchen, blushing so red, she thought she might have had a fever. She had no idea what was happening to her, she knew she hadn’t been bitten or wounded by any Anthros, she wasn’t worried about that. It was just so confusing, the feelings she was having, and the rush of emotion she would have when Alix was near her. Soon she was day dreaming, no one ordered anything the rest of the day, thank goodness, or she wouldn’t have gotten it done. No words could even describe the feelings she was having; nothing had ever made her feel as good as she was at the moment. Nothing had ever made her that happy.
Hours pasted, and before to long the inn was empty of anyone other than the girls. Sabrina walked out of the kitchen, Alixcis stretched, they took a table in the front of the waiting room, and sat down. Alix looked into Sabrina’s eyes as she explained to her more of the Anthro way, “When we did what we did, our mind became one and once that happens you can head my thoughts. I am my father’s child he’s powers are far stronger than mine, he could throw his thoughts to anyone he wished. I have to have close relations, to anyone I wish to do that with. You are the closest relation I have ever had, and I intend on keeping you my closest.”
She spoke slowly, but thoughtful, she tried to explain it in a way that made sense to the both of them. Before to long they were deep into conversation about the Anthro way, soon Sabrina knew the answer to all the questions she had.

PART VI

Holding On To Time

It had almost been a year, the war was still raging and the inn was getting closer and closer to being over ridden with soldiers. Sabrina wasn’t working the front of the inn, many of the patrons thought a woman would just mess things up, Alixcis passed off as man well enough, no one asked questions. Time was passing by so slowly, the spring was already over, but the summer heat was still not there. Sabrina was in their bedroom, when a drunken soldier stumbled in. She was startled but thought nothing of it, after standing she walked to the man and help back to his room. He started to get extremely touchy and grabbed her, he told her if she screamed he would take his dagger and gut her like a fish after having his way with her. She didn’t have to scream, she had already been calling to Alix, who was right behind him now.
“Do you mind taking your hands off of my girlfriend?” Alixcis said coolly, not trying to start a fight.
“She’s your girlfriend, Anthro? I thought your kind only rapped the women who worked for them,” his words pulled at Alix’s urge to rip his heart out and pulverize his face.
Alixcis looked at him with a look of murder, she was about to rip his throat out of his neck. She wanted to grip his skull in her paw and feel it crush under her pads, she wanted to hear her claws against his skull plate, she wanted to kill him like no other. “Let my girlfriend, go,” she said once more, as her muscles began to tense up.
“I will, after I have my way with her pretty little body,” he was behind her now. He pressed his body against Sabrina’s back, his hand in front her grabbing her groin so that she wouldn’t pull away. He licked her cheek, grinning as he took the dagger at her throat, closer, “and there is nothing you can do about it, Anthro. I kill your kind.”
Alix twitched, as Sabrina pleaded for her help. Alix’s teeth grew sharper in her tightly shut mouth. Her muscles began to bulge underneath, her trousers and field shirt. She was ready to kill him. He must have been either extremely drunk or not experienced enough in Anthro abilities, within seconds; Alixcis had his own dagger at his own throat. His eyes grew large, as his arm that was free cracked, Alixcis growled at him as his dagger began to slowly cut his skin, his blood flowed from his neck slowly at first then quicker, and it shimmered from the moon light in the window. Sabrina was on the ground, crying, soon Alixcis was gone with the man’s body; she had given it to the Anthros in the barn. Once Alixcis came to Sabrina to comfort her, she became a leaf, she fell into her arms. Alixcis kissed her forehead; she knew how much that to have frightened her, she held her tightly in her arms. They closed the inn for the night; no one would be getting in. The rest of the night, Alixcis would not leave her side. Howls from the barn, thanked Alix. Sabrina fell to sleep very uneasily, as Alixcis’ mind wondered to her past, she remembered how she swore to her self years ago to protect Sabrina. Though she never thought that she would call Sabrina her girlfriend, Alixcis was holding on to the time they had together as if it were her oxygen. Slowly, Alixcis began to fall asleep as well, her arms wrapped around Sabrina; she wouldn’t let her go that night.

