Dreams have been a favorite subject of poets and philosophers for centuries. For some time scientists and reseachers have pierced this mysterious world and discover the first clues to answering the simplest and most intriuging questions surrounding this universal phenomenon.
Everybody dreams, though not everybody remebers having done so; and we are begining to know not only when and for how long we dream, but also why. And experiments have demonstrated that when an individual is deprived - not of sleep - but of dream sleep, it has catastrophic effects on mental and physical health.
What then, of the substance of our dreams? What about the strange cast of characters which emerge to play out their dramas on the stage of sleep? Some seem to be memebers of our families, past and living: others friends; many appear total strangers. Then there are animals; weird situations; at once familiar and hauntingly bizarre and even disturbing.
Here too, scientific signpost exist which point to some explanation of what these characters really symbolize, and why we may have a particular dream at a particular time. We know also that dreams may be able to tell us something helpful about ourselves; about our deepest fears and most secret wishes which may be affecting our behavior without our conscious knowledge.
Now i simply wish to know your opinions about dreams.
If you wish we can also discuss and analyze the meanings of personal dreams etc etc.
blaugh sweatdrop Time to actually start this discussion

Dreams are a bridge from the consciousness to the subconscious. At times it is nothing more than random discharge of the subconscious, however at other times it can allow for your subconscious to give you important information.

The Resurrection Dreams are a bridge from the consciousness to the subconscious. At times it is nothing more than random discharge of the subconscious, however at other times it can allow for your subconscious to give you important information. It truly depends on the persons mind/subconcsious and situation for which the dream is devised. So dreams do have significant purpose to the actual dreamer but its all do random to fully understand. If you actually pay attention to certain dreams and can remember specific details you can most likely connect it with some relivant information. Like I said it truyl does depend on the individual

Since i have the time i'll tell the next 3 dreams that really scared me about myself. First you need backstory on myself to understand a little bit. BackStory For one ever sense i was little i've had sometime working w/ a short temper, i've overcome it, if only to bury it possibly. But im the older brother of two siblings: one brother (2yrs younger) and one sister (4yrs younger). we've gone through alot and personally (at the time) i can't stand my sister she is annoying to me. My brother and me have gone through alot we have our rough times but when one of our "friends" decided to fight my brother, who decided not to fight back cause he was "our friend", well i got pissed and almost got em if his auntie wasn't their to save his butt. Dreams The following dreams occured within 4 days the third night i didn't dream at all. Dream 1 (dreamed in 1st person) Remeber that friend that fought my brother well in this dream after beating my brother, just like what happened i looked at my brothers black eye looked at the "friend", grabbed a stick and chased after him. we went through my yard just like last time but this time instead of making it around the corner to his aunt he tripped, and just like that i was on top of him beating his face off w/ a stick. I woke up a little later feeling slightly sickened yet satisfied not knowing what the next nighjt would bring. Dream 2 (Dreamt in 3rd to 1st person) Like i've said before me and my brother our close so its no suprise i find him in my dreams but this was different. Thsi dream started out alot like another one of my ... Good remebered dreams, inside of a store (nother dream story for later) well after the shower i get out like last time but this time my brother is waving this hanger in my face i tell him to quite but he doesn't i say it again and he continues so ... ( to be continued)

Now some of the dreams ive had are actually sorta complicated to describe since some of them deal with scenery and youd have to have one hic of an imagination to visual them the way i do because I SUCK at describing things like this
Now heres one of them
I was dreaming about someone watching me from outside of this orb. Now i was trapped in some type of orb sorta of like an alternate dimension in this orb alone. But the scenery to it was is sorta unique since above me all i saw was clouds but the formation of the clouds where just swirling in a circular motion sorta like when a tornado starts to form. And below me was nearly the same exact thing except flowing in the opposite direction like a counterpart.
Now for some odd reason i noticed a feather falling down from the top one and as it landed near my feet blue lines sprouted out from the spot it had landed like as if in an instant and it made some weird design sweatdrop No idea what the design was for but as soon as the lines started everything turned black except for the lines which were sorta glowing and with these lines ruins were being created all around me mind you two primary colors were black and blue as the ruins were being finished the feather emitted a white light which spread through out the symbol on the ground and only the symbol.
Then a flash of light was created and then i woke up blaugh sweatdrop Sorta confusing if you try to analyse it but atleast you can say i have one hell of an imagination.

