I like Eragon, Harry Potter, Lauren Myracle's books, Stephinie Meyer's books, pretty much any fantasy book. And I LOVED the Dairy of Anne Frank. Who knew a 12 year old jewish girl 50 years ago could be so good at writing?

Anything by Garth Nix, he's my favorite author of all time! (he wrote Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorson, Shade's Children, The Ragwitch, Seventh Tower Series, Keys to the Kingdom series) I also like the trilogy of books, Song in the Silence, The Lesser Kindred, and Redeeming the Lost by Elizabeth Kerner. Michael Crichton is also up there in my favorites, I'm reading State of Fear right now (but am debating whether I want to read it since it talks about functions, it definitely lives up to its name xD -shudders at thought of math functions-). I've also read/enjoyed Steven Brust's Taltos, Eragon, and the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (if you notice, that's the only girly book I have really read and liked). Besides the Sisterhood, one of the only other real life books I have read and liked was this book called Crank, the whole thing was in poetry form, and it dealt with how drugs can change a person's life, I found it very interesting how the author addressed the situation.

My favorite books are anything by Weis & Hickman, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, The Death Gate Cycle, currently I am reading The Dark Tower series. The Alex Cross novels by James Patterson. And of course the Harry Potter books. I own roughly 300 novels most of which are 300 pages or longer. I love being taken away when I'm reading. I actually go to the places the characters are and I am there with them. The characters are more than just that to me, they become my friends. I cried when Flint died, ditto when Tas and Tanis died. Not so much when Sturm died though because he wouldn't have wanted that. I got teary when Sirius died and when Dumbledore died. I get attached to these people like they were real.

Cool I'll check it out. But first I'm gonna get the new adventure series for Dragonlance. It's been a long time since I've taken a trip to Krynn.

I"d have to say tolkien. He is like the father of fantasy writing anyway! Besides who doesn't love Legolas? (And no i don't mean Orandlo Bloom, although that wasn't a bad choice either.....)

That's what I do too! But none of my friends are addicted to reading the way I am and then they don't get how a book can take you places. It makes me sad... crying But then reading makes me happy again! mrgreen