PART VII

Awaken Sweet Angel, Queen of Many

In the morning, Sabrina awoke to Alixcis’ eyes watching her, she smiled as the early morning sun, shone in the room, lighting up her bright Anthro eyes. The night before had frightened her, but after seeing how Alixcis reacted to it, Sabrina felt safe. They rose out of bed, and began to get ready for the day ahead. They put their cloths on, Sabrina fixed her hair and they both walked down the stairs. A lot of emotions had been relieved that night. As they prepared the inn for customers, there presence was being beckoned outside.
Howls soon filled the morning air, cries of pups and female Anthro's followed suit. They seemed to be asking something. When Alixcis looked out her window, she smiled for the first time in a long time, in public. Her wings seemed to ease, and stress you could see was released from her face. Sabrina looked out of the window, puzzled, she ran to Alixcis, worried about something being wrong. She looked to Alixcis for the answer to her question only to receive more confusion.
“Go to out bed room window, look out on to them and smile.”
Sabrina looked out of their window, the Anthros had positioned them self’s under their window, and looked up at them. Sabrina was puzzled but Alixcis knew what was happening, soon she would explain to her friend what was going on.
Alix stood behind her friend, happy, obviously smiling. She whispered into her friend ear, “They would like to become part of our pack,” Alixcis looked out to the many that stayed that night, guarding the inn, “they are asking if you will allow it, seeing as though you are my female and I have given them food as the alpha, they need your answer.”
“I don’t know what to do,” Sabrina was concerned she would do the wrong thing, “I would like them to be here, and they are all so kind.”
Alix smiled, as she nodded to them. Within minutes, the long howl of a lone Anthro filled the air, the pack down below were at attention, but awaited Sabrina’s answer. “Acknowledge their existence; they will know what a simple nod would mean.”
Within seconds of having shared the thought, Sabrina stood up, turned her back to the pack, and walked down stairs, she made her way to the back of the inn, opened the door and the relation of how large they were came into effect. She was frightened, but tried to not let any of them sense it.
Alixcis watched her; she nodded to them all and at once all of them howled. They were all a pack, and all of them wished to protect her. Soon they were all in human form, soldiers, guarder every corner of the inns property. They stood at attention, commanded by their queens. Quickly, their loyalty would be tested. A wave of unforgiven souls would be paying them a visit.

PART VIII

Senseless

A month had gone by since the pack had joined the work load at the inn. Everyone seemed to enjoy spending their time, helping around inn. Before to long the inn was the better half of the town, soldiers were an everyday occurrence. Alix began to grow tired more often then none of the men coming into the inn destroying the wood work, plates and starting fights. Everything seemed to set her off, the stove not burning, the door squeaking or the idiots babble in the bar.
After a week of fighting the urge to kill the idiots, she lost her cool. The poor sap had no idea he pissed off the entire inn workers.
“Thos bas’tur anthros been slout’ren my men, I tell ya dey aren’t worth a spit of the word…” the mans words were cut off but a sharp grip to his throat. Alix had gotten far to mad to hide the fact she was in fact a wolf herself.
“If I hear another word against the Anthro kind, I will slit your neck ear to ear, with one of my fingers…” here eyes were blood red, her teeth almost locked shot as she spoke those words slowly, in a growl, “I don’t want to but if I hear it, I will”
His eyes widened as he swallowed his spit and nodded, and she put him down, turned her back to him and walked toward the back room. He grabbed his knife from his belt and flung it in her direction.
Sabrina threw a plate blocking it shouting, “Now that was uncalled for!”
Turning around, eyes returned to normal, her body throbbing with the want to kill the man. “Unlike you, I have enough guts to look at a man to kill him, aside from that I have enough guts to walk away from an ignorant man,” her words were firm, she again turned her back to the man and walked through the door. The mans gaze faded as he slide back down into his chair. The room soon returned to normal, the man faded back into his meaningless babble about his homeland, how he missed it, how the times had changed and what not.
The day turned to night quickly, Sabrina grew tired, her hands shook with frustration, and her body was trembling with emotion. She went outside, found a place to sit down, and think. Her mind soon went to her past, how senseless everything was back then, and how the time had changed her. She was searching for the reason deep in her mind, that she had fled her own home in search of solitude.
Soon her past was flooding back to her, something she had forced herself to forget, how neglected she had been, the pain she went through to get to where she is today. She wanted to get back what was taken from her, she wanted her world back, but she wanted to take Alixcis with her. She grew so fond of that Anthro girl, she knew she couldn’t do anything by herself and she wasn’t sure if Alixcis would even consider going with her, to regain her dignity, her seemingly senseless title. She wanted her old life back.
“I will go with you Sabrina,” Alixcis’ words shook her from her thoughts.
“But you have so much here, I couldn’t ask you to leave that to go with me,” Sabrina spoke almost in a whisper, “I couldn’t ask you to leave your life, the life we’ve had for 5 years to put mine to rest.”
Alixcis walked to her, wrapped her arms around the small girl, holding her tight, “No one said you have to ask, I am choosing to go with you, I love you with every fiber of my being, I will protect you with every fiber as well,” Alix spoke slowly, letting the meaning sink in, “You won’t have to worry about me if I’m there with you.”