Dreams. A way for my brain to go into "screen saver" mode. I use dreams to have fun. To me, they are a type of play. I like to live other lives than my own in my dream world... Whether or not it has spiritual value, I am not sure. All I know is that I generally like them, even if they're nightmares.
I think I'll come back and mention a few dreams, and perhaps their possible meanings.

I myself for a pretty long while had this recurring dream of a massive space battle ^.^ I'm really into Scifi and I completely loved it, it was so thrilling and amazing and it gave me really good ideas for short stories that I'm writing ^.^
I also had this dream when I was in the set of a movie where we were filming inside this cave with the lights and everything and we were using robotic dogs for the scene when the main character is attacked by the dogs. The dogs go haywire and start attacking people and my arm gets bitten off!! I woke up and my arm really hurt were the dog had ripped it off.
This other dream I have no idea why I had this one at all >.< My family was going up to our apartment at the top of this huge building and the elevator was broken, so we had to use this platform where you pull the rope to bring the platform upwards...well I ended up falling out!! And fifty stories up too. It was freaky!

Me. Well lets just say that I have never had a good dream. When I was a baby and a young child I had night terrors. And now everytime I sleep I see death and despair. Why I do not know. And why or rather how can babies have night terrors when they have'nt really seen anything yet?

Recently I've had a crapload of weird dreams. Two are about my favourite manga (which I won't bother typing up) which shows you how much of a rabid fangirl I am -_-
This dream, I dreamt a while ago. Me and a friend were in a theater, this hu~ge red room and we were sitting way up the back, where the seats are the highest. There was red carpet everywhere, with really short hair (y'know that sort of carpet?) and it was all soft but sort of spiky. We were the only ones in the theater and it was just this huge... red... room that just seemed all crowded but it was all empty. My friend and I started playing Tag all over the theater.
My other friends went to the theater to find us and they started playing tag too. In the middle of the game, all my friends were somehow poisoned by the carpet because this gas was coming out of the carpet or something, and I was running outside the theater screaming really loudly that some people had died. Everyone else outside couldn't see the theater and I was just screaming that someone had died.
This old professor came by and he looked really serious and everything, and he said to me "A person dies every three seconds," and then walked away with a grim look. I got scared and then I tried to run back inside the theater because everyone outside turned grey and I was the only one with color. The theater door wouldn't open, and all the grey started spinning around really fast. It was like... this huge swirl. Then the ground was this hole and I started falling down and, and, and...
SNAP!I was awake. And half of me was hanging upside down off the bed. Yup, nice way to wake up. gonk

I had some pretty cool dreams myself, but I didn't dream for a while, or maybe I did have dreams, but I don't remember them any more razz
When I dream I'm mostly sleepwalking (yes, I'm a sleepwalker sweatdrop mrgreen )
But anyway, I can remember that when I was a little girl, I had the same dream a few times, I dreamed that there was a vulcano, and it was going to burst out. Me and my family started running from it, trying to find some rock to climb on or something. And when we where almost about to be killed I woke up.
I had this dream at least 3 times, maybe more, and all times it was exactly the same. I was about 6 years old I think... I think this dream wanted to tell me how much I care about my family, and that I don't want to lose them, becouse if I lose them I'll lose myself with them!
But it's a pretty strang dream for a 6 year old, though it did make me thinking, do little children are as wise as older people, but do they just don't think about it? Or are they jus dumb, as most people say they are? I don't think they are dumb at all, I think they can be just as wise as we are, but just have to less expirience to really know what everything means...
I'm not making any logical sence at all right now, and I totally am not on the point about dreams any more sweatdrop . But I do think it belongs with the subject 3nodding
