Did you go? I went to see AFI. But man were the tickets expensive. gonk
But wanna hear a story about AFI? Its a nice one. Okay, here it goes.
July 2006: During the performance someone threw a Van's shoe up on the stage. Davey picked it up, and said "I would totally not wear this." he looked at Hunter. "Its not even my size, maybe its for you." he said to him, while throwing it over to Smith who was back stage. Hunter just shook his head, while Jade said "No. It was for me." Than he held up his left foot a bit from the stage, and we could hear Davey laugh.
So, please, share your stories of Warped. Just put in the year before your little story. ^__^

Yes someday. But there are also other bands that are good that you could see. And the whole day is like a giant event. Were you can browse little art galleries, and buy shirts that I haven't seen in any stores.

2006, was my first Warped. The first time it was on Long Island too. It was at Nassau Colliseum, in Uniondale. The town right next to mine.
I went to see my friends, Patent Pending play. I never got to though. Because my brother passed out an hour before their set. :[
I was AWESOME THOUGH! I can't wait 'till this years!!

When it gets closer to the summer, I will have a sticky for Van's Warped Tour 2007. And get some pictures posted and stories of those that have gone already would be welcome.

Totally. And if you mom and dad let you. (maybe I could shuffle out money for your mom or dad to go, that way... they can drive us xd hehe) and I will pay for you, me and Peiko to go. Maybe Peiko could pay for her self. And you, and I pay for me and one of your folks. Hmm... We might have to talk about it.

good MxPx story from warped tour...
We went to their signing as they are my second favorite band and I have a life mission to thank the two people who got me wanting to play bass besides my cousin Jeff. Since mike is one of them it was pretty much a perfect opportunity. Anyway we were in line and they came out in the mean while my friend's sister felt a bit faint so we stood in the shade in line and she was drinking some water but ran out and such. So Tom, their guitarist saw us and was asking if she was ok. Kind of told him she was a bit dehydrated and he got her water and kept an eye on her all through their signing as we went to get her some kind of powerade/gatorade thing. I just thought that was pretty awesome. After that we got to talk with them a bit. I got to thank mike and he actually thanked me as well and was pretty humble about it. They're an awesome band and got many respect points. I went to see them the other night in SF, Mike was just hanging about the merch booth talking with everyone.
Since you mentioned AFI. I'm not a huge fan with their newer albums when they changed their sound a bit but I love their earlier work and have a lot of respect for the band. I saw them last year at BFD in the SF area and just remember how awesome he was on stage. The stage was huge and you could barely keep track of where he was since he spent a lot of time in the audience.

Heh... sounds like Davey... and yeah. That was nice of that guy. I dont know much about MxPx. I am not sure we have a thread about them in the bands subforum. Ya should check it out, and if we dont make one... or ask CuB to make one (she is kinda a**l about that sub forum)
