Plot Kalaeris -PHASE 6: After its refusal to accept, Orb launches an attack on the EA. The EA team's debut, with the four new units out to attack the incoming forces. brianchan90 SCENES:
-fleet from atlantic federation: see richard henderson giving orders from a land base, conference with naval captain.
-A-0 crew talking amongst themselves before launching. (topics anyone?)
-ORB Emirs Meeting. Cagalli is having trouble controlling certain members who want to open fire first on the EAF. she tells them they shouldn't fight but no one listens to her.
-Kira talks to Lacus via communication screen. Lacus forbids him from fighting
-fighting begins: random exchange of talk between A-0
-OR: Kairynn and Audrina watched televised broadcast that is available only to military and politicians. Kairynn voices concerns of another war.
-OR: Ryoku and Tarren reach nearby military base and sneak in to find more information about the hidden one they discovered. see soldiers crowded around screen in base room? talks to one another about it.
-back to fighting. A-0 continue against ORB Astrays. shows Henderson talking about why they initiate fighting. Astray units talk amongst each other. they want Cagalli to lead them.
-Kira pulls Cagalli aside after meeting. convinces her to take command of military defenses instead of being "angstying" - quote mishu. Shoji walks in and offers to take the job, but Cagalli refuses.
-OR: Daniel and Ciel hear rumours of a fight, but cannot find any broadcast about it. they're walking to meet with Audrina and hear it broadcasting in a meeting room.
-OR: Athrun watches fight from military base he snuck into.
-battle ends. both sides retreat.

Carriers flew over him as he stood on a balcony outcrop, watching the submarines and warships leave the docks. Richard Henderson's hair, tied back in an old-fashioned strap was blown back as a second squad took off. He glared up at the sky then stalked back into the room where his escorts stood, a video-line open.
"Tell me Captain, do you think there are enough of you to give ORB the warning it deserves?"

The Captain was aboard the first warship to leave the harbour. The fleet being sent to the edge of ORB's waters consisted of two aerial squadrons, two submarine and four convoys. Being of the highest status, he was given the title as leading Commander in the mission.
"Sir, Mr. Henderson is on line 1."
Walking off the bridge to the communications sector, he opened up to video-line to see Mr. Henderson walking up to the screen. Saluting he responded with a great poise for duty.
"Yes, Sir! I have trained with many members of the selected teams, and I know they will do very well in the approach, Sir!"

Henderson smiled. "I have heard good recommendations to promote you Captain, and I expect you to live up to that and prove you are capable enough to receive no less than the title of Commander, perminantly.
"You know your task. Rain down on ORB's military docks, but leave the rest untouched. This is only meant to scare them, and prevent them from accusing our good name in front of the world any further. Cagalli Yula Attha will not be allowed to simply accuse whoever she wants without solidary consultations with me.
"Is Absolute Zero on prepared and in the best carrier, Captain?"

"Yes, Sir!" The Captain responded. "I saw to it personally that they were in the front carrier with the best position for attack, Sir!"
He frowned at the thought. He knew very little about Absolute Zero's purpose, only that it was made up of the best Natural pilots known in the world today, at least to the knowledge of the Atlantic Federation. He had known Paul, naturally, having fought with him in the Second Bloody Valentine War. However, he did not like him one bit. He was always a nosy, loud, and constantly bragging showoff. It disgusted him that Paul had been ranked higher than him and accepted as a special and distinct manner. It just made his ego bigger when the Captain had come to greet the old warmate.
This was one of the few reasons he needed this mission to be a success, to show Paul that he too was going up in the ranks.
"Sir, the Operation will begin as soon as we reach ORB's territorial waters! Countdown is ten minutes till we are in range."

Henderson's face showed a scowl for a split second, but it was quickly covered up.
"Very well, but see if you can pick up the speed, Captain. ORB's radar is better than anything, and the sooner you reach the waters, the less time they will have to assemble and retaliate. Don't fail me, Captain."
There was a pause before Henderson gave a sigh. "I'm just nervous I suppose, and the only way to calm it is by talking with my leading Captain. Is there anything else to report?"

The Captain shook his head. "No, Sir, nothing else. And it is alright, Sir." Truth be told, he was getting tired of saying 'Sir' constantly, but he knew the utmost respect would put him in Henderson's good books. "Sir, I shall pick up the speed by ten knots. You have nothing to worry about, Sir, this fleet will not fail you!"
And with a final salute, the Captain closed his connection to the video-line. Returning to the bridge, he faced his crew. "Alright men! Prepare yourselves for the operation. Increase the speed by ten knots! Be careful where you are aiming at. We are trying to make this a simple retaliation to protect the name of the Atlantic Federation. Do not allow any civilian areas to be hit by accident. We are not here to start another war. Contact Absolute Zero and tell them to launch. They will be the ones conducting the offensive against any of ORB's military defenses. Command the squadrons and the subs to take on the ports. Convoys, prepare to support them. Standby. Operation begins in five minutes!"

