Hey guys. XD I know some of you are from dearly beloved Canada, so I know ytou know all about our WONDERFUL health care system. sweatdrop So I be askin' for your help. heart
SO, I was reading a little biography-booky thing, "Normal" by Amy Bloom. It was intrsting and informative, and talked mainly about guys like us, Females to Male, acknowledging the fact that it seems like there aren't many of us out there.
People used to believe that for every 4 MtF, there was 1 FtM, but it's now estimated to be about 1:1..And I believe it said 1 in every...20,000, or 200,000 or something like that was transsexual.
Anyway, the book said some stuff, some of it confused me, and some of it I found hurting me, so I won't talk about that.
But ther first person talked about in this book, a Lyle someone, was found to be trans when he was 14, and started getting T at 14, and top surgery at 15, then bottom surgery at like... 20 something. His parents had to pay for all of it, because they lived in the US and it was simply considered "Cosmetic" surgery, so it couldn't be insured. He was 28 when he was interviewed by this woman, and still living in a trailer is a trailer park because his family used so much money...I didn't realize it was so expensive.
Anyway, does the same thing apply here, in Canada, that we aren't insured or covered for it? And, if it doesn't, if I went to the US to get surgery done, would I still be covered?
