My favorite game is "Woosh! Woah! Zap!" Basically you "Woosh" around in a circle and then someone will go "Woah!" and it reverses. Zap! is when someone points to someone else and the woosh jumps to them. There's also groovalicious where you dance to that and then everyone else has to imitate and then FREAK OUT! where someone will scream that and everyone one screams and switches places. You can only do something when the woosh reaches you though.
We play this, but for us it's "Zip, Zap, Boing"
(Zip=Woosh, Zap=Zap, Boing=Woah)
And we have loads of rules for it!
Everyone stands in a circle with their hands together to make a little gun. To Zip the person next to you, you shoot them with your little gun and shout Zip.
To Zap someone you shoot them from across the circle with your gun and shout Zap.
To Boing, you fling your hands in the air and shout Boing.
If you hesitate too long you're out.
If you say the wrong word with the wrong action, you're out.
If you make a move that cannot be made after another, then you're out
(eg - you cannot Boing a Zap, Reflector a Zip, Duck a Zap etc)"Bomb"
Anyone can shout bomb after any move, and everyone has to hit the floor. Last one to hit the floor is out.
"Cowboy"
You mime throwing a lasso to someone across the circle and "pull" them across to you. They have to follow you as you run round the outside of the circle and as you get to their place you take it and they have to continue round to your place. They have to continue the game by saying "howdy cowboy" to the person next to them.
"Catch and Roll"
You can catch a Zip and roll it under everyone's feet. When someone Zips you, you say 'Catch and Roll' and mime that action to the person next to you. Everyone in the circle reacts in turn by jumping up and saying 'Jump'. This must continue until someone catches the Zip by saying 'Catch and Huh!" and throwing it to the person next to them, at which point it turns back into a regular Zip.
You can only catch a Zip.
"Quack!"
You can duck under a Zip by bowing at the waist and saying 'Quack. You literally have to duck underneath the zip. There's no set way of stopping a Quack, like in Catch and Roll, you can just turn it into a Zip, Zap, Cowboy, Catch and Roll etc whenever you want. I'm pretty sure you can't Boing a Quack though...
You can only duck under a Zip.
"Wikkity Wikkity Whack!"
When it's your turn you can say 'Wikkity Wikkity Wack" to the person next to you and do a suitably pathetic-looking, pseudo-black movement. Everyone in the circle then has to, in turn, say "Yo Mama!" to the person next to them until it gets back to the person who started the move...they have to then say 'Word!' to the person they originally sent the first move to.
"Ping, Pang, Pong"
You Ping someone like you do a Zap or a Cowboy
(across the circle) and you and the person you Pinged have to meet in the middle of the circle, clap your hands together
(your left with their right, your right with their left) and say 'Pang', swap places in the circle, and then the person you sen the Ping to has to say 'Pong' to someone on either side of them to revert to a Zip.
"Reflector"
Reflector is to Zap, what Boing is to Zip.
(When someone Zips you, you can say Boing and fling your hands in the air, which 'Boings' the 'Zip' back to them) When someone Zaps you, you can say 'Reflector!' and cross your arms in front of you like a shield, which reflects the Zap back to them.
"Zip, Zap, Zoo"
If Zip and Zap are said immediately after each other
(as in the title of the game) then the third person in the chain can choose to say 'Zoo!' and then a random animal noise. Everyone in hrte circle must then, in turn, make an animal noise until it returns to the person who set the move off, who then resumes the game with a Zip.
Confused?
I was!
But when you get used to it, it's the best game ever and we often have power matches where we play as fast as we can and get people out.
There are more moves but I can't remember them all.
You can always make more up.