Henderson watched the screen go blank and turned away from it. Walking over to the chair and coffee table that had been tidied for him at the corner of the room, he glanced at the men who had been present for the conversation. "Not to worry," he told them sternly, "it is a defensive move on our part. No need to think of any retaliation from the Oceanic Republic or the PLANTs. However, it would be good to gain an ally from each of them."
Looking down at the cup of tea, no doubtedly placed on the tray just for him, he picked it up and took a sip, relaxing into his chair further. "Ah, now sit back gentlemen. You and the world are about to witness what the new and reformed Federation will do to those who wrongly accuse us!

"Well, well, well... we're going to get our hands dirty now, are we?" Alex said lightly. "I suppose that it's our job, after all. The secluded, unknown group of elite pilots always acts behind the scenes. Such a shame, though - a shadow job like mine will never be known by the ladies of the world..." He sighed in mock shame.
Pushing the radio button on his control board, he said, "This is Nihil. Reporting in to central command. Ready for launch." Alex was about to slip on his helmet, but he had to message Tanya.
"Don't forget to look at my radiant moves, Tanya!" he called, grinning. "But don't get so absorbed in me that you lose focus. No, I wouldn't want your death on my head."

"Ugh," Tanya spat in response to Alex's comment. "You wish, loverboy." She deftly manoeuvred her mobile suit around, so that it was properly aligned to be launched. Everything had to be perfectly in place before she could turn her soul loose.
Of course, this wasn't the right place. Her goal had been to fight ZAFT, but after the ceasefire and treaties between the two countries she doubted she would ever get the chance. But she was a girl driven by hatred, and hatred was easily passed. The fact that ORB even dared to insult the Earth Alliance in this way was enough to make her incensed.
They asked for it, she thought grimly.

Will knew he was late, but he also knew nobody cared. Even with the timeline, they couldn't begin the operation without him or Paul. Strolling at an average pace over to his mobile suit, he looked up to see the Nihil and the Nightmare already moving towards their launch positions. Some people were already staring at him as if he had gone mental, since he seemed in no hurry to reach his mobile suit at all. However, he was perfectly smart in the brain and made a point of it as he reached his mobile suit, clapping his hands so that the platform wire came hurtling down to him. Going up to the cockpit, he smartly threw himself in and closed it. He flipped on the power and moved in two strides to his position.
"William Archer." he stated his full title through the radio. "Ravager on standby, prepared to launch."
He turned and saw Paul's cockpit still open. Flipping on the radio line for all the team to here, he gave a shout. "PAUL, GET IN." He clipped off his message and sat back. "What a time for our leader to be the last one ready."

Paul was sitting in his cockpit, boasting to the mechanics and off-duty bridge crew about his previous mission.
"...and then I slashed the cockpit with my beam dagger core! Of course, there were too many of them coming, so I left it at that, but you shoulda seen that guy's face! He was mouthing 'that must be one hell of a Coordinator!' And I threw my head back and laughed because he had no idea I was a Natural. Simply astounding that a Natural of my talent can beat simple Coordinators. And then, there were a score of Zakus coming, and I was locked on by a couple of them, but I quickly did the reverse barrel-roll, a trade mark move I perfected for Absolute Zero, and I t-"
"PAUL, GET IN."
"Alright alright." Paul said with a sigh. "Sorry Ladies, Gentlemen. I'll finish the story another time." Failing to notice the exasperated looks on their faces as he close the cockpit, he beamed as he opened up his radio system to the rest of the team. "No need to shout anymore Will. I was the first one here you know, got the whole thing covered! Alex, looking smart! How you doing dearie? All set to go?" He knew what kind of reaction Tanya would have to that and it was the exact reaction he needed for her to show her full talent on the mission.
"Right, our job is to fight all mobile suit defenses that ORB brings our way. Intercept, destroy, kill, whatever word you wanna use. Leave the rest of it to the fleet. I'll lead as always, and Will, flank me. Alex and Tanya can do the tag-team formation once I take down the front forces. Got it?"

"Yes, mommy," Alex said at Paul's commands, exasperated. "Don't you worry, your son's gonna make you proud." He strapped himself properly into the cockpit, lowering the control keypad to his lap. Sealing off other communications that could deter his launch pattern, he let only the connection to central command open.
"But Tanya, don't lose yourself. These aren't who you are truly after. Don't lose sight of that." He knew he couldn't hear her any more, but even if she could, she would have merely shrugged it off. He used to believe in God, a long time ago, but not now.
So he didn't know why he prayed to this God to keep Tanya sane.

"Hmph! You'll see just how ready I am, Paul. How about you get ready yourself? Not going to make some cheesy speech before we leave?" Tanya snapped. She didn't need it, of course, but she wanted to just be able to wring her hands around that idiot's babbling head and tear it off -
Calm down, calm down. She seriously needed some psychology classes or something. Then again, it wasn't her fault she was stuck with some babbling talent. He thinks he's so special, he thinks he's so great. Well, he does have some ability on the field... no, she was going to show him what she was made of. She wasn't the only girl on Absolute Zero for nothing.
Tag-team, right? She could do that. Alex does the stuff at front, she unleashes the cannons at the back. Yeah, she was fine.
"This is Tanya Lowe," she reported to central command. "Nightmare set to launch. Ready when you are."
She sensed something nagging at her, something quite odd, but she couldn't put a finger on it. She could have sworn someone was saying her name, though...