PART VIIII

Times Had Changed So Much

They left the next morning, walking the path the many soldiers had traveled down. The fighting grew closer with every step; Alixcis could smell the blood, from the inn door. A few of the pack followed, more for the fact they needed to feel needed. A few stayed at the inn as instructed, kept it running.
They had one horse, more for supplies than anything else. The farther they traveled from town, the more nervous the girls became. It had been years since Sabrina had traveled outside the safety of the inn let alone the town. Alixcis never left the towns boundaries, due to her being needed at the inn. Just by a simple glance you could see the worry in Sabrina’s eyes, she had no idea what was in store for her and her friends. She had no intention of getting them hurt, but she knew that was going to be unavoidable. Soon they were miles from their home and not sure of which direction to head.
“I don’t know where to go,” admitted Sabrina through a small stream of tears, “it’s been so long since I have been away from the inn, I doubt myself more and more every step.”
Alixcis looked up at her, from her heads passion on her knees. “Why are you so frightened, love?” her words were soothing to the small girl, who was now trembling, “They’re is nothing to fear then fear itself, as soon as you learn to forget fear, nothing will happen, I promise you. Nothing will happen to you.”
If Sabrina had known those words were the key to everything, some things could be avoided, but in time those same things would be the end of everything. The fire in from of Sabrina’s eyes flickered and twisted as it seeped deeper into the wood. The heat grew hotter, the colours darker, and before her eyes, it was no longer a simple fire, it was a blaze. She saw herself being in gulfed in the flames, her body not feeling any pain she held the image there, and for a second she swear she heard Alixcis screaming for her. The image was gone; Alixcis stood there her eyes wider than the moon itself. Sabrina could tell that she was trying to say something but, her throat was choking. The smell of burnt wood in gulfed her nose, she looked around, but the fire wasn’t there.
“What happened,” Sabrina’s voice was as soft as a cricket.
“Yo…. You had the fire in you… your… hands,” Alixcis finally exclaimed, stuttering every word, “You held it, you aren’t even burnt, but you HELD it.”
Looking around, then finally at her own hands, she saw a slight glow to them. Turning them over she found a symbol, one she had never seen before, something like a tattoo, but much more life like. Her skin seemed to glow as the symbol dimmed until it wasn’t visible anymore. She looked up at Alixcis, and began to cry. Alixcis stood there still in shook from it all, trembling from the sight she had just seen. Having no idea what had just happened in front of her, Alix took a few steps closer to Sabrina, feeling as though she had hurt her.
Sabrina looked up at her companion, begging with her eyes to hold her. Her body collapsed to the ground, here eyes were like small streams, and her soft whimpers began banging inside of Alixcis head. Alixcis came to her, wrapped her arms around her, held her head to her chest, and whispered, “I am not frightened of you that was just… unexpected.”
They both sat in that place for a long time, holding each other, sometime had passed before they both fell asleep. Through the night, Alix awoke to watch her friend sleep.

PART X ---- I am working on this part..

Continue Through It All

The group walked for miles, trying to find Sabrina’s past being. The time they spent walking, Sabrina spent thinking. Each time they stopped, Sabrina seemed to have the same occurrence. Her hands and mind would seem to control an element her skin glowing softly along with a soft symbol seeming to burn into her hand. First there was fire, then the water from the lake, late at night the stars even began to fade when Sabrina thought about them to long. Her hands began to glow brighter each time she “gained” an element. Before long it looked as though she had fire for hands, and each time Alixcis stood there waiting for it to pass with a look of shook on her face. And each time, Alixcis would tell her she wasn’t afraid, she loved her and nothing would scare her away from Sabrina’s side. It had been a week since the first occurrence had happened; the symbols all glow now without fading. They all seemed to pulse in the beat of her heart; Alixcis seemed fascinated by the rhythm and would untie her tail from around her waist and let it sway with the beat. During the day Sabrina wore gloves to hide the glow, although many passerbies would give her questioning looks. They asked if she were ill, or if she had had an accident. Each time Alixcis would say proudly, no she just seems to enjoy wearing her gloves.
One day they came to a large village, full of horse wagons and thieves. The group of course fit in very well, however Alixcis and Sabrina did not. With Alixcis noble complexion and Sabrina’s small figure, they looked as though they came from a small amount of royalty. They soon came to a building, small enough to call a mini inn, in fact it was one. The group waited outside as Sabrina and Alixcis strode inside, to see if they had any rooms available. The pack was unknowingly causing quite a commotion. A few of them had forgotten to wrap their tails around their waists and they were swaying around frightening the towns’ people
“ANTHROS,” cried one town’s person.
“THEY ARE HERE TO KILLS US,” cried another.
The pack all sat still waiting for Alixcis’ return.
While the two girls were inside, they were causing quite a commotion themselves. Alixcis strode to the counter top and asked to speak with the inn keep. A rather stocky man, opened the door and took one look toward Sabrina, inhaled sharply and trooped over to the desk, “Why isn’t it Sabrina Harriett Meckleret, daughter of that harlot queen, and son of the bridge maker, Harmway!”
Sabrina’s eyes where blazing with a sudden anger. Her mind was screaming with so many dangerous thoughts. Alixcis flinched at the sudden burst of energy. She had to catch up with the thoughts that were flying so quickly in Sabrina’s mind. Alixcis soon came to the conclusion that the man wasn’t someone Sabrina had cared for very much.
“How dare you speak to me in that manner, sir, I have yet to speak ill of you! I know very much you’re up bringing isn’t the most impressive either, son of a misguided magistrate and a simple whore.” Sabrina’s words were as sharp as Alixcis claws, which forcefully held them back. The look in the man’s eyes glistened with a fiery anger. His jaw muscles twitched and his hands clinched tight. The mans anger grew with every word that flowed from Sabrina’s beautiful mouth.
“Daviel, I ask of you only this once to give my guard and her men a room to stay, I will go else where if necessary, but do give them a room” Sabrina’s words were strong and cold. Her eyes were swirling with a fierce emotion, one Alixcis had never seen.
