Gotham Feary
Captain

PostPosted: Mon Feb 05, 2007 9:06 pm

Every single night in Gotham was dark, but this one almost out-did itself. All the stars in the skies seemed to have taken the night off, leaving the eerie darkness to itself as the moon ran away after them. Every cricket hushed as the minutes, seconds, moments ticked by without interruption. It was the narrows, the darkest and most dangerous part of Gotham, where everything died at one moment in the seconds, in the minutes. Nothing but the shadows moved, the shadows with muscles, the shadows with wicked grins, the shadows. There were shadows from the right, and shadows from the left, nothing in between them as they appeared in accumulative numbers in an abandoned construction site. There was pain, lots of it, too much of it. There were yells that broke the skies, there were bent crowbars. And in the end of the night’s rapture, there were bodies. Only two left behind by the time sirens approached, two bodies, one from each group…only those needed to start the spark Gotham needed for…

Echo looked over the yellow tape from her post in the closest roof possible, camera out and clicking away at the two bodies. She wasn’t smiling. This was something that would keep the smile off for weeks, even after it was solved. It was already looking gang related, they were both young. One boy one girl, two families that would be sobbing upon hearing the news. She didn’t smile when she realized it meant and smelled of an impending under cover assignment either. If she knew the Bat as well as she thought she did, he wouldn’t hesitate to pull any strings on this one.

Sphectre poked his head through a wall. He was not put off by dead bodies he just didn't ant to wind up one himself.

Lowering the camera with no more uneasy feelings, Echo looked from her post to the first 'circle' around the crime scene, mostly nosy gossipers and other civillians, but she looked off and used the stealth learned from Batman, the agility she had naturally, the hyperness of Harley and the careful footing from too many cane-whackings from her sensei to creep along the shadows of buildings to fins any unsavory characters around.
