Medulla, Homogenic, Telegram, Vespertine, Debut/Post(I didn't LOVE either of these). I don't own any of her live albums, her greatest hits album, Gling Glo, or Music from the Drawing Restraint 9 so I can't talk educatedly about any of them. And I chose not to include the Army of Me remixes album because those remixes are performed by other artists.

I haven't gotten to listen to enough of her stuff. I want to start buying albums, but i'm not sure where to begin. If it helps, some of my favorite bands are Modest Mouse, My Brightest Diamond, Primus, and the Decemberists. I also like a french artist named Camille and recently fell for Welcome, but if you don't know those, my taste leans towards the dreamy and experimental more than the safe and normal. Hence wanting to hear more Bjork. wink If you guys could reccomend one album you'd buy above all others, i'd be interested to hear it.

My advice is Homogenic or Vespertine. Or to get a great overview of all her songs, check out family tree or greatest hits. Greatest hits will be cheaper, obviously.

I love the decemberists and modest mouse too. hmmm.....well, if you want something calming-ish, you might try vespertine. If you want one of her more unusual albums, try Homogenic or medulla. I think you'd probably like either of those two.

When I first bought medulla in 04'. I was really wary of it, and I already owned almost all of her CDs. I think it was the guttural moans or the heavy breathing in the background of most the of the songs. It took me about six months to swallow that CD. (metaphorically)

I was already used to the screaming in her CD's and I liked it, but this was something completely different.

Well, I only own a few albums and I like them all, but here they are in descending order of best and on.
Post Debut Vespertine
I like a lot of songs off of Telegram but I don't own the album because I can't find it anywhere and I have no way of ordering stuff offline since I don't have a credit card.
