What's the worse fashion trend ever? Sometimes, people mistake cool and fashionable for ugly a repulsive... maybe I'm a little too harsh with my words right now.. sweatdrop The worse trend in my opinion was ''crocs''. To me they were really repulsive and I couldn't stand people wearing them. The colours are nice but what can you wear with them? It makes me think of ducks.. I don't know why though.

- What the worse fashion trend that you've ever encountered?

Leggings or skinny jeans with flats or sneakers. No matter who wears them they look bad. I also hate Crocs.

Leg warmers. In my opinion they should have stayed in the "Get Physical" video by Olivia Newton John. That's all I can think of when I see them on people and it is one trend I do not wish to relive. I'm not a fan of crocs either but I give them a little credit. My mom wears them at work-she's a nurse. So I guess if you are on your feet for 12 hours in a medical profession they're ok, but I won't be wearing them to the mall anytime soon.

My goodness! I dispised hated Ugg Boots with a passion. They looked so weird on feet and, although they are warm, they are still extreamly fugly.

I HATE Crocs. If you're medical personnel or a baby, I don't care, but otherwise they're just ugly.

I don't know if this counts or not, but I hate that fashion trends carry over to like, people under 13. It always freaks me out that whatever counts as the current fashions, I will see on some under-developed 12-year old thinking they're hot because they've got the same clothes they're older sister has.

I completely agree with Zoologist. Every time I see a preteen girl in a tube top/halter/low cut shirt, I want to go up and slap some sense into her. Has anyone here heard of the store "Club Libby Lu"? That store is one of the most disturbing places I've ever set eyes on. Every time I walk by, I see a bunch of eight year olds at a birthday party in low cut crop tops dancing in front of it.
One of the worst "fashion" items every invented are those pants that little girls wear that say "Juicy" on the butt. That's like having a siren that goes, "Calling all ***** in a mile radius!"

Crocs XP At first I thought it was just this old hobbo lady trying to be different in NYC but then I saw my friends mom wearing them, I was horrified!

The standard Uggs that have no flare are just BLAH! The boots are better and warm and look good with skinny jeans, you know the ones with patterns and laces and all the cool stuff on them.

Fat people wearing tight clothes. I think people should dress to fit their body type, just cause the anorexic b***h across the street has size 3 pants doesn't mean that you can fit your size 7 a** in them and call it sexy! XP And when people wear tight jeans they have the mushroom thing with their stomachs going on, it's gross!

Ugg boots never really did look good in my eyes and when people wear clothes that dont fit them right just no just no and crocs like lots of people said are just a fashion no no

@ .Nyu- I completely agree with dressing to fit your body type. I'm not saying no one over a size 2 can wear skinny jeans or anything, just buy the right type. Is the mushroom thing you were talking about a muffin top. That's how I have heard it referred to as. When the pants or skirt you are wearing pushes your stomach over the waistband and it looks like the top of a muffin.
@ Zoologist and ShadowMistress, I think you both have good points. I have actually seen Club Libby Lu but have not acutually been in there. I can understand wanting to be like your big sister-having two older ones and a younger one. But I think there is a way for parents to let their kids dress like the older girls, but still appropriate for their age. Things like cropped sweaters, layering, and skinny jeans tucked into boots-fine. Low cut shirts, too short mini shirts, or anything with a message on the but-no way. Stuff like that shouldn't even be made for people under a certain age.

its such a gross place. honestly its screaming "when i get older im gonna be a whore"

Thanks Shadow and Diru. :] I've never heard of Club Libby Lu though!

I agree heavily! In my family, I'm the younger sister (by 10+ years). I guess this whole phenomenon is weird to me because, yes, I looked up to my sister, but that did not equal dressing too old for my age. Up until middle school, I did not worry about make-up, or boys, or what to wear because I didn't have to. I was the biggest tomboy ever, but I was happy without tube tops and mini-skirts.

It's painful to watch because I know that, by dressing like that, those kids are really losing a valuable part of their childhood.

bubbliciousxqt, that sounds like a good paper you're writing!

I still keep seeing Crocs on displays in stores. If a lot of people hate them, why are they considered stylish or cool? Screw whatever the trends say... it's just horrible to look at.
