It was more brutal today than usual, the sun beat down upon Kianga's back, she was only grateful that she didnt have black fur now. Panting was all she could do to keep cool as she traveled across the plains to find a place to relax and cool down. She knew that all the other animals probably had the same idea and all the water holes would be full. But she was at the point where she just didnt care anymore.
Drool dripped from her tongue onto the hot ground, there it was beautiful sweet water and nobody around it. Thats odd she thought shouldn't there be more animals here?. Oh well she wasnt going to put too much thought into it as she hurried foreward to the water.

Adelabu, using every ounce of his strength to move one step after the other, had just spent the day scaring of animals from HIS own private water hole. Well, he liked to think it was his. He might be old, but they didnt need to know that, but because he had used every fragment of strength left in him, he needed a drink, and after chasing the young lions some distance, he wasn't sure if he could make it.
"Wait... it that something coming to MY water hole... "He whispered in his course, deep voice.

Kianga didnt really noticed anyone or anything nearby, she was too thirsty at that moment for it to strike her as odd. she craned her neck down and took a long drink from the watering hole.
Mmmm water, sweet water she thought. She waited way too long to drink as she often does. especially since she wasnt used to being directly in the sunlight from the savanna she had to drink twice as often as she had to in the jungle. It didnt matter though, she was in a generally good mood about being in a pack now, she would never have to be lonley again.
Kianga smiled to herself and took another drink before looking up and around her at the large hippo that seemed to be staring her down.

"Humph," Adelabu grunted. He was looking at something in the distance drinking from his watering hole. "I can fix that," he said and started running, slowy, but surely. When he arrived, he yelled, "Hey! Back away, and I won't hurt you."
((Really, sorry for the shortness, rushed major.))
