Let's all decide on a story before we claim characters. How's this?
It is three years after the final showdown with the Demon King. He has been locked away in the last of the sacred stones, the stone of Rausten. But all is not good. A devastating landslide has left Grado in disaray, and the damage done to Renais has not yet been repaired. Chaos still runs amuck, but that is the least of our worries. A dark shroud settles over Rausten, and the evil will be born anew...
Not much, but it's all I could think of.

a second continent crashes into the side. This will open new lands and new evils. I think that is a good route to take, it allows newer movement while keeping some of the old things tied in. A war between the continents could also work with it.

Another FE would make it fantastic. If, for example, Elibe crashed into Magvel, then the past heroes could work together, or their children, or something, to conquer evil. Then, we could have great remnants and morphs all on the same battlefield.

Elibe is FE7 (Eliwood), and Magvel is FE8 (Ephraim). Right?

Yes, that's right. I didn't figure out Elibe until recently, but yes, that's correct.

Like you said, Magvel and Elibe crash into each other, and, i don't know, Ephraim married a woman and got a son or daughter, the same with Roy.
And many of the characters from, FE8 and FE7 could join them. Or we could made our own new characters.
